Smoppet
Magic Eight Ball
I have such a hard time finding partners, mostly because I work with characters that are very specific to a different country and time period. That is 1950s-60s Soviet Russia. And because I live in America most of my friends have no experience with that.
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ OH WELL. That's what I'm making this thread for--in the hopes that I can find at least one person who has experience with organized crime, specifically Russian.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not actually Russian nor do I speak the language.
Stuff
1. Please have some knowledge of the country, time period, and how the Russian mafia works. (If you're really interested but don't know a whole lot, send me a PM and I can link you to some resources).
2. The Russian mob is pretty much my thing, so I like to use (or at least mention) all of my characters in the RP. So it may benefit you to have more than one character.
3. Please make time to post! I know we all have lives outside of the internet, but if you don't think you'll be able to dedicate yourself to responding at least once or twice a week, I'd rather not RP with you.
4. Drama/tragedy/action please.
5. Spelling and grammar. I won't RP with people who constantly make spelling and grammatical errors. Spell-check can only help you so much. Please be familiar with how the English language works. That being said, you don't have to be some master of writing.
6. Post length. I think it really depends on what's going on. I like a lot of interaction and dialog, so my posts don't necessarily get incredibly long. I'd say at least a paragraph.
Examples
Here are just some snippets from RPs I've had that'll hopefully help you get a feel for me.

Despite his attitude toward Grigorij, the man was right. Jason had too much of a headache to go trying to fill his empty void. He couldn't tell if he was sad or angry. He told Sacha a lot. Sacha was his right-hand man. He confided almost everything in him. And now he was gone.
They pulled up into the driveway of his mansion. He stepped out the car and inhaled.
"Cannibal, you can go home if you want. I'm not doing anything else
for today..."
Grigorij was happy that Master was going to take it easy, but he knew the man could be reckless and this was a vulnerable time. He decided to stay on the premises.
"I can do it!"
Marat eyed him. "You absolutely can't. Have you been bashed on the head?"
"Why not? I work really hard. I rake in the most money. I'm completely suitable for this position!"
"Czar," he hissed," Master will not entrust his deepest thoughts into a man with only one eye."
He scowled. What more did he need to do to get a higher position? When would he finally be like Marat? He had power, yes. Being a brigadier in charge of the Bratva was a very decent position. But he wanted to be like Master.
"Get out of here," Marat sternly commanded. "Your ambitions are selfish and impure. You're lucky--I'll forget we had this conversation rather than killing you for being so foolish."
In terror, Jason’s mouth fell agape and his eyes widened. "Dahlia...!" he said with a gasp.
"Oh," Venus said, smiling and turning to wave at her, "there she is!"
Jason’s face turned a deep red. "You shut your f****** mouth!" he yelled at Dahlia.
"Aw, Jason," Venus said, "is that any way to speak to a lady? She says she loves you! Don't you love her back?"
Jason hesitated. "She doesn't love me! She's crazy! She knows my heart belongs to you, Venus! Only you!"
