On the morning of 1896 a beautiful baby girl was born to Lillian Rose and Sir Harold Walter, House Florence of France. She was the first of 3 siblings that followed; Kenneth Harold, Richard Harold, and Gladys Rose of House Florence. Throughout her youth Magdalene lived nothing short of a lavish lifestyle consisting of the finest items, and the best quality of care. From an outside perspective she had everything from money to experience, but in this day and age it was almost impossible to wish for a fulfilling life. Unlike the other little girls Magdalene was adventurous with an added touch for danger as it fueled her curiosity. This was unacceptable for a girl in her station, and she would constantly be in the eyeful watch of her father. From work to home anything that her father was monitoring was due to it not being correct. Being out of order, and imperfect. Whether it be a glass shattered by a maid, or her mother planning a banquet of an unflattering color. If it didn't satisfy their father then it was dealt with accordingly.
Love never once existed in the House of Florence. On realizing that she was a wild card Sir Harold sent his 1st daughter abroad to boarding school. She spent some time in Spain, Germany, and the USA as she excelled past what was acceptable. Each school could not contain her hunger for knowledge, so she was moved around as a means of discipline. Magdalene rarely made friends, and was not popular among the boys due to being able to hold an intellectual conversation. There were a few times she was engaged, an arranged marriage more like it. None of them fell through when they met her, and that almost always angered her father. She was not scared of him, and eventually would admit to herself that seeing her fathers dreams of a perfect household would never come true was her own happiness, though twisted.
Adult Life
After graduating from school Magdalene took up teaching to run away from the grasps of her family line and its responsibilities. Doing so would shun her from her family, and cut off all ties to her inheritance. A small price to pay for freedom, but she had to learn to live among the working class. Because of her name Magdalene came up with an alias to keep from revealing who she truly is. The House of Florence has ties to Parliament on her fathers side as well as blue blood ties on her mothers side, though she will not explain exactly how.
Days Adventuring
In the current day and age what woman can do is limited, though the fight for their rights is ongoing. Because of this Magdalene made the decision to become a teacher as it's been a stable profession for ages. Along with this she is given the excuse of not having to marry as she looks after others children, and does private tutoring. On her endeavors she went from place to place, never settling in one area for too long as private tutoring paid well. She stumbled on the orphanage by pure chance, and was glad to be accepted. She was kicked out of her last teaching job due to an argument with the owner, and word spread fast that she could be a liability to others. This was not true, but an outspoken woman is always a problem...
Paris, France - Head of HouseHarold WalterRelationshipFatherCurrent StandingNon-ExistentNotesThere truly never existed a bond between the two, and Magdalene expects there to be no such bond in her lifetime after what she's done. Her father has refused to see her since she graduated school, and she has heard from word of mouth that he claims to only have 1 daughter. There are moments she wished things were different, and it still pains her to be without a father figure, especially through her difficult times in life.
Lady of HouseLillian RoseRelationshipMotherCurrent StandingNon-ExistentNotesThis bond was complex in a sense that one moment her mother would dote on her, but the next she would be given the cold shoulder. Magdalene summed it up to how her mother felt at the moment, and what kind of interaction she would have with her father. Because of this there has been a rift in their relationship, and her mother refuses to write her back. Every time she moves Magdalene sends a postcard to her mother to let her know here she is, and what she's up to. Whether her mother reads the postcards or dismisses them is something she has no idea of, but she wishes for the latter option.
HeirKenneth HaroldRelationshipBrotherCurrent StandingExtremely CloseNotesOnly being 2 years apart has its perks when it comes to their relationship. They practically grew up together and spent many times causing more problems than being model children like their mother wanted them to be. It was always accepted that Magdalene would not be the heir to the family fortune, and therefore there was no bad blood from the two. Even though they were separated when they were older both of them still kept in touch by writing as frequently as possible. Though Kenneth grew up with more responsibility than his older sister, and in turn gained thrice as much as she was ever going to be able to have, he still envied her free spirit and determined attitude to life. He tends to call Magdalene his idol as he is living through her, and in turn she is given updates on the state of the family through him. Nothing will break this sibling bond.
ScholarRichard HaroldRelationship2nd BrotherCurrent StandingMildNotesMagdalene loves her brother, but there is something off about him. Being 8 years apart from her created some difficulty as she was never able to establish a clear connection with Richard. The times she spent with him were fun, but he seemed to be more mischievous than simply enjoying playing around. His pranks and jokes consisted of danger, and would often lead to his maids getting hurt. Strange to say the least, but as he grew older he seemed to like Magdalene less and less. Eventually as he grew to be a teenager she had stopped receiving letters from him. He never writes, and Kenneth has mentioned that he spends lots of time with mother in her endeavors. Strange to say the least.
Little MissGladys RoseRelationshipSisterCurrent StandingNon-ExistentNotesBeing 9 years apart created plenty of complications, and Magdalene spent time attempting to create a connection with Richard that she never truly got to understand her youngest sibling. In time she noticed that this little one was always with father, and their small interactions only consisted of cunning witty interactions. She felt hostility when speaking with Gladys, and because of this never picked up a conversation once she was shunned. From the last she heard of her little sister, she is the queen of gossip in high society. Not only that, but Father dotes on her every moment he gets.

There are certain things that Magdalene does not like to talk about which can come off as arrogant. She is not, though she does nothing to attempt to save face. She walks around with a sense of pride considering she's a headstrong individual who was taught to always hold her head high, no matter the situation. Because of the education she received Magdalene is a well spoken woman who can hold a conversation with men and women, and is self aware of how her presence affects the room. This is one of the reasons she has a mild temperament, but the flipside being she cannot take a joke. She is easily provoked, and has a wit that's as fast as a bullet. Her past has greatly affected her view on life so she tends to think of the worst possible outcomes, or even expect the worst of people. Not to say she cannot trust a person, but only that she thinks ahead of what someone's motives may be. In high society it best to have the upper hand on any opponent, and simply put, she learned from the best.
OddityTo be able to manipulate gravity in inanimate objects. She can either make items float, or make them weigh double what they normally weigh. Currently she has no control over this oddity, so she resorts to wearing gloves; Medical, fashion, and any other kinds will work.Trauma PointsThere are 2 things that Magdalene fears more than death: Never finding her place in life, and possibly dying alone without another by her sideHobbies - Interests

- Exploring the outdoors: Enjoys camping outside, navigation, and the general leisurely stroll.

- Avid book reader: Reads fiction novels, and non fiction biographies
- Bird Watching: Enjoys seeing birds, feeding birds, and watching them fly high in the sky

- Was interested in photography, and had a studio in the mansion she lived in before being disowned and kicked out
