'Ello peeps.
Alright. Character sheet. I'll set a skeleton for you all. Make my own and 3 standard default ships with a few perks, although a ship of your own might as well be good. (remember. The more ships the more likelihood of you meeting.. And if you are both after the crown.. Well it did say lord.. So singular.)
Character Skeleton sheet:
Name:
Race: (Mostly human.. But a pm if you want something different. I'm open for ideas. Although it isn't orcs and such.. Stick to pirate themed creatures.
Age: (Anything 16+ (Side note.. Captains are usually older.. Younger captains can have.. Problems with crew. But a possibility nonetheless.)
Are you in a faction, if so which and why?:
Occupation: (Can be former/current.)
life goal:
Personality:
Appearance: (picture and/or text. Anything allowed within the rules and world. No space pirates sorry.)
Appearance notes: (if you use a picture. Weapons and other things not included; Otherwise leave blank.)
Advantages: (What are you good at lad/laddie?)
Disadvantages: (What are you bad at? The ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 for crippling: Crippling disadvantage is a lost major body part for an example an arm.)
Do you believe in the tales of the seas?:
Other: (Anything you want to add?)
_____________________________________________________________________________
Ship Skeleton:
(Use this if you're an captain or becoming one.)
Name:
1* What type/class ship?: Refer to overview for the default types:
Cannons: (Current/max.)
Crew: (Current/Max.)
speed: (Minimum/maximum.)
Agility: (Worst, bad, middle, good, very good, best.)
Capacity: (Usually around the same as the default: Say about max 30 more than default. Less is only 10: Can't lower it too much before the ship itself needs to be smaller.)
2* Perks: (you can only have one ship perk. Premade gets two, because they are premade.)
_____________________________________________________________________________
1 Pm if you got a personal idea. (Although don't try anything crazy.) Any ship from the the Golden age of piracy. (From 1650 and upwards, to around 1670.) So go scouting if the ships from the overview are not your type.
{{Remember people. The more cannons, crew, cargo and that.. The less agility it has. Since it needs to be bigger.)
2 Perks can vary a lot. You might have a retainer crew member that teaches your other men how to better handle cannons and thefore being able to fire just a tad bit faster. Or perhaps your crew are accostumed to less rations and therefore consume less. ETC.. Pm if questions about it.
And yes in the start your ship can only have 1 perk. Later on you might get more.
I'll be the one to oversee that.
Premade ships.
Name: The Marygold.
1* What type/class ship?: Galleon
Cannons: (Current/max.) 44/44
Crew: (Current/Max.) 200/225
speed: (Minimum/maximum.) 6 / 14
Agility: Bad.
Capacity: 165T
(Usually around the same as the default: Say about max 30 more than default. Less is only 10: Can't lower it too much before the ship itself needs to be smaller.)
2* Perks: ((you can only have one ship perk. Premade gets two but are less fancy for people.))
The finest cannons on deck. (Hard to destroy cannons, worth more than normal cannons if sold.)
A gem among dirt. (The Marygold is a respectable ship, and factions pay more attention to it's owner.)
short Background for this premade ship:
The Marygold is a venerated ship from the early days of 1650 Since then it has changed flag and crew many times. Now it lies with a new captain in Santo Domingo, will this venerated warship sail it's last journey? Or will it it finalize it's history in the books with burning letters as the greatest galleon? Only time will tell of this ship.
Name: Spirit Chaser.
1* What type/class ship?: Brig
Cannons: (Current/max.) 18/18 (+2)
Crew: (Current/Max.) 86/100
speed: (Minimum/maximum.) 7 / 17
Agility: best.
Capacity: 70T
2* Perks: Swivel guns. (Two extra smaller cannons for anti-personal usage or strategic strikes.)
Blessed by the winds. (The ship is faster at moving and turning than other ships.)
Small background of this premade ship:
The spirit Chaser is truly a ship of speed. The spirit Chaser is a well known privateering ship, although as newer ships with more cargo was made the crew turned neutral and docked themselves in Santa Clara, where they do occasional hunt for neutral merchant ships. A incident left their old captain dying and he has since then chosen a young upstart as his heir of the ship, for the better or worse of the rest of the crew. Will you live up to the Spirit Chasers name and become the deadly wind of fire and smoke? Or will you falter as the mightier ships crushes yours? Only you can tell this story.
Name: The Red Dragoon.
1* What type/class ship?: light Frigate
Cannons: (Current/max.) 24/24
Crew: (Current/Max.) 150/160
speed: 9-12
Agility: Middle
Capacity: 100
2* Perks: A burning bomb: Crewmembers have learned much of handling fires and have installed 2 motars to fire carcass shells at enemies.
Hushed voices: The crew holds many superstitious items.. From voodoo dolls to skulls. Giving the ship an odd aura which makes other crewmembers fearful.
Short background of this ship: The Red Dragoon is.. A mysterious ship, the interior decorated with mystical objects and markings of lost civilisations. It's crew that were alive before a new captain remains silent about what the markings means. But in the end the Red Dragoon lives up to it's name. Firing incendiary shells high into the sky and down upon their foes. A critical attack against both ship and crew. But no matter what.. Every night leaves the feeling of being watched.

My guy.
Name: Samuel "Killeye" Jacques.
Age: 33
Are you in a faction, if so which and why?: Pirate fleet. He seeks to become one of the greatest pirate lords of the Caribbean sea, perhaps taking the throne as pirate king one day and leading it against the French West Indian Company.
Occupation: Former, privateer crewmember as a boarder and cannon loader. Currently Captain of the Black crown.
life goal: To become pirate king, defeat the French West Indian Company and find the Caribbean crown.
Personality: Samuel is a peaceful yet stern. He commands his crew with a iron fist and a golden smile. He prefer to take action in his own hands and join his crew in boarding other ships, which is also his main strategy. But Samuel is not without mercy, he loves to haggle with people even if he is cheating a bit. But in the end Samuel has a strong passion for his goals, going quite far to make them real.
Appearance:
Appearance notes: Samuel carries twin flintlock pistols and a fine cutlass fit for a captain. Although not often seen, Samuel does have a few knives if things ever go south for him. When not boarding he usually walks around with a rifle, with extras on some of his crew. "No time to reload."
Advantages: He doesn't have the nickname Killeye for nothing. Samuel is an incredible marksman and can see further than the average captain. While not that good at fighting with hand to hand combat, Samuel is quite a trickster and will use just about anything around him as a weapon or shield.. Even crewmembers. He is skilled acrobat though from his experience with climbing around the railings of ships and swinging himself back and forth, making him quite nimble.
Disadvantages: As said, he isn't the best swordsman around, just beating the veteran boarder pirate. But anything above that is a total danger for Samuel, Well unless he can play dirty. He is also wearing a eyepatch, hindering his eyesight by 50%
Do you believe in the tales of the seas?: Yes.
Other: Nope.
His ship.

[/media] The Black Crowns perk sea shanty.
Name: The black Crown.
1* What type/class ship?: Large frigate.
Cannons: (Current/max.) 30/30

speed: (Minimum/maximum.) 9 / 12
