Lurker
Hey there, folks! Thanks for taking a look at this here thread. I created this account a while or go, but haven't gotten around to using it. With the holidays over, and more free time on my hands, I want to start some 1X1s. So here's a bit about me and what I'm looking for in a partner:
-Grammar and literacy. Mistakes happen, but I'd like for you to try your best.
- I reply anywhere from two to five paragraphs. Just depends on the post. If I'm given more to work with, then I'll usually give more back.
-As far as activity goes, I'd like a response at least every other day. Real life always comes first. If you're going to be away for a while, I'd just like to know. More than that would be awesome!
-Communication is awesome! Got an idea? Want to go in a certain direction with the roleplay? Let me know. I want us to bounce ideas off of each other.
-I like romance in my roleplays. I'll do MxF or MxM, and I usually play male characters.
-I believe that characters really drive a roleplay. A good story naturally comes out of well-written characters. So...show me all your lovely, oddball characters!
I'm open to any ideas you might have, but here are a few of my own. C1 is generally the character I'd prefer to play:
The Undercity:
The year is 2250. Humans have developed faster than light travel, and colonization of distant worlds has become a common practice. A surplus of new resources has allowed some to make a fortune. As Earth builds up for the wealthy, the less fortunate are left to live a life of poverty in the ruins of the old buildings and skyscrapers from the 21st century. Most turn to gangs to make a living, either becoming mercenaries or getting involved in drug trafficking. Cops turn a blind eye to this activity in these ruins, called the Undercity, as long as it stays there.
C1 is part of a gang, the 505 Crew, and has an elaborate plot to make enough money to move out of the Undercity. It involves kidnapping C2, the child of the wealthiest businessman on Earth, and demanding ransom. However, the plan doesn't exactly doesn't unfold as C1 expects. Not only is C1 developing feelings for C2, C2's father is doing everything in his power to find and kill whoever kidnapped his child.
In the Land of Savages:
Aspyr is known as the eye of the world. Wealth and power is flaunted in the nation's capital of Andol. Throughout the last hundred years, the current line of Emperors have conquered half of the known world. The army is often described as indestructible, unstoppable, and unyielding. Yet a rival country, Rogalos, wages war against Asyper, and is threatening the nation's power.
To turn the war, Aspyr has set its eyes upon the Northlands: wild, untamed, and cold areas not settled by 'civilized' folk. Yet is also home to obsidian, a black metal that's practically indestructible, while still able to be forged into sharp, deadly weapons and protective armor. The natives have been nicknamed 'wolfkin', since they dress in furs of wolves, and ride giant ones as mounts. They're also werewolves, a fact not yet discovered by the soldiers of Aspyr.
Aspyr has decided to invade the Northlands, determined to crush any resistance the natives might offer for the new metal. C2 has sailed to the Northlands with a regiment of Aspyr's army. C1 is the Beta of his clan/pack, and child of the Chieftain and Alpha. The two are pitted against each other as war looms over their different factions, yet are brought together by a chance of fate.
Lone Wolves’ Winter:
It's been ten years since the 'end days' happened. The virus started to spread, and countries went to war over supplies, blaming each other, and straight out power struggles. As nuclear warfare destroyed nations, the outbreak of the virus turned into a pandemic. Soon, civilization all but ended. Time was sent back into a second Dark Ages, yet this time, it was worse. Winters are longer and harsher. A simple disease that was easily treated by antibiotics before can now wipe out a whole group.
Most that survived currently live in Quarantine Zones, which are ruled by tyrannical governments. Outside in the wild, there are no rules. It comes down to survival of the fittest. Groups of bandits ambush other survivors, killing them for supplies. Those that roam alone are known as lone wolves.
C1 and C2 are characters that are captured by a group of bandits, and this is how they meet. While being held prisoners, they hear a rumor about a cure, a vaccine, that’s being developed on the other side of the country. So they decide to help each other escape, and journey to find this cure. In the harsh winter.
And, here's some fandoms I'm into. I prefer to play as original characters set in the universe:
Games:
-Mass Effect
-Dragon Age
-World of Warcraft (Mostly done Horde-side rp. I love my orcs.)
-Elder Scrolls (Mostly I've played Oblivion and Skyrim.)
-Halo
-Devil May Cry
-The Last of Us
Books/TV:
-Walking Dead
-A Song of Ice and Fire (Seen all of the TV show, and currently reading A Dance of Dragons.)
-Vikings
-I wonder if anyone else has read Mari Mancusi's Blood Coven series...
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Seen all of the show. Sadly, haven't read any of the comics. And I've only seen the first few seasons of Angel.)
Want to roleplay with me? Just send me a PM. I prefer to roleplay there, since it’s generally easier for me to keep up with.
