  Unique skill: Vengeance - Rendering herself unable to move, Eri receives an additional 15% damage, as well heightens the chance for a critical strike against herself. Upon receiving damage, the effect will end resulting in the gain of a counter-strike buff. For the next strike Eri deals bonus damage equal to the amount of damage received in addition to her base damage (This can critically strike). As well, Eri's agility doubles for a ten second duration, or until the counter-strike effect has been used.

  Advantages
  
  
  • Counter-Strike: Vengeance behaves much like a counter-strike. As the true effects of this ability can only take place if she is attacked within it's five second duration.
    
  • Damage output/Double Critical: This ability holds an extremely high damage output. Seeing as the ability not only adds the damage received, but allows that additional damage to critically strike on occasion. There is even the rarity of the double critical. Rather, when someone gets a critical hit on her, and she strikes back with an additional critical.
    
  • False Alarm: If the initial effect of Vengeance is not triggered by an opposing attack, the cooldown is halved.
    
  
  
  Disadvantages
  
  
  • Counter-Strike: Again, Vengeance behaves like a counter strike. Hence, if an attack is not received within the five seconds, no effect will occur.
    
  • Eri's Stance: With Katana now sheathed, it is obvious that she is using the ability Vengeance. Merely readying for the possible incoming attack, one can visually see the warnings. As well, this includes her showing her back to the enemy before her almost as if to taunt them.
    
  • Damage Taken: Though it contains the possibility of an extreme damage output, Eri must first bite the damage. In other words, the weaker the attack she receives, the less her counter will do.
    
  • One chance: Even if the initial effect is triggered and Eri receives the Counter-Strike buff, if her next attack is dodged it will be rendered useless.
    
  • Risk vs Reward: This is ability is an advantage as well a disadvantage to bother Eri and her opponent. Seeing as it becomes more possible to take her out with one last strike, there also lies the chance she will survive with a hair of health and strike back even harder.
    
  • Cooldown: Vengeance has a three minute cooldown between uses.

  Eri is a social outcast, partially because of her own choices in life. Her attention is only taken by those who could possibly provide something. Otherwise, they are mere socialites that are attempting to cage her in a new hole. Making friends with this girl, is a rather difficult task, even after you accomplish it. She tends to be rather possessive over the few people that can get close enough, often times showing hostility to their other friends. Knowing that this trait of hers only pushes people away, she tends to keep it from happening in the first place.
  
  
  I only know how to hurt you.
  
  
  Eri could also be considered a delinquent. Constantly looking down upon others even if they are in the seats of superiority. She knows full well that her education falters before that of a middle school student, forcing her conversations to consist mainly of insults or other untamed terms. She has even been known to use others, or even sacrifice a great deal of morals in order to achieve revenge.
  
  
  I just want to disappear..
  
  
  Within the gaming world, she may very well be a ticking time bomb. She appears to be drawing closer and closer to the doors of insanity as talk of floors being cleared grows. She fears returning to the other world, she wants to stay here where there are only strangers. The only comfort she finds is talking to random mobs, hostile or neutral despite their incapability of responding. That is of course, until death comes to take it's toll. She recklessly puts together her stats, sacrificing health and defense for overall power. She accepted the fact that her death will come by this world, but just why is it that she fights at all?
  
  
  I won't give them that satisfaction. Not anymore.

  Once, at some point in her life, Erisieve was a rather bubbly child. She had two loving parents, each one making a decent income. Not exactly enough to live luxuriously as much as to just get by. Either way, it was a life that any seven year old child would enjoy. At school she had friends, and at home she had two understanding parents that she could never replace.
  
  
  This is how I have to be..
  
  
  That was of course, until middle school. Living so close to Akihabara Erisieve came to indulge in animes, as well other little hobbies. But of course, classmates were beginning to mature, seeing it as childish. In efforts to fall into some kind of crowd, she altered her personality slightly. Announcing that she liked the darkness despite being afraid, arguing that she liked the color red when it was actually violet. Nothing short of the classic denial for her age.
  
  
  It might not be the smart choice..
  
  
  However, her grades took a vast tumble, making D's and F's her 'normal' range. She was far too concentrated on trying to make new friends to deal with studies. And as more years passed, she would fall further and further from the crowds. In result she tried harder and harder to be what she thought was 'cool'. Before one could even realize, the tame and bubbly girl was gone, unable to go back.
  
  
  But this is who I am now..
  
  
  Upon entering high school, she was secluded. Seen as a trouble maker, as she was known for bullying others for no apparent reason. No one really understood how the others treated her, constantly pushing her emotional strength to the limit with their harshness. All she could do was stand up, push harder, and act like she wasn't even phased. It wasn't even long after second semester that rumors began to spread about her questionable purity.
  
  
  No matter what I have to sacrifice..
  
  
  When things reached a breaking point, Erisieve actually chose to forcefully steal the most popular guy's first kiss. Though she sacrificed her own, she thought it would directly attack his countless fans. In the following few weeks, she fell into a fight nearly every day. Her position of seclusion was completely secured.
  
  
  I just can't return..
  
  
  She would drop out of school, and attempt to dye her hair white. Originally she thought it would bring about a new beginning. But, when one tries to whiten straight black hair, it never works out as expected. Seeing the splotches of red within the mirror, she knew that the chemicals had damaged her scalp. But the odd thing was how she came to enjoy it. This resulted in red highlights that mimicked the color of that day.
  
  
  I want to escape..
  
  
  Red was a beautiful color. It appears when something more painful exists, something that can take away her thoughts. It was this drastic change in thoughts and actions that forced the parents to send her away. Every other week her mental state would be checked, seemingly unchanging. She was sane, it was merely a young girl that decided to change far too much. All that remained in her life was her hobbies, anime and games. Her parents could no longer understand her, and seemed to walk on thin ice if her presence was known. She wanted to change back, she wanted to find some way to find inner comfort. And then Sword Art appeared.
  
  
  This is my home now, and no one will take it away.

  • Extra Stat Gain: Weapon Master is a Skill condenser, in so much that every weapon skill that he had gained on the road to this skill now exists as one skill. To put into perspective, this skill is roughly nine skills combined, with each and every benefit gained now conveniently filed as a single skill slot. Also, as the mastery level of this skill increases, the bonus stats awarded by mastering any and every weapon are given to the wielder of the skill. (Ex. Katana gives Strength+5 and Agility+ 5 at mastery 100 and Rapier gives Agility +10 at the same mastery level when equipped. the wielder gets both at mastery level 100 for Weapon Master if the skill is equipped. *See Disadvantages, Mastery level for clarifications*)
    
  • Quick Swap: This ability allowed quickly replacing any one weapon with any other weapon in the inventory, whether one or two-handed in nature. This is the main reason it is such a terrifying skill, as it give the wielder the option to use a weapon, only to switch fighting styles just in case the first weapon proves ineffective.
    
  
  
  Disadvantages
  
  
  • Mastery Level: It is true condensation of nine or more skills into one, as such it is proportionally harder to master by a factor of the amount of the skills it covers. (Ex. if the combat skills are 9, conventional mastery is reached at 9000 points instead of 1000. Maximum value is still 1000, but only in appearance. Gaining mastery level is 9 times harder. Kirito himself only mastered 5 skills the entire two and so years.) To counter this, there are certain conditions in which mastery levels are gained faster yet these tasks are more often than not suicidal. (Ex. Break a weapon= points gained x 2.5 , fight with health in the red zone = points gained x 1.25 , carry nothing but weapons= points gained x 1.5, use no sword skills when attacking = points gained x1.75 etc)
    
  • Weapon Availability: The ability to wield a large amount of weapons is hindered by several factors, including the quality of weapons. It would be extremely difficult to find multiple weapons of high quality as the floors get harder and resources scarcer. To do so would take much time and money, things that could be saved if the user stuck to a single weapon. Inventory slots are also taken up by the multiple weapons, instead of crystals and potions that could mean the difference of life and death. Also the sheer weight of carrying so many items might be to much for the wielder to fight properly,endangering him even more.

  Come on, it never mattered who was right, only that WE are left...
  
  
  Morally, he is a lose cannon at best, down right uncaring at worst. He does not care how it affects others, or the general populace, only that he and those he hold dear benefit. If given the choice to sacrifice the rest so he and his chosen few would be able to escape the Game, he would take it in a heartbeat. He comes off as cold and heartless to others, when in truth he simply guards those he holds dear, no matter what the cost.
  
  
  Now then, let's go about this logically...
  
  
  He is calculating and cruel, taking every single opportunity he can grab and exploiting it to the fullest. If to take an Item he would have to kill, so be it. If there is no way of survival but to leave some players to the slaughter he will do so without hesitation. To him, every other player is a piece in some grand game, and he will manipulate them as such. That being said, he would always take the road most efficient and with the least number of deaths.
  
  
  The strong will fail, the weak simply regret trying, I do neither...
  
  
  He will not accept failure, especially from himself. Come hell or high water, if he is confronted with the choice of giving up and admitting his failure or death, he would probably find a way to torture the one who forced him to make that choice. No matter how long it takes, no matter how hard, he will go and pursue his task relentlessly until only success can come.
  
  
  We've always walked with the belief that a madman actually told the truth that there is an escape. Because of that one act, I find myself asking if we are just as crazy as he is...

  I never liked the way they referred to fencing...
  
  
  There was once a time Yukito lived by the virtue of his name. A cute little child who never seemed to be able to sit still, he would always scamper here and there, always to find something to do to sate his curiosity for the world. His energy was boundless, impossible to contain even as his parents tried their hardest to. Even his siblings could not hope to match the level of endurance he had, playing Countless activities came and went, but the one that did stick was fencing, or kendo...
  
  
  Really the whole 'way of the sword' attitude, it makes me sick...
  
  
  He changed when a sword was in his hand, the chaos was stilled, in both mind and body. His energy was funneled into the sword, and in turn, the grace and power the sword represented flowed back into him. He attained what practitioners accomplished for years in the span of months, almost as if he was born to wield such a blade. Within half a year, he was deemed responsible enough to hold a true blade, and several were given as a gift to him from a dear friend of his father. With a his favorite blade in hand, his skill only rose, frighteningly rapid.
  
  
  It never had anything to do with honor...
  
  
  The day came when it rose too much, and instead of awe, people looked at him with fear and jealousy. He was but a boy then so he could not understand why people seemed to turn on him for something he was obviously good at. Still, he was kind, and gentle as his name implied, and so he humored them. For a time his sword was stilled, not in his hands but mounted on a wall. The chaos that once followed him inevitably returned.
  
  
  It could probably care less about restraint...
  
  
  One half of the populace hated him for being better, and now the second called him a coward after caving under the pressure. The bullies inevitably came, and so did the insults the ridicule from all sides. Those he thought were his friends found themselves among the heckling crowd while his enemies simply smiled at their victory. Still, he had far too much discipline to retaliate.
  
  
  It's a weapon and like all others, one that craves for blood...
  
  
  The incident happened a few days after. He was never part of a rich family, they had much to be thankful for but could hardly separate themselves from the middle class. Still one night, someone had entered their home. It was a silent, completely clean act of robbery that only went awry when a soft thud entered the robber's ears. A knife was pulled out. A body hit the floor. The rest of it was a blur, but he came to in a pool of blood, in between the body of a masked man and his dear little brother. Various items: several pens, what was once a lamp, an encyclopedia, and of course, his prized weapon all lay on the floor around him, soaked in the life liquid. That was the day the snow rabbit was completely buried under an avalanche.

His nose is rather reddened - a side effect of logging in with a cold.

unique skills are not unwelcome the idea is for about 4 to 8 rpers keep it small for now maybe expand later. I don't mind unique skills as long as they are not outlandish and basically god modding.

I feel slightly bad about it but the more I thought of my character the more I thought that his appearance and geno-type were not genuine to what I felt so I decided to scrap him and create a whole new character one with a bit more age and without a previous experience in SAO.

ha we'll see just realize absolutely never played a game before. he saw the game as a challenge so he decided to play and has absolutely no experience in video games or VRMMORPGs

It's all still in him, the mind and skills I mean, and it's not like he's pushing buttons to slash and stab or anything like that anymore. He would do fine. The only problem would be adjusting to the presence or absence of strength and speed values.

true I was thinking since all his martial art syles are mostly about the counter attack I would style a unique skill off off his ability to use his hands in combat like how most sword masters still use their whole body to inflict damage not just the sword... but idk seems a little too OP.


Maybe I'll make a defensive skill?... hmmm...

Personal opinion, the unique skills are kind of useless during the first phase, we are starting at floor 1 with base stats after all (correct me if I'm wrong). Mine would only be useful after the double digits, and then it's still hard to use. Also, you don't need to make a skill like that, Martial Arts, second floor, it already exists.

no not the skill martial arts im talking about the use of kenpo and Krav Maga techniques with the sword the idea of turning an opponents attack into a counter attack that does sever damage. the idea of ending the fight as quickly as possible is the basis for both of those martial arts. still I think I have an idea that fits his sword style I chose that i'll keep a secret for now. 
Oh btw I'm lloking for ideas on monsters got any?

heres an odd question if your character carries nothing but weapons into battle does that mean he's like an ancient scott charging into battle as naked as the day he was borne

No, there is default equipment after all, and the fact that the thing that did not allow them to wrestle under the sheets is still on (chapter 16.5, friends told me not to read it so I didn't warning NSFW), nudity should be an impossibility. Silly people, you don't have to hold back from posting, I can easily make a comeback even if you race ahead four pages. Though I appreciate the thought of you two holding back for me. I had a nice nap, then woke up to hear my internet node shut down. Anyways, I shall start working on a post in about three or four hours.
