Lore5: Graphical view of Charm trees

Scratch that. Looks like it was a browser caching issue on my part.

Question:

Why do some Charm trees look nice, while others look like crap?

I even deleted the PNG file for the DB Tactics tree and regerated it. It's still fugly.

I added Bitstream Vera Sans to ~/.fonts and set up "dot" to use that.  I don't think it took (thanks, fontconfig), so I removed the font spec.  Please kill the cron job until I can look into this more.

Looks good.

I've seen some graphs where a box is replacing the quotation marks.  I haven't seen any graphs that have "bad" fonts aside from that.  Please confirm that the graphs look good.

Hey, how much of a bitch would it be to have the canonical Charms come up as a different color on the trees?

Since I'm already working on adjusting the colors and such, let me break it down.

1. The filler color will be according to Exalt type (e.g. Solar gold, Lunar silver)

2. OPTIONAL: detect the current rating of a Charm and mark up the name/box somehow to reflect that (this is something EC did, partially)

3. OPTIONAL: bolding the first name in a Charm cascade (this is what WW's diagrams do)

So what do you have in mind, specifically?

Just a different shade for WW Charms, so you can lok at the tree and quickly see what's canonical and what's fan-submitted. Is that doable?

Charm labels aren't changed.  However, user-submitted Charms are now drawn with a bold border.  Other changes have been made as well - go look.

Sweet. As long as there's a visual distinction, that works :)

It hasn't been working since the script changed. I had to tweak the cron job a bit, but it seems to be OK now.

For those of you who are too lazy to actually check it out, here's what these trees currently look like:

Only, in Lore5, they're clickable.

Yup. Very very pretty :) .

... I've been meaning to write up some code for doing precisely what that does for a long time. One never seem to get around to it tho'.
