Hello! I’m Ngọc/Jade. 22 years old (please be 19+ if you wish to write with me). They/Them. Been roleplaying since I was 11. I consider myself a literate roleplayer with the ability to write 400+ up words but I also do script as well. I’m not too strict with character/word count as long as the plot is still moving forward. I love making and developing OCs and wanted to further develop these OCs I have in mind by exposing them to the possibility of friendships, relationships, etc! For these characters, I prefer writing with other OCs since they are mostly fandomless (though I am a comic muser so they both have a lot of comic book influences). Both of the OCs are cismen and don’t mind befriending or becoming romantically involved with any gender! I’m perfectly fine with NSFW and I don’t really have any particular plots in mind and usually discuss and tailor make plots with my partner so nobody feels forced to fit into a certain mould. Feel free to look over my characters’ synopsises and shoot me a reply or a direct message if you would like to come up with something! I may update with more characters as time goes on.
Joey is a 37 year old umbrakinetic necromancer of Welsh-Irish and Tunisian Jewish descent from Liverpool, England. His faceclaim is Oliver Jackson-Cohen, sporting mousy blond hair, olive undertones, turquoise irises, and stands at 191 cm tall to match. Voice slightly gravelly and tinged with a light Scouse accent that may or may not deter other Brits away. The origin of his abilities are not too fantastical in comparison to other entities in his world: See, Joseph comes from a long line of fae blessed sorcerers on his mostly illegitimate father’s side (long story) but is one of the few in the Allatini family that specialises in the dead and various other shadow works. Not like Joseph really had a choice in his specialisation given how spontaneous and chaotic magick is in the hands of man, but he doesn’t complain too much given it’s rather fruitful utility in his life. He is eternally poker-faced, dry witted, and uses his gifts for mostly self/family serving purposes. Despite this, he’s not at all interested in anything too self-absorbed like world domination or leading a cult and actually prefers that his name is kept in the dark. After all, he pretty much hustles to keep him and his elderly disabled mother afloat. The reality he lives in is both modern and heavily interwoven with the beliefs found in SWANA and Asian esoteric mysticism with some European folklore sprinkled in. Non-human creatures have just really begun integrating themselves more in many human civilisations and affairs but many choose to stick to the supernatural plane given how violent humans can be to those unlike them. Because of the nature of his work and experience with other humans, Joseph is a bit skeptical of others’ intentions and seems to be uninterested in romantic affairs but once all the obstacles have been pushed to the side, he’s quite the ally to have on your team. While I do imagine his story being set in more contemporary times, I can totally see Joey in an 80s setting as well if my partner wants to do something more “historical”. And since he’s a freelancer with no actual office (matter of fact, his mom lends him an attic flat she owns because the economy’s that rubbish), the plot doesn’t have to be contained in Liverpool or even Europe at all! I wouldn’t be surprised if he travels often if a paying client were to request him to do so. His story does have a long list of dark themes so do let me know if you have any triggers or topics you would like to keep at bay if you wish to proceed with this character.
Kash is a Czech American electrician from Houston, Texas but got called over not too long ago to the West Village in NYC to take over a family townhouse right after his father’s shiva. He’s 31 years of age with a warm complexion, dark brown near black wavy locks, soulful earthy hued eyes, and a height rounding up to 183cm. His faceclaim is Czech musician and actor Jordan Haj (with the real noticeable difference is that Kash is a little blind so he wears thick frames during most of his waking hours) and his voice is airy, soft, and slightly harmonious upon listening ears. I tend to have a serial habit of giving my characters eventful lives so his disposition is quite melancholic and semi-nihilistic as a result. On the flip side, Kašpar can be described as a chatty, expressive individual with a unbeatable character of sincerity to level out his depressive nature. If he had more money back then, university would have been a walk in the park for a natural intellectual like Kash. Born human, he was transformed into a meta-human in his late twenties-early thirties when messing around with his late dad’s electronics. His adopted alias is “The Showrunner”, a superhero (kinda? he just happens to end up doing good things and doesn’t really try to seek out trouble) with the ability to manipulate media and escape into the multiverse via electronic mediums as he so pleases. Well, that’s an overstatement. Kašpar’s powers come with limitations but he’s still figuring out the kinks and what not. The world he lives in has mixed opinions in regards to the existence of meta-humans. Some are officially registered with copyrighted domains and thus pardoned to use their abilities as special public servants (albeit heavily corporatised) while others go in hiding and do their thing under the radar for a plethora of reasons. That being established, Kash would be considered a rogue meta-human and would face legal repercussions for his activities but that’s really because he doesn’t see the point in doing a bunch of tedious paperwork to simply exist. I personally place him in the 90s as the Information Age was just kicking off with the popularisation of the internet and all but I don’t mind writing him in more relevant times to ours. While this particular universe may have entities that were mythologised by humans, unlike Joey’s reality, this earth tends to be more scientific rather than spiritual in their explanations behind meta-humans and how they came to be. Though, since his superpowers is quite literally multidimensional travel, universe rules can be modified to better progress the plot (given this was discussed beforehand).
