Im new to the rp thing but ive had a little fun in the past one on one with an old friend. id like to get started again into something fantasy like. i have an old paladin/gunslinger type character in mind id like to use, if theres any current RPs like that thats recruiting let me know.
 
I have a game that's getting ready to start, but its a sci-fi Robotech game. If you are not familiar with the Palladium system, I am willing to work with you to get you through the game. The story is the most important part of the game for me. I have already made up some rough draft characters, so if you need help with that, its not a problem.
 
Sounds interesting, whats it about? and no im not farmilliar with the pallidium system.


btw love the signature, got a good laugh from it.
 
Ok, the quickie version.


In the late 1990's, a giant alien spacecraft crash lands on Earth. Its crew is a race of giants that average 50 to 60 feet tall, and the ship in its damaged condition is powerful enough to take on the combined Earth military forces and win. The crew all die in the crash, leaving us to rebuild the ship and learn about the wonderous new technology contained inside. Over the next ten years, the ship is rebuilt and called the SDF-1, and is the symbol of the united Earth military forces. The aliens that the ship was on the run from are called the Zentradi. They are the 60ft tall warriors that were the crew, and they want the ship back. This starts the first Robotech War, and over the next few years, we manage to recruit some of the Zentradi to our side, and in a drastic move, the main Zentradi fleet of nearly 5 million ships shows up to wipe out all life on Earth and to cleanse the 'contaminated' Zentradi. The planet is devistated, but we manage to win the fight and find out from the loyal Zentradi that they were made by another race of aliens called the Robotech Masters. The Earth military decides to send an armed expidition to the Master's homeworld to ask for peace between our two peoples at the end of a blaster, and hilarity insues.


The game takes place during the trip out to the Master's homeworld, dealing with rouge Zentradi ships on the way before you come in contact with the Masters and a new alien race that they are at war with, the Invid. It is a war story, so there is a heavy military theme to the story.
 
so its essentially all tech based, warships, future based weaponry? im looking for something im able to use my old character in, abilities and all that. what kind of charaters form your group?

I have a new fantasy coming up within the next few days that will fit perfectly your paladin/character you mentioned some where else on the site.
 
If you look in the 'interest check for a Robotech game' thread on page two, there are three rough draft characters hidden in spoiler tags. Two are veritech pilots (basically transformable jet fighters) and the third is a Military Specialist that can also pilot one of the tranforming fighters.

doesnt sound like something id be too interested in. im not big on realistic or robotics in terms of games. but ty for all he info and showing interest
 
No problem. Just trying to help hook up a fellow gamer. Keep looking; there is almost always a game recruiting around here.

Right sorry, I just have my mind in so many places right now. The information might overwhelm you and I don't want to repeat my self for everyone so, if you could just wait till our game's thread is up then you will get to read it :) !

A day or two at most, the game is nearing completion and will be ready to be submitted soon under RP Submission.
 
I have a few RP's up as well, one's a forum that just got approved and is just about to get underway and the other's still in the works with a custom system, they're both pretty unique, and can both be found in the RP submissions thread. You should take a look! ("Taaaaaaaank!!!" and "Gauss!", if you're interested)


Shameless advertisement done, I feel guilty already. Look at other people's stuff too, it's probably better :D
