Theme Song

"Got white hair, eyes all crazy
Now most mad men don’t phase me
But these guys, I’ll admit it
Got me scared—we’re finished...

You did not invite them, and neither did I
But they’re here—drink up, we’re all gonna die..."

Ruled By: Queen Suzane Hildren

Suzane.jpg

Age: 48

Race: Kildran

She is the widow and second wife of the recently deceased King Anthony II. She is acting ruler of Kildra after the War of Royalty (also known as The Fourth Kildran Civil War) where she waged war against her step-son, Unger II, and the Royal Kildran Army and won. She will reign until her birth son, Alzwon comes of age. She is in her late fourties yet still holds the often spoke of legendary beauty she had in her twenties. She is highly intelligent, wise, and calculating, but yet can still hold the filthiest conversation with any of the knights in her kingdom due to her sense of humor. She lacks the interest in the Noble class' squabbles that her late husband and step-son had, and tries to pass off all issues to Chancellor Virin.

Kildra is a kingdom that is currently being run by Queen Suzane Hildren until her son, the Prince heir Alzwon, comes of age to rule. The kingdom was founded several decades before what is considered the first recorded year to Kildrans, making it the third oldest nation on Azae. Kildra still holds the same noble and peasant class system it has had since it's creation, although it has only been in the recent few years that the Queen has allowed wealthy Nomasdae families to ascend to nobility. It is this change in equality, along with many of the noble family houses supporting her step-son in the "War of Royalty", that has created the current tension filled climate throughout the country. The Queen's trusted advisor, Chancellor Virin, has been doing his best to keep the nobles pleased and protect the families claim to the throne. The nation has had a steadily rising crime rate in the poor villages furthest from the capital. Racism between Kildrans and Nomasdae continues to be an issue amongst both classes. Kildra is located directly South of T'Odis, separated by the Great Ice Mountains and the T'Odis Gate built into them. To it's West is Roadalia, also separated from it's neighbor by the Roadalian Wall. To Kildra's South in the desert is Indoria. Most of the nation is covered in hilly grassy plains and rivers. There are a few forests left as many were torn down over the years to make room and build cities.

Population:
1,750,000

Races:
65% Kildran, 25% Nomasdae, 9% Kildran-Nomasdae mix, Less than 1% Other (Parshumian, T'Odis, other mixes)

Religion(s): Religion of Azae(All interpretations), The Worship of Anahit, some Devotion to the White Being temples, & the first Sea God Vavos temple has recently been constructed at the port city of Yensa.
Capital: Kein

Culture of Kildra:
Kildra is the third-eldest nation of Azae, after T'Odis and Parshum. Its rich history is evidenced by ancient and grand cities across its landscape, although admittedly many forests from the days of old had to be cleared over the centuries to construct them. Kildra enjoys a relatively mild climate compared to its neighbors. The winters are cold but Kildrans do not suffer through ice storms like those in T'Odis and the summers are warm, but not the blistering heat of Libertia or Indoria. Much of the year is tepid with grey skies in the north and a more bright day of sun in the south. Commoners typically wear long-sleeved tunics and trousers. A number of the upper-class nobility allow fashion to dictate their wardrobe and use it as a sign of their status while other brass warrior nobles consider such dress as frivolities.

The holidays in Kildra are numerous and usually mark the Born-Day of kings, queens, princes, or princesses, or the victory day of significant battles. Many Kildrans are not as religious as those in Rodalia, although the Religion of Azae has been becoming more popular. Missionaries of the Religion of Azae have been attempting to spread the word and have new churches built. Nomasdae commoners and nobles alike practice the worship of the Nomasdae warrior god Anahit. The T'Odis portion of the population has established temples to their Devotion to the White Being.

Kildra is unique in that is the only nation with a rigid class system. Only sanctioned nobles are permitted to own land. Each notable city within Kildra has a ruling family that owns the land, presides over it, handles day-to-day rules, and taxes the residents on behalf of the crown. These cities and their ruling families each also have their own army of sworn knights that are promised to the crown, should the crown have such need. There have been many conflicts and skirmishes between the ruling families over the years. After the War of Royalty, many Nomasdae mercenaries that helped Queen Suzane to victory were elevated to nobility status; this has angered some older Kildran families as they find it to be a disgrace and dishonor. Racism between Kildrans and Nomasdae is prevalent in all levels of Kildran society. For those that are not fortunate enough to have been born to a noble status or granted same in the war, the division of wealth between the common people and the nobility is vast. The poor have almost completely destitute and crime has risen in recent years. Bandit and pirate groups have become more prevalent which has caused issues for the ruling families and city officials.

The Holy Queendom of Roadalia

_____

Ruled By: Queen Gayana Dasa
QueenGayana.jpg

Age: 62

Race: Half Nomasdae Half Kildran

Like all Queens of Roadalia, Gayana was handpicked and groomed by her predecessor, Queen Bernadette Manchu, out of the Holy Knights of Azae. She was a beloved and competent leader for much of her reign until the last decade where she began to show signs of mental instability. Although always a devout follower of the Religion of Azae, like most of Roadalia, at one point she began to enter a state of religious fanaticism. She started to claim she was being shown visions by the Goddess Azae and declared herself a new prophet. She had large walls constructed at the borders of the nation to keep what she deemed "heretics" out. Punishments of torture and public execution were enacted on anyone found not to be in support and practice of her unique vision of the religion of Azae. Her recent actions have earned her the nicknames "The Holy Executioner" and "The Mad Queen" all over Zeldwa.

The Holy Queendom of Roadalia (formerly New Kildra & the Kingdom of Roadalia) is a religious state ruled by women, with successors hand picked and groomed by the current monarch instead of bloodlines like in T'Odis, Indoria, and Kildra. For the past decade it has been under the rule of Queen Gayana Dasa and slowly descending into chaos and turmoil because of her mental instability. It is located in the Northwest corner of Zeldwa with a large castle wall surrounding it's borders and isolating it's populace. It is the fourth oldest nation on Azae. The nation was created in the year 196 when two Kildran noble families, the Roadalias and the Vansons, came together and revolted against the royal family of Kildra over the issue of the Nomasdae people's slavery and caused the first Kildran Civil War. The war concluded with the King of Kildra,, relinquishing land to the nobles and their freed slaves who no longer wanted to be apart of the Kildran system, and allowing them to create their own Kingdom.

It was arranged for Calin Roadalia, the eldest son of the Roadalias, to marry the Vanson's daughter, Varie to create the first Roadalian King and Queen. Upon their death their daughter, Cornelia, became Queen. Queen Cornelia changed the Kingdom to a Queendom and put fourth laws stating all successors would be chosen by the current monarch before their death. Her rule was so successful and beloved that this decree had no opposition from her people. A later Queen's devotion to the Religion of Azae and want for a leader with her values caused a cycle of religious successors that put the nation on a path of religious devotion to this day. Roadalia is the smallest nation by square mile.

Population: 850,000

Races: 25% Kildran, 35% Nomasdae, 25% Kildran-Nomasdae Mix, 10% T'Odis, 4% Parshumian, Less than 1% Other Mixes

Religion(s): Religion of Azae (Deity viewed as female and Goddess only)

Capital: Ashah
Asha.jpg

Culture of Roadalia
(By @Lord Zanicus):

Much of Roadalia's architecture is made up of old cities built by Kildran nobles in the past, with the addition of immense Grand Churches scattered all over the nation since Queen Karen Belltrout's rule. Hymns sung by children choirs could be heard daily from every major city-square, singing praises to their Goddess, under the guidance of their High Priestesses. Those who are devoutly religious shall do well in this society, especially the clerics, which are held in high regards and esteem. Villages, though not officially run by, are under the supervision of local clerics who report and brings taxes to government's officials. Strict actions will be taken against those found breaking a religious law where the convicted will be severely punished. Music, plays, song, books, and stories not about the Goddess Azae (and definitely not questioning her existence or will) are banned and considered to be contraband. Yet, despite of the state's strict law, there is known to be a large underground community of united Non-Believers and religious reformers within Roadalia.

Roadalia has a decently mixed population, but racism can still sometimes be prevalent. Along with abolishing slavery in Roadalia, they also did away with the class system of nobles and peasants altogether. Despite this, a rich and poor class still became apparent, with the Nomasdae people filling out the poor class. The nation has a polar climate all year round, with the exception of the south that borders Libertia and the Swazi rainforest. The locals wear multiple layers of plain and dull dressing as fashion in Roadalia is not only unimportant as they are in Libertia or Kildra, but are also looked down and frowned upon, especially those wearing flashy colours, which is why the country is unpopular among foreigners.

Roadalians tends to welcome outsiders with bitterness. They feel foreigners could thwart the country's well being and give birth to sinners with their influence. The only exception for a warm reception would be towards those in pilgrim. But what attracts the foreigners into Roadalia is its large black market where Alcohol and Pashush can be found even though they have been illegal for decades.

Ruled By: Emperor Varxas T'Odis
Varxas.jpg

Age: 125

Race: T'Odis

Varxas is the elderly emperor of the oldest nation on Azae, The T'Odis Empire. His rule is mostly remembered for relaxing the enforcement of the strict laws in the "Lawful Lands" of T'Odis, the controversial decision to end orphan conscription into the "T'Odis Justice Hordes", and the "T'Odis-Parshum Peace Treaty". All of Varxas' sons were killed in the "T'Odis-Parshum War" as well as Calar Dhumibol Uduliadej's two eldest sons. This allowed the two men to put aside their people's differences and sit down to end the lengthy war. Unlike many in his nation, Varxas is not a follower of his empire's religion, The Devotion to the White. He lost his faith when he lost his sons and now takes pride in his heir and grandson, Varxas T'Odis II. The supercentenarian ruler's health has declined in recent weeks and many within the nation believe that these are his final days.

The T'Odis Empire is an empire ruled by the T'Odis family since it's creation hundreds of years ago. The exact date of it's establishment is unknown due to their non-use of a numbered calendar in the early days, but there are written T'Odis documents that are believed to predate Kildra by nearly two-hundred years. It has been under the rule of the elderly Emperor Varxas T'Odis for nearly fifty years. It is located in the Northern half of Zeldwa, Northeast of Roadalia, directly North from Kildra, passed the Ice Mountains. The country is surrounded by natural border protection with the Great Ice Mountains. The ancient T'Odis built a twenty story gate known as the "T'Odis Gate" in the only break in the mountains where they patrol all traffic in and out of the empire.

The Empire is known for it's long sentences for breaking it's strict laws that were once enforced throughout all of T'Odis until the "Outlaw War" that caused Varxas' ancestor, Emperor Xerx, to split the country between two distinct districts known as the "Lawful Lands" and the "Lawless Lands". Laws are enforced by the "T'Odis Justice Hordes" groups of nine, well skilled swordsmen. If someone breaks a law in the Lawful Lands and evades capture it is up to these groups to bring them to justice. When the culprit is found he has two options: Allow himself/herself to be brought back peacefully to face trial (and possible decades in a freezing dungeon) or challenge the captain of the Justice Horde to a one-on-one duel to the death. If the combatant wins, they are absolved of all crimes T'Odis holds against them, effectively giving them a fresh start. Successfully defeating a Justice Horde Captain is something that is quite rare, as they are orphans raised and trained for this sole purpose.

Libertia is a Republic run by an elected Council Leader and six other council members elected from the major cities of the country. The free country was founded by the former slave, Indorian in the year 237 after the Second Kildran Civil War otherwise known as the "Slave Revolution". The nation as been run since it's inception by two bickering political parties, currently The Soovs and The Defenders. The Soovs campaign for open borders and a focus on trade and open-mindedness. The Defenders wish to see those of Kildran descent deported from the country, and a focus put on stronger borders. The nation is currently run by Edward Dweae, elected in the year 364, a man who moderately caters to both sides. Much of the nation is still covered in dense rain forests with grand old cities built directly into the trees by ancient Kildran Nobles. Libertia is mecca for arts, sciences, medicine, and alchemy with it's exotic plant and wildlife. Tral-el attacks have died down in recent decades but are still a danger, especially with recent construction.

He is the only son of the recently deceased King Drex Corgoso. He is the youngest leader of the youngest nation on Azae with Indoria only being a few decades old. His rule is aided by his advisor and uncle, Colonel Valick Ana. He is headstrong and moody, but has love, respect, and pride for his people that are unmatched by anyone. He has a proficiency in combat that surpasses even his late father and uncles in their prime, but unlike them, also possesses a high intellect due to the studies his father forced upon him as a child. Much like his father, he holds a deep seeded hatred for his people's former slavers, the Kildrans. Indoria is a Kingdom that was ruled by Drex Corgoso until his death at the age of sixty in the year 358. He was the former General of the Libertian Defense Forces, who joined forces with the Soovs and revolted against the Libertian Council forcing them to give up land in the desert for their Kingdom. The throne was inherited by Drex's sole son, Ergle, at a time when the country is in disarray. There are rumors and whispers in the capital that several of the Generals in the Indorian Royal Army are planning a coup against the crown. Drex himself placed a decree at the nation's birth that anyone who can defeat the current ruler in hand-to-hand combat would place their family on the throne. This act is known as "Tayoma" an ancient Nomasdae word for "Right Challenge". This has only happened once since Ergle has taken to reign, a dangerous and decorated lieutenant by the name of Bayou Portsman. Ergle broke Bayou's neck in mere moments of the first round to a standing ovation in the "Aemon Arena" in the capital. It is now suspected that any further attempts of dethroning him will be under more nefarious means. The nation is located directly South of Kildra and East of Libertia in the deserts of Zeldwa. The country was poor and struggling until recently, but many have learned to make a living either selling their swords as mercenaries to other's outside of the borders to hunting down the dreaded "Tral-el" for their meat and skins. Tral-el are ancient lizard- beasts that roam both the deserts and rain-forests of Zeldwa. It is believed by scholars that some of the more massive ones are over hundreds of years old. Many scholars in the country have taken to excavating and studying their ancient ancestors ruins to try to understand more of their lost culture.

He is the Calar of the island fishing nation of Parshum, the second oldest nation of Azae, and has been since the incredibly young age of sixteen years old. Dhumibol made his pilgrimage across the "Dark Seas" like all potential Calars at thirteen being the youngest to ever attempt the journey. He arrived back home to celebration at the age of sixteen and christened the date to be a holiday. He has been considered a just but fair ruler for all his reign. A devout follower of the Parshumian Sea God Vavos, Dhumibol continued to travel the seas to fish and hunt the ferocious sea serpents that the followers of Vavos consider to be the God's children. His skill in diplomacy allowed him to break peace with the T'Odis Empire in his late forties, something none of his predecessors were able to accomplish. He holds a disdain for the Common Words and chooses to only speak old Parshumese, much to the annoyance of his thirteen children, "The Uduliadej Thirteen". Dhumibol is the first Calar to break the tradition of multiple wives, taking only one bride to father all of his children.

It is ruled by a Calar, or "Life Long Leader" in Parshumese; a title that proves one has conquered the "Dark Seas" and is thus fit to rule the people. Calar Dhumibol finished his Dark Sea pilgrimage in the year 312. The Parshumese have their own calendar, believing the year to be 1475, stating it took the Sea God Vavos 1,000 years to create Azae, then produce Parshum, and then Zeldwa. The nation has consistently been able to sustain itself by being able to slay and fish the ferocious sea serpent beasts of the ocean earning them the title, "The Fishing Nation Parshum". The Parshumians share a penchant for festivals and tournaments with the Nomasdae, being known as an "Island of Lights". The nation has been on a rise since ending the "T'Odis-Parshum War." and opening their ports to all nations who have gained sea travel ability. Azae

A World At War

On the planet of Azae, a quiet peace has reigned over the beautiful, colossal continent of Zeldwa for just a few short years. Zeldwa, which covers over half of the planet's surface and is home to the vast majority of the planet's population, is split into five nations:

Kildra, the third oldest and one of the largest of the nations, spans over the entire North West corner of Zeldwa. Once, most of Zeldwa was under Kildran rule, until the infamous First Kildran Civil War, where two noble families took a stand against the slave-trade and the current monarchy, splitting the nation in half and creating the Queendom of Roadalia.

Kildra didn't have to wait long for their Second Kildran Civil war in which the people who were born into slavery finally revolted against their oppressors after a hundred of years of extreme labor and abuse. The war, which remained even in it's entirety, lasted a little over a decade and resulted in the then Kildran King, Gillian II, to split Kildra in half again and relinquish the Southern half over to the newly freed slaves. The slaves set up a new nation under a semi-democratic government called, Libertia. Slavery was finally abolished throughout Zeldwa.

Libertia didn't last longer than a hundred years until the nation was split between two political parties, the Lindors and the Soovs. The Lindors were still hateful and bitter over their slavery, and demanded that the nation practice a mindset of closed borders. The Soovs had more of a 'forgive and forget' mentality and wanted to start their live anew. When the soon to be famous Soov, Zelsi Wintso, was elected as the new leader of the council many Lindor leaders were enraged. It wasn't long until Libertia was in a state of civil war itself. Kildra, still bitter over Libertia's secession, resolved to remain neutral throughout the conflict as did Roadalia. After just a few years of bloodshed in the streets of Libertia, Zelsi and the council decided to make the same decision King Gillian II had made years before them. They agreed to split Libertia between East and West. The Lindors and their followers took the Western half, South of Kildra and created the militaristic nation of Indoria.

Indorians still craved retribution against Kildra, and now have a booming economy, plus a strong, dedicated, and well-trained army.

Not much is currently known about Roadalia since their construction of large walls around their border, other than it must still be run by the mad Queen Gayana.

The T'Odis Empire and The Fishing Nation of Parshum have finally ended their decades long war that started over a single conflict. The youngest members of each ruling family have married each other as a sign of peace. But not all is well behind closed doors.

A fragile peace remained between these six nations for just a few years...

Until...

Engriact.png

Annihilation, Ragnarok, The Apocalypse, Destroyer of Planets, Consumer of Souls, and Bringer of Destruction. Engriact has been known by many names to the people of many planets before he terminated them. An advanced being, consciousness, or entity that travels the cosmos; feeding on the force or energy that breaths life into a planet and it's inhabitants. Some advanced civilizations knew of it's coming beforehand, but were powerless to stop it. Most did not have a clue until the very end.

The Heralds of Death are four immortal beings who serve Engriact, and three of which travel to the planets beforehand to prepare them for it's arrival. When the majority of creatures on a planet die within a close proximity, the planet fills with their life-force (some view this as their souls). This is the only time when Engriact can feed on the planet. It is the Heralds' job to enure that in some way, shape, or form this happens.

Shala is drawn to the remnants of war on Azae. Her love of manipulating lesser beings draws her to the idea of sparking a full-scale war all over Zeldwa using her telepathy and shape-shifting abilities that her race once possessed . She decides to visit the leaders of each nation...

Garnerge has always had an insatiable blood-lust, belonging to a race of monstrous, warring behemoths. His only wants are to end life with his bare hands, and to taste the flesh of those who fear him. He accomplishes this by retaining his incredible size and strength while destroying and consuming anything in his path.

Cornelius was a genius weapon inventor from a planet lost to Engriact centuries ago. Building a weapon that was actually able to damage the celestial being, Engriact granted him the curse of immortal life and servitude becoming a Herald of Death. Cornelius retains his knowledge in weaponry and uses it help nations advance to a quick holocaust.

Ezra, or The Voice of Engriact, never leaves his master's side. Being the oldest and most enigmatic of the Heralds, he is rarely seen by the other three. Ezra is the only Herald capable of comprehending Engriact's will.

(Description by Spacing Out Spacing Out & noremac noremac )

Originating from a forgotten planet, Shala the Manipulator harbored neither pity nor mercy for those she marked as treasonous or inferior. Last of her species, she possesses the ability to read minds and shape shift into any living thing she has touched. However vast the monstrosities hidden within her mind, Shala is not bold in deception. Integrating into the societies of her prey planets, the Manipulator weaves culture as she sees fit. Her tactic is to lay bait with the most beautiful and wonderful things in the galaxy, leading victims blindly to insane bloodshed. The Manipulator has made cultural annihilation a way of life. Shala enjoys competing in death tolls with Cornelius.

(Description by Spacing Out Spacing Out )

Garnerge originated from a planet of behemoth, warring cannibalistic beast-men. He was one of the most feared warriors on his planet and was nearly indestructible before becoming immortal. Though he has no memory of who or what he is, he retains his immense size, strength, and blood-lust. One notable thing about this monster is his preference of using his bare hands as a weapon in battle. Destroying a previous Herald by ripping him apart with his bare hands when Engriact came to Garnerge's world., this made Engriact replace him with Garnerge. A common custom that he still follows is the tradition of cooking and devouring his victims after every battle. He is amused and excited by the site of blood and death while also amused by those who are combat oriented, as he enjoys a good fight. He isn't very smart, only focusing on his intent to murder causing mistakes and brief moments of vulnerability during fights.

Cornelius
"the Genius"

steampunk_hunter_by_jubjubjedi-d5qlot4.jpg

Even amongst his own ranks, Cornelius is an enigma. Very little is truly known about him except for his genius and ruthlessness. Prior to becoming a herald to Engriact, Cornelius hailed from a world submerged in perpetual war and turmoil. He used these circumstances for profit, supplying opposing parties with his advanced technology and their counter measures until there was either a victor, or all belligerents laid in waste. When his world went under siege by Engriact, Cornelius forged a powerful weapon, damaging Engriact, changing the tide of the invasion. Unfortunately, the weapon was lost. Attracted to The Engineers ingenuity, Engriact converted Cornelius into one of his Heralds, and devoured his world. Cornelius is a skilled marksman on the field of combat. Using a rifle of his own creation, he is able to hit targets from several hundred meters out, but his tongue is by far his most efficient weapon. With his cold and analytical disposition, along with his blatant lack of regard for life, Cornelius is able to peddle his technology to the desperate and the power hungry, allowing entire worlds to burn themselves out in preparation of his master. This is often to the annoyance and mild chagrin of Shala, who often engages him in contests of carnage.

  2. The God/Goddess worshiped by certain people of the world. Said to be the spirit and life-force of the planet itself.
