Realistic or Modern Long Lost Summers

Angel holds her close and rocks her. He rubs her back softly and pulls away a little. “Hey, it’s gonna be okay. I still got some time left.” He murmurs and wipes at her eyes gently, not even realizing maya had come into the room.

She shook her head and watched him. “It’s not enough though. It was meant to be another 60 years and I might get one if I’m lucky.” She whimpered trying to calm herself down. “I love you and I don’t know what I’m gonna do.” She whimpered.

Angel frowns and sighs softly. “I love you too.” He murmurs softly and caresses her cheek, wiping her tears gently. “Right now we just need to relish the time we have together. Enjoy being a family again.”

Val frowned but nodded and looked over sighing heavily seeing maya standing there. “How much of that did you see?” She asked her quietly.

Angel glances over at maya and stands up straighter. He sighs. “Come here.” He murmurs and hugs her gently when she walks over.

Maya heads over to them and hugs angel tightly. “Enough.” She murmurs soflty and frowns.

Val frowned and wiped at her eyes some more just gently reaching over and rubbing Maya’s back in circles.

Angel sighs softly and holds his two girls close. He hated seeing them both so upset and not being able to do anything.

Val frowned some and got up to start on dinner after a little while keeping bailey close to her and chucking him the occasional scrap

Angel goes back into the living room with maya and sits on the couch with her. He keeps her close as they watch tv.

Val got food sorted and once everything was cleaned up from that, made sure Angel got all his right meds at the right time, got Maya tucked up and finally got to go lay down with Angel herself at around 11pm, sitting on the edge of the bed and going over her nightly routine before laying down and curled in closer to him.

Angel holds her close and kisses her cheek. He nuzzles his face in her neck and sighs. “I love you baby.”

Val smiled some and mumbled something inaudible back to him, curling in close to him and turned the lights out falling asleep fairly quickly.

Angel chuckles softly and kisses her shoulder. He holds her close and soon falls aslee.

Val woke up around 5 am frowning a little. She was wide awake already like something had startled her but she wasn’t sure what and she glanced over to find Angel wasn’t in bed with her, rolling over and about to go back to sleep but frowned as she started hearing weird noises.

Angel say in the bathroom, wheezing and holding his chest. He had been like that for a good twenty minutes. His chest felt like it was on fire.

She got up quietly and wandered in there going over and sitting on the floor in front of him while he was sat on the closed toilet seat lid. “What do you need?” She asked him quietly

Angel grips the counter and shakes his head. He couldn’t even talk. He looks at her scared, fighting harder and harder to try and catch his breathe. The room was getting darker, until all his vision really focused on was her.

She frowned some and pulled her phone out her pocket calling 911 and asking for an ambulance. “My husband can’t breathe. No ma’am he really can’t catch a breathe.” She told her and gently helped move angel to sit on the floor, getting him into the recovery position in case of anything. “Stay with me baby. Stay with me.” She coaxed gently.

Angel grips onto the mat by the tub and wheezes more as he tries to breathe. His chest slowly rising and falling until finally nothing.

Val frowned and quickly rolled him into his back and started cpr shaking her head. “No. No you’re not doing this to me angel. Not yet baby. Not yet.” She whimpered shaking a little but she kept going until paramedics arrived and she called that the door was open, letting them come in and stepped to the side while they took over just breaking down into sobs.

Maya woke up from all the commotion and makes her way to their bedroom. She rubs her eyes and frowns a little as she sees the permedics in the bathroom. She rushes over to her mom.

Val quickly pulled her close and guided her to the bed getting her to sit down not saying anything yet, not knowing what to say and just sat with her hugging her tightly until she heard them talking to him and eventually saw them bringing him out on a stretcher and she got up. “Go get your shoes baby.” She told maya quickly.

Maya frowns and nods. She goes back to her room and pulls on her shoes and a jacket. She goes back to Val and watches her. She was scared.

She frowned seeing them load him up and she got in the car with maya following them to the hospital. “He was having a hard time breathing and between me calling an ambulance and then arriving he stopped.” She told her not able to lie to her daughter.

Maya frowns and curls up in the seat. “Is he dead?” She asks softly and looks over at her.
