Hello All and potential roleplay partners!


Well its quite simple what this 1 on 1 will entail, I am a jurassic park W**** (a name deemed by my bro long ago) and I am looking for someone who is around the same for a 1 on 1 Jurassic Park experience. Below I will detail what the roleplay will be about and ideally who I am looking for, you dont have to match my description perfectly of course and I will take anyone who knows something bout Jurassic Park movies and Books, but the more the better ^^


Story line: Ok so here is what the general make up of this story is going to be. A Bioengineering company (no name yet) has been in the dumps pretty much since forever. So facing bankruptcy they as in the board of directors makes a drastic decision, and that decision is to go to Site B or Isla Sorna to steal dinosaur eggs so that they can exploit these creatures and make enough money to get their company back on the fore front. Knowing that the Costa Rican government would stone wall their request to enter the island, they secretly sent two teams of scientists mixed with trackers and hunters to the island to secure the eggs of the animals and get them safely back to the company which is located in San Jose. However not more then three days after the teams arrived on the island, an emergency distress signal was sent from their base camp, and shortly after that everything went silent. Unable to raise any of the teams on the island the company liaison went to the Costa Rican Guard to assist request in a search and rescue operation, but because they entered the island illegally they were refused and told to accept the responsibility of their actions. Virtually left with no options but to accept that both teams will die if they are not already dead, the company turned to two people, One the son of late Roland Tembo (my character) and another (you can decide what your profession is and your gender this is totally up to you). Their last hope lies with in the hands of these two individuals one of which has been to the island once, and the other who had yet to realize what lay on the island.


General OOC Info: So basically my character and yours will be going to this island, your character has never been their before and will not know what lay on the island, while mine has been their once and almost died there but this is unknown knowledge which will be relayed through the RP. An basically this RP will revolve around these two individuals and their journey to the Island of Isla Sorna. This is the general story and ideally we will make the rest up as we go along a set path that is very much open to ideas.


Who I am looking for: I am looking for someone who is quite knowledgeable about Jurassic Park such as characters, locations, certain parts on the map that I will supply and the ability to describe these locations if they have to. I am looking for one not only knowledgeable about the movies but also the books as well because this will be a mix between both movie and book in any case. I will using many variances from the movie and books in terms of weapons and vehicles which we will use on the island , and even family members from characters from the movies and locations as well. Over all I am looking with someone for a love of Jurassic Park and one who is enthusiastic about making a great spin off roleplay. If you feel this is you then please give me a message either here or in private and we can discuss the details and such of the roleplay.

Heylo! That was super fast, I couldn't even get anyone to go for the idea on my old RP site i used to be on! Ok so is there anything you would like to know or any questions you want answered?
 
Well, my main questions are on the timeline configuration. How are you going to mix the events of the movies and books together by year, along with your own?
 
Well time line wise I am going to make this about give or take 10 years after Jurassic Park III, the Island itself has been left in tact as you know and the Costa Rican Officials have relaxed the Security around the island because of this time frame thus allowing the scientists expedition to slip in unnoticed by boat. I did originally think of making this after the incident in the second movie second book, but the time frames between 2 and 3 did not exactly mix with my story line given my character is the son of Roland Tembo. Pretty much enough time has passed by now that most have forgotten about the San Diego incident. But a lot of the locations from both book and movie will be in this roleplay, such as the Ingen workers camp, the villiage, high point and so on. I am also going to throw in some new locations as well that were not in the movie or books, so I am going to pretty much add onto Isla Sorna like a new movie give or take with some old areas and new areas.
 
Sorry bout my disappearance, school limits the times I can get on. That sounds good timeline wise. Roland's a boss. :D

An I know! I am actually sad that he dies shortly before this RP takes place. I didn't want to do it, but to make my story work well it had to happen.

If I am gonna kill a man who I had the upmost respect for in all of jurassic park believe me ima make sure I do just that! ;)
 
Righto, good show! I thought of two things just now. You might be able to use Biosyn, InGen's rival company, as the one interested in the island, just as an idea. The other thing is that I'm not too sure what kind of character I would be playing. Well, job-wise anyways. I sort of have a personality worked out, but I don't know what kind of jobs would be useful to a company that needs to send two people to an island, and not tell at least one of them what's going on. I don't know if the company would tell Roland Jr., just because he already knows what the island's like. Sort of a "Hey go to Isla Sorna." "Oh, I nearly died there once, all right, tally ho." Sort of business. Better wording could of been found, but I'm sticking to my guns. :I
 
I understand what your going for an I should have been alittle more informal on that respect. To make that make some sense it wasn't easy to convince Roland Jr to even go, however there is something personal on that island for Roland not physically but mentally, it will become more clear in the RP as it progresses but he is not going for the money but something a bit more personal for himself, otherwise he would never return to that island. An my reasoning for them not informing your character is because well, lets be honest who would willingly go to and island like that knowing what faces them? Either way it goes Roland Jr is gonna tell you in the RP because of his mindset he would not let you blindly walk into an island of such danger. An I have been thinking of doing that for the company making it Biosyn, it would actually make a better story line given Dodgeson died their and another reattempt to steal it again. 
Job wise some idea's could be a Mercenary type character such as the ones in JPIII, a tracker, its open to just about any kind of job that requires going onto an island full of dangerous animals heck you could even be a tech geek if you wanted.
 
Biosyn motto: "Steal ALL the things!" Tech would make sense in a sciency way, although sadly I don't know the correct sciences well. >.>


Ha! Just thought of a little backstory thingy. The guy (Guy would probably work best in this scenario) works at le company as some kind of not as major sciency job., although he's a major survival nut with some hunting experience, who has a bunch of vacation time saved up. So, because getting one of your own employees to do stuff is cheaper than hiring someone else, why not kill two birds with one stone and send him? Yes, it's definitely a tropical island, just find a team we sent there, report it in, and enjoy drinks on the beach! Yes, no dangerous Saurians at all.... Huehuehue.
 
Lol! I could actually see that happening.. Biosyn is the stickest fingered company in all JP, deception was what they did best why not say "It will be ok they just got lost in the jungle, we need you because there are howler monkeys and they can be quite violent little beasts so hunting skill is a plus. Go have a good time! Send a post card *secretly after you leave* "That is if you survive long enough to send one"
 
And evil laughs echo through the halls... You know, that's probably why Biosyn's failed so hard through the books and movies. Get guys who actually know what their doing, and tell them what they're supposed to be doing!
 
I think the reason they failed so hard is because of Dodgeson, he was the one who ran the show pretty much and everyone else followed him. They needed people with back bones I think.
 
Indeed. Well, if our chars manage to survive this and make it back, the dudes that sent them out are definitely going to need backbones. xD
 
Ok well im tieing up some loose ends on another RP I am running I will get this up very soon just for an update.
 
Well, I would have jumped at the opportunity to do this role play, but sadly your requirements requires someone who hadn't lost her movies to damage, and had actually read the books. The idea seems like a fantastic one, and I would love to do it. If you are looking for a decent role player that is still a Jurassic Park enthusiast, but hasn't been able to practice in a while, and it adaptable to most anything, I would love to do this. Or if you are looking for just a decent writer to write with on a new idea, I would also enjoy that.
