Well, I had a lot of deaths, so I was thinking... How can I tie getting rid of something and killing off people together? So, I looked at my list and I saw that I could probably trade vegetables with somebody later on, then the idea popped into my head. xD

Still haven't worked out a Trade phase yet, but we do have a new player interested in joining. I'm just having him catch up through pm's

@Bobisdead123 and @KurtH6355 we await your nations posts for the Random Nature Phase.


In other news, I may be opening up a new IC tab that will solely deal with a WAR phase. Unlike the phases in the cycle of the current IC, the WAR phase will be held separately and can only be between two people. Still trying to simplify the DICE roll for the combat.

Just to let you all know that I'll be away for most of the day tomorrow, so I won't be able to post the plot post and move us into the next phase, but the next phase is more point allocations to sectors and +1000 in births/migrants etc. should be an easy post.
 
I havent seen an indication on what time period were working with so ive presumed since we have steam, electricity,transportation, and disaster awareness an relief, that it was kind of like maybe about the tech level if the american civil war when trains and basic electricity came out. I've tried to keep my electricity, transportation, and disaster awareness descriptions early, but about what levels do you see certain advances coming out? Im thinking like maybe 10 year tech advance per point?? IN that case 10 points in one thing would be a 100 year advance in that tech. Would that be reasonable? or do you have other ideas?

I haven't come up with technological milestones to reach within certain points, because it may be too complicated overall. However if you wish to do it that way, more power to you. It sounds like an excellent way of doing things in the future but for now each member can play things by ear and decide what technologies and advances they want to make and note in their history.


Cool I'll move everyone into the new cycle. Which I should probably note down somewhere.
 
Just to beg a question, in the catastrophy and death toll period when you say


"If your population's death total ( Catastrophe + Death Toll ) exceeds 600, you must select 1 sector of growth and remove it indefinitely."


Do you mean 1 level of work is lost or the entire industry in total?


If its the total wouldn't it make simple sense to have one sector left at 1-2 just in case???


Really hoping its just dropping a bit off an industry.

Good question.


And yes it would be a good idea to leave a sector or two at low lever, however my intent here is to completely remove the sector from play, meaning you can no longer use that sector during the upcoming cycles. I am working on a way to 'buy' back a sector of growth that is lost. But for now, either remove one or strike through whichever is chosen.
