Multiple Settings Looking for Original RPs

Hi everyone! I'm returning to this site after a long time away - I RPed briefly on here a few years back and have been getting the urge to try it again. Please take a look through the tabs to see what I'm like as an RP partner, what I'm looking for, and a wordbank and some character dynamic ideas. If you're interested then shoot me a DM and include some info about the sort of RP you'd like to do.

    • I'm in my mid-20s. I'd like to RP with people aged 18+.
    • Since it's been a while since I last RPed, I'm expecting to be pretty rusty! I'm familiar with how RPing works for the most part so there shouldn't be any worries there, but I feel the need to mention it in case my writing quality isn't exemplary - I know there are some phenomenal writers on here which intimidates me a bit haha.
    • Generally I should be able to reply every few days, but it could be quicker or slower than that. I'm also ghost-friendly - if you don't reply for a while and don't say anything I'll just assume you lost interest; no hard feelings.
    • I have no strong preference for post length. My replies won't be very short but they won't be excessively long either, so if you're looking for one of those extremes I might disappoint you. In general, I don't care much about post length and don't want to worry about meeting a quota while writing; I prioritize getting all the information I want to convey in the post whether that results in a single paragraph or a whole lot of them.
    • I like to plot and plan things out OOC. It doesn't have to be in crazy detail or anything, but I'm not great at improvising and will tend to worry that I'm taking the story in a direction my partner might not want, so communication is ideal! I like having a general idea of what we want from each scene and the overall direction of the RP.
    • Related to that last point, I'm kind of interested in trying a shorter RP - one where we have an ending in mind from the get-go and can actually finish it. This isn't necessary at all and I'm perfectly fine doing a standard longer RP that doesn't finish, but if this is something you're interested in then let me know!
    • For romance - I'm fine with it, but do tell me if you're interested in doing a non-romantic RP! I have no problem with romance; it's just that I often enjoy playing characters who are in some way unlikable, pathetic, or straight up horrible people, and when I'm creating a character for a romance RP I have to ensure the character has at least some appeal as a love interest lmao. Platonic dynamics let me go a bit crazier with character concepts. But again, I'm totally fine with romance if that's what you want! In those cases, I can do MxM, FxF, and MxF (me playing the guy).
    • I like exploring darker themes and complicated character dynamics (though I still enjoy light-hearted tones and moments of levity even in darker stories). I should say though that I DON'T enjoy the whole 'evil character x helpless victim' dom/sub thing - I know some people love it but it's not my thing so I'm mentioning it here. I don't mind playing against characters who characterized as shy/passive/weak though, it's more about wanting both of our characters to be active participants in the story instead of one leading all the action (if that makes sense).
    • I like to play multiple characters. I don't mind having multiple MCs doubling-style, and I'm also happy to have one MC and a few supporting characters to flesh out the world a bit more.
    • I strongly prefer original RPs because I have weird media taste and am unfamiliar with basically every fandom I see on here lmao. That said, if there's a setting or story concept from an existing work that you like and that I can learn about easily, I'm happy to give it a shot.
    • Finally, here's a killer - I don't like using real person faceclaims, sorry! I don't mind if you use them, but in those cases I prefer to just give a written description of my character's appearance. I also like using illustrated or anime-style faceclaims (full disclosure I'm a weeb).
