I'm an adult, I am fine with any pronouns. I would prefer to RP with another adult. I'm looking for something in between a casual and semi-lit experience; I don't mind occasional one-liners if our characters are in fast-paced dialogue or action scenes, etc., but I would prefer that not to be the norm. A paragraph or two is my usual length, and I can write much, much more when the moment calls for it. Basically... I like to do whatever feels right in the moment, and would prefer my RP partner to match that if you're able!
To be up-front: I am disabled, and struggle with very frequent fatigue and brain fog. If you are not disabled in a similar way, imagine you pulled a particularly exhausting all-nighter and then took a Benadryl. While you have the flu. This is how I feel on a semi-regular basis. You can imagine reading and writing is pretty difficult for me because of this, but unfortunately my brain refuses to give up on creating tons of OCs and plots, so I enjoy a good RP every now and then. Due to the whole disability thing, however, my energy is inconsistent, and I may reply multiple times a day or need a long break between posts. I try to communicate well and will do my best to let you know if I'm feeling bad and need to rest. However, if this inconsistency bothers you, I understand, and would recommend you look elsewhere.
I don't mind RPing via DMs or a forum thread. I quite like threads and will happily do either. I do not enjoy RPing over discord but I'm happy to chat OOC with you there! Once we've gotten some contact established here on RPnation, ask me for discord info and we can talk there if that's easiest for you!

Settings:
+ classic medieval fantasy; I've always loved castles and dragons and magic and adventures. I'll also happily accept twists on this setting, I enjoy messing with tropes and cliches.
+ ancient Nordic-inspired fantasy; I'm a huge nerd for studying ancient Norse stuff right now, and though I'm not interested in a flat out historical RP, I'd love to incorporate inspiration from it.
+ dark fantasy/horror; I wouldn't mind something a little on the "edgy" side. I LOVE horror. Gothic fantasy horror is right up my alley and I'm utterly obsessed with that vibe.
Characters I enjoy playing:
+ vampires
+ demons
+ elves
+ ancient (whether they act it or not)
+ characters descended from dragons/part dragons
+ very nature-connected beings
+ agile, stealthy types
+ mages
+ inhuman, magical beings in general
+ I will play ANY gender
Romance/pairing types I like:
+ soldier/bodyguard x their charge
+ fantasy race x initially distrustful human
+ forbidden romance (as long as it isn't contrived or too cheesy)
+ quiet/cynical x bubbly/kind
+ confident flirt x stoic/closed off
+ slow-ish burn
+ enemies to lovers (under certain circumstances)
+ m/m, f/f, nb/any
+ plenty of others I can't even remember right now - just ask and let's get some ideas flowing!

Settings:
- zombie/general apocalypse. I'd be happy to try this out someday; I'm very much not in the mood right now.
- futuristic/sci-fi.
- modern fantasy. I will be open to doing this sometime in the future - there's a lot of cool stuff that could be done with it, but I am not currently in the mood for it at all.
Characters I don't enjoy:
- purely animal. I like shifters, I like tons of animalistic characteristics, but I do not enjoy cat/dog/purely furry/whatever RPs.
- constantly angry characters/jerks that never undergo development.
- overly powerful characters with little to no weakness.
Romance/pairing types I dislike:
- toxic/abusive
- too strongly sexually charged
- unrequited love (if it's meant to stay unrequited forever)
- love at first sight/destined together by fate
- if the slow burn is so slow it ends up outlasting the heat death of the universe
- m/f (I spent way too long pretending to be straight, very tired of straight romance at the moment, sorry)
