Name:

Molly Adelaide Fairfax.

Nickname(s):

She doesn't really have any.

Gender:

She's a female.

Age:

Molly is currently ten years of age.

DOB:

She was born on February 23rd, which makes her a Pisces.

Personality:

Odds are that you will never meet another person quite like Molly. One could say that such is true of every person you'll ever meet, but Molly is an extra special case. In short, she's an oddball. Quirky in demeanor, she always seems to be lost in another world, possessing her own brand of odd. Despite common belief, she is aware of much more than anyone gives her credit for, and has mountains of knowledge hidden behind a silk curtain of what seems like obliviousness. She's a legitimate genius, but rarely demonstrates it, not finding it necessary to brag or show off her academic feats, which may contribute to a good majority of people thinking she's a little off in the head. Her front of naiveté is sometimes betrayed by the things Molly says - she's generally vague, but she almost always knows what's going on and if someone looks deep enough into the supposed nonsense she spouts, they'll find a lot of reason and sound advice. Whether she's daring or just oblivious to risk, she has a tendency to do things that other people are too afraid to try without even seeming to realize how bold it is of her. Her imagination is endless and due to this, she is very good with younger children, able to spin fantastic stories on the spot and come up with wondrous games for them to play. She's very adventurous and braver than most girls her age, with a positive outlook on life, but despite how optimistic she seems, the servants sometimes worries about where her mind goes when she's left to her own devices. Molly has a few berserk buttons that, when pressed, bring out an entirely different person. Considering how unbelievably loyal Molly is, if someone is to insult or, heaven-forbid, attack someone who she cares about, the spacey girl will be replaced by a woman of steel, armed with startling strength and an arsenal of cruel words. She can be extremely intimidating when she wants to be and is absolutely terrifying when she gets angry, but that's rare to see. On the other end of the spectrum, she generally doesn't care what other people have to say about her, but when someone is able to pierce her armor and jab at her confidence, she's quick to break down and cry, a heartbreaking sight to behold. Fortunately, that is just as rare as her fury. She's inquisitive, determined and very noble, though one would never guess, considering how quiet and gentle she is in her day to day life. Never judge a book by its cover.

Appearance:

Molly is an undeniably pretty young girl, standing at 4'2 precisely with a slender figure and spindly limbs, though they do have some wirey muscle to them. She's lacking curves or a bust, her form resembling more of a ruler than an hourglass, but given her age, this is normal. Her skin is soft and dark, almost bronze in color, and she has a heart shaped face with a cute button nose and pink lips. Her eyes are wide and expressive, the windows to her soul; ocean blue in color, they're her best feature, framed by long eyelashes and topped by thin eyebrows. She has silky dark brown hair that hangs down to her hips in thick ringlets, though she generally ties it back for the sake of convenience. There are a few scars scattered across her slight form, but they're almost always hidden by her clothes. She has a few crisscrossing scars on her back and lines of them on the back of her thighs, light pink against her dark skin. There's a more recent one near the left side of her collarbone, and there's a tiny slash on her left arm, where the wrist connects to the palm. Due to her family's status, she's always outfitted in classy dresses and accessories, though she'd much prefer her brother's old overalls. She prefers not to wear shoes, but when she has to, it's generally a pair of pinchy mary-janes, and she is never seen without an old worn out friendship bracelet.

Romantic / Sexual Orientation:

Molly is panromantic and asexual, meaning she's romantically attracted to any gender, but doesn't feel sexual attraction.

Likes:

Leaning more towards love than hate, there are a lot of things Molly likes. She loves nature and relishes the feeling of dirt between her toes, going barefoot at every possible opportunity. The sound of rain soothes her and she enjoys gardening, favoring flowers over vegetables. Her favorite would have to be bluebells. Anything with fur has a special place in her heart, and she's made a hobby of collecting useless antique trinkets, particularly silverware, scissors, bottles, and keys, but really anything that's old. (One may say it's more of an obsession than a hobby, since she carries the bag of baubles with her everywhere, but she finds obsession to be an ugly word.) She dabbles in writing and painting, but her true passion is in photography, and the one thing she's kept from her old home was her camera, a big bulky polaroid that she treasures.

Dislikes:

Despite her ability to see beauty in things most of the world scorns, Molly is only human, and naturally, there are things she doesn't like. Most of it is little things, such as way heat makes her skin crawl or the buzz of bugs in summer. She doesn't like the way meat tastes nor the way it makes her feel to know she's digesting what used to be a living animal, hence why she's vegetarian. However, though she refuses to eat any sort of meat, she doesn't love all animals - birds in particular freak her out. She doesn't like their beady eyes, the way they walk, or the way they swoop for your food as if its theirs. But what she hates above anything else is water, deep water. In her youth, there was an incident where she almost drowned, and the person who saved her, a dear friend, died doing so. Naturally, she's loathed and feared water ever since.

Fears:

As mentioned above, Molly's biggest fear is water, which is ironic with how much she loves rain. She adamantly refuses to swim in any circumstances, going no deeper than her ankles, is terrified of riding on a boat, and takes showers instead of baths. She's also afraid of the dark, but to a much lesser degree, and can generally manage that fear as long as she's not alone - that would be another fear. Isolation.

Notable Relationships:

Admittedly, there are very few people Molly has gotten to know throughout the course of her life. One of them is her mother, Constance. A pretty woman who married for wealth instead of love, Constance didn't care much for either of her children and was rather negligent. She was a tad fonder of Molly's older brother than she was of Molly, because he was more grounded and well-behaved, but she didn't pay either of them much mind, spending her days partying and gambling, showing off their wealth and having illicit affairs that both of her children were well aware of. Another was her father, Leonard. Significantly older than Constance and already having lost two wives, Leonard was bitter and cold by the time he married Constance, and her lack of faith did nothing to help. He was spiteful towards his two children, viewing them as little more than a nuisance, little copies of the wife he was less than fond of, and though Molly's brother took the brunt of their father's spite, Molly had to suffer through a fair bit of it herself, hence the scars on her back and legs. (Also why she flinches whenever her brother would take out a belt, though he was only ever putting it on or taking it off.) Last but not least, there was Molly's older brother, Jackson. Nine years older than her, he treated Molly like a princess, an angel sent to earth to grace all of those around her with her presence. Keeping her safe and happy was his life goal, and Jackson was never able to forgive himself for letting their father get to her, even though he did all he could. In a contrast to their parents' cool distance, Jackson was always warm, attentive, and loving, prone to spoiling Molly in any way he could.

Biography:

Molly was born to Constance and Leonard Fairfax, two parents that were less than loving, caring much more for their wealth and social status than they did their frail daughter. While her childhood was an unfortunate one, Molly was gifted with Jackson, an older brother who doted on her and did everything in his power to make her happy. Hence why he agreed to take her out on the lake in a rowboat, despite the fact that it wasn't theirs and they weren't supposed to be out anyway. But Molly, in all her seven year old cuteness, begged and begged, and as always, he caved, eyeing the dark clouds on the distance warily as he rowed them out. They'd get back in before the storm came, he figured. Neither of them could have predicted the speed and ferocity with which the storm came over them. The boat was slammed into rocks by the forceful winds, and Molly, a weak swimmer, struggled to keep her head above the surface. Jackson grabbed hold of her and managed to find a piece of the boat big enough to support her, but he himself stayed in the water, trying with all he had to push her to shore. But Jackson was only a boy, just seventeen years old, and his body gave into the cold darkness of the water. He sank, and no matter how Molly screamed, he didn't come back up. She was found the next day, drifting a few feet from shore on her piece of boat, crying and barely conscious. After the incident, Molly was never quite the same. Her smile remained and she explored just as she always had, but her pillow was frequently wet with tears and she began to shut herself off from the rest of the world.

(Will add to this as Stephen develops)

Name: Stephen Brown

Nickname(s): NA

Gender: Male

Age: 26

DOB: July 15th

Personality: Despite everything that he went through as a child, Stephen remains a kind, patient individual. Very much a people-pleaser, Stephen does not do well with criticism and works hard in order to provide others with what they need, even if it means sacrificing part of himself in the process. He is on the quieter side and hates confrontation. He knows he needs therapy to deal with the demons of his past, but is unable to afford it.

Appearance: There is nothing overalls special about Stephen's appearance. He stands at 5'9", is of average weight, and lacks muscles. He has brown eyes and brown hair, and prefers to wears jeans and plain shirts.

Romantic / Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Likes: Dogs, kids, taking care of others.

Dislikes: The dark, working multiple jobs, the way his childhood haunts him.

Fears: Being alone forever. Stephen worries his childhood has left him unlovable and that he will never get the chance at the family he so desperately wants.

Notable Relationships: The only sibling Stephen keeps in touch with is his older sister Mary. He doesn't talk to her often now that she has three kids to look after.

Biography: Stephen was born the youngest of thirteen, to an already overworked father and mother who used alcohol to control her depression. The family lived in a three bedroom house with an attic that acted as a fourth bedroom. As the youngest, Stephen often served as the punching bag for his older brothers and frequently found himself doing their chores in an attempt to keep them from hurting him. His mother never seemed to want anything to do with him or any of his brothers, focusing all of her attention on her two daughters. The only time she talked to the boys seemed to be when she needed to discipline one of them, and Stephen did what he could do behave and stay away from her wrath.

Stephen got by though. The sister closest to him in age, Mary, took a special liking to her baby brother and did her best to mother him. She was the one to clean his scrapped knees and offer him words of encouragement when things got rough. Stephen spent many nights in her bed, cuddled under the covers with her as the two tried to block out the sounds of their mother fighting with the oldest boys.

Stephen escaped his childhood home as soon as he graduated high school. Mary, unfortunately, had already married and began having her own babies by this point and Stephen was left with no other option but to strike out on his own. Continuing his education wasn't an option and Stephen worked multiple retail jobs in an attempt to get by. Having never witnessed a stable relationship growing up, any attempt at a relationship ended horribly. He kept finding himself attracted to women that acted just like his mother and Stephen was unable to deal with their personalities. He found himself in a relationship with a woman that already had a boy and a girl when he was twenty-two. He stayed with her for nearly two years, more so for the kids than for her, before she was arrested for misconduct. With no legal rights to the kids and an unstable lifestyle, the kids were removed from Stephen's care and placed into the foster system.

Stephen was devastated. He has spent the last two years alone, working odd jobs to get by, and finding himself growing more and more depressed. He had tried to keep his hope up, but no chance at love or kids has left him unfulfilled in life.
