Ashley yawned as she woke up and looked at herself I'm the mirror. She cringed and then went to shower as she listened to music. When she came back to her room she got dressed for the day and then logged into Skype on her computer. She looked for Zachs name and smiled. She meet him on skype and they began to talk on a daily basis.


Hey (:





She sent and then plugged in her phone and played her country music. She began to fix her hair and awaited a reply. There was something about Zach that made her smile.

Zach got on Skype, looking for Ashley's name, and found it.


Hey, what's up? (:


He turned up the boom box, listening to Jack White. He then got onto the couch and turned on the tv, to Gilligan's Island. He then laid down and played on his computer, waiting for a response. He loved talking to her, even they never video-chatted on Skype.

Ashley smiled when she heard the ding and immediately went over to the computer.


Nothing really. Getting ready for helllll. Haha.





She replied and then continued to do her hair and then began to sing along to Luke Bryan. She honestly couldn't ever see herself video chatting with Zach yet. She didn't consider herself pretty.

Zach stopped playing, when he heard the ding.


Work? Wow.


Zach thought about video-chatting her after she responded, and realized he should do that. He got out his ukulele and started playing it, waiting for the response.

Ashley looked over at the screen and laughed as she read the message but then when it rang to video chat, she panicked. She looked from left to right unsure of what to do. She just decided to accept.


She was sitting with a wand in her hair as she curled her hair.


"Hey.... Sorry if I look a little ugly. The mornings are always difficult." She said and laughed then released the one curl she was holding.

Zach had his ukulele in his hand when she picked up. "Hey, what are you talking about?" He asked her. This was the first time he saw her, and she was the prettiest person he ever saw. "So, how's Texas? As hot as you?" He asked her.


Zach started playing his ukulele and singing a Fallout Boy song. FallOut Boy wasn't his favorite band, but was good.

Ashley laughed at what Zach said. "Ha. I'm not that hot but Texas is very hot. It's going to hit 110 today." She said as she continued to curl her hair then smiled at the song he was playing.


"So how's Canada? Cold I'm assuming?" She said and smiled softly. Zach was the handsomest person she laid her eyes on. Nobody in Texas looked like that.

"Colder than California or Texas," he told her. He finished the song and put down his ukulele.


"I might be on T.V. today," he told her. "My band is playing on Guitar Center Sessions." No Canadian girls were this nice.

Ashley smiled as she continued to curl her hair then accidentally burned her finger but didn't show it.


"Maybe I can live stream the channel from my computer. Id love to see your band play."


She then yawned as she looked at her hair, satisfied. "Is it good? Does it look okay?" She asked him wanting his opinion.

Zach looked at her, "Well, your hair is perfect," she told her.


"At 4:00 PM, that's when. Can't wait till you hear us."


"Whoops. Gotta to the office. Time to make the newspaper. I've been working on an article," he told her, grabbing his camera.

Ashley smiled, "Thanks." She said then stood up and listened to him and nodded.


"Got it. At four. I'm looking forward to it. I've gotta go to. Work calls. Message me!"


She told him as she smiled then waved and ended the call. Yeah it was short but that was the best video chat she ever had. She never once felt this way with someone.

Zach waved back before she ended it, and got up. He walked outside to his old pickup truck. He got in and drove to the office.


When he got there, he went straight to his office and got on the computer, to his article. Really, he was a photographer, but he and the person he's working with are using the same computer. He then took out his phone and messaged her.

Ashley got into her lifted truck and drove to work. When she got there, she got down and smiled when she heard her phone ding. She was even happier it was Zach.


"Hey [emoji4]"


She messaged back and then walked in to clock in. She got her apron on and then went over to the Starbucks. She worked at Barnes and noble yes but she worked at the Starbucks there inside and she loved it.

Zach walked out of the office with his camera. He needed to take some pictures of birds. So, he went to a tree where some birds were and started taking pictures when his phone dinged. He took it out and saw it was from Ashley.


Gotta leave work soon. I need to get ready for Guitar Center Sessions.


He messaged her when a huge bird flew by. He lifted up his camera and took a picture of it at the last minute.

Ashley was helping a customer and making their order when she felt her phone vibrate. She would have to look at it in a minute. When she finished, she handed that customer their drink and then made sure no one was looking. She looked at her phone and smiled.


"I see. I would love to leave work but I just got here. Haha. I have softball practice after though."


She sent him then quickly out her phone away as another customer came over and she served then with a smile.

Zach started packing up his car and went home. He grabbed his ukulele and guitar then propped them up against the passenger seat when his phone dinged. He checked it and saw it was from Ashley.


Well, hopefully you will see me at four


He sent her it as he started the car and drove away.

Ashley was still working as she got a rush of customers all of a sudden. She honestly didn't know why she was this busy today but she was. When the Rush was contained with, she went and looked at her phone and smiled. She wanted to see him at four and she was going to make sure she did. She told her friend to set up her computer and they got the channel ready and everything. She was going to watch Zach.


"I will. [emoji4] I just set up the computer now. Do great![emoji4][emoji173]️"


She sent him and began to clean and then helped the customers that continued to come.

Zach got out of the car with both his instruments, then saw goals set up. "Oh no, what are they going to make me do?" He asked. He then heard the ding, and replied.


Alright, almost starting. Think they might make me make a few goals.


He then began walking towards the building, being extremely excited.

When Ashley heard the ding, she looked at the message and laughed as she smiled. She walked to sit by the computer with Angela and watched as it began. She didn't text Zach through the entire time it showed but when they brought up the topic of relationships and if Zach was in a relationship, she couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat. She would be happy for him if he did but there was something deep down that hoped he didn't.

"Oh man, relationships. I sort of do, but I never met her in person," Zach said, folding his hands. "She lives in Texas." Zach ran a hand through his hair and laughed when he asked him about what was the most energetic thing he's ever done in a concert. "Oh man, I have one. So, we were performing at this big place, 5,000 people at minimum. And, I was on top of the piano shouting to the crowd. So then, I back flipped off then did a handstand," he said, trying not to laugh. He knew Ashley was watching and so were his friends, and that was the only thing he could ask for when he was this excited.

When Zach said what he said, Angela looked at Ashley and smiled and Ashley smiled as well but then laughed at him as he began to talk again. She was happy she got to watch him today. She had been wanting to for awhile now.


"What song are you going to sing for us today?" He asked and Ashley continued to smile. She wanted to hear him sing. She knew what he sounded like but she wanted to eat him again.

"Well, two. We're going to sing a cover of a Fallout Boy song, and a song by us," Zach told him, putting a hand on his head when he told him he had some sports outside that he wanted Zach to do.

Ashley smiled as they were going to sing a cover of a Fall Out Boy song. It all seemed so perfect but the distance was really killing her. She wanted to meet him already and just be in his arms. They weren't even together yet she was thinking that way.
