Degenerate Animal Crossing™ Cheater
Jon_14 submitted a new role play:

Life in an Orphanage - Living this way sucks but we don't have any other chose.

We're all here for one reason or another. Either parents being dead, given up at a young age, taken away by the CPA because of legal issues,or just plain not wanted at all. Everyone keeps hope that maybe they'll have a nice family adopt them and finally feel like they belong. Or be old enough to leave the hellhole and move on with their life. Many things can happen though being in foster care though, and there's a chance you can get a miracle from above. Fat chance of it happening though.

I can't remember what it feels like to laugh.

Isaac sat on the one musty, yet plushy couch in the Rec room, gazing around in his usual silence at all of the children and teenagers. The younger kids were giggling as they played with each other, and Isaac had caught the sound and listened in on it. His soft blue gaze was rather dim as he tried to file back to memories of his distant childhood in order to retrieve the memory of laughter, yet couldn't seem to do so. He was used to not being able to emit any verbal noise - not laughing, not sobbing, not talking, and so on - yet yearned to just have even the smallest hint of a memory as to what it really felt like. But his attempts were fruitless, and he knew this quite well.

He sighed mournfully, his gaze averting down to his hands placed limply on his legs. His attire was rather simple that day; a baggy black sweatshirt held a simple black T-shirt underneath, with dark gray skinny jeans and his usual worn out, dirty old Converse sneakers. His snap-back was left up in his room. He felt no need to bring it down with him that day, so his soft black hair was fully visible. His gaze seemed to hold a notion of loneliness, almost as if he had been outcast from everyone else, and the space next to him on the plush, ripped couch laid heavy on his heart. He didn't really mind, though.

He was used to it, after all. Not many people wanted to be in company with a mute kid.

Gabe sat with a group of the younger kids, talking and laughing with them. He found himself spending a lot of time with the younger kids lately. There were a lot of them and he felt it was his responsibility to keep them entertained and out of trouble. Now they were playing duck duck goose and he was referee. They were making a lot of noise as they competed, and he tried to get them to keep quiet, but it just wasn't working. "You guys are out of control," he groaned, placing his hands over his eyes as the kids screamed for a boy to make it back to his spot in the circle. He stood from his place on the floor and stretched, strolling over to stand with his back against the wall so he could watch them from a safe distance.

This is how every day seemed to go for him, but he didn't like to think about it. Gabe felt like he was wasting his life away in this place, just hanging out with a bunch of kids. He loved them, he really did, but he just wanted to talk to someone his own age for once. Just go out and see the world, find a girl, just do normal teenage stuff. Instead he was stuck inside this musty orphanage watching screaming little kids chase each other around a circle.

Avery yawned, running a hand through her wavy blonde hair, she glanced at the mirror in the bathroom before brushing her hair, just enough to get the small curls out but enough to keep it wavy. She smiled at herself in the mirror before adding her only makeup, eyeliner and eyeshadow. She yawned, she didn't do it to look girly, or be girly, she did it to make herself look a bit more rock looking. She yawned again before heading back across the hall to her room, her room mate, some blonde girly girl, named Layla glanced at her. "You shouldn't walk around in just bra and shorts" Layla warned as Avery entered the room. Avery grinned, "I don't mind though" She said, innocently before slipping on a tank top, she growled as some little kids went screaming past her room. Both Avery and Layla were pretty new, Avery had been there about an hour longer then Layla. Avery grinned at the smaller blonde girl, who was watching her from under the covers on the top bunk. "I'm gonna go sneak out to skateboard." She said as she slipped on some skinny jeans and a tanktop with a rock band called Three Days Grace on it. The tattooed girl grabbed her skateboard and opened the door, a little kid crashed into her before she was a step out of the doorway. "Get out of her you little brats" She hissed, causing the kids to run down the hall, in tears. She made her way down the hall, past some little brats playing some game. She covered her ears as the kids shouted. Avery groaned, she locked eyes with the loudest girl and glared at her. Suddenly, the girl burst into tears, and Avery almost laughed. She tucked her blonde hair around her ear as one of the orphanage workers glared at her. "Disgusting" The worker whispered as she passed Avery, causing the girl to roll her eyes in annoyance, the adults hated her, her rule breaking and her tattoos, which covered her body.

Layla dressed quickly, in a long sleeved shirt with a small v-neck and some skinny jeans as well before following Avery. "Hey Avery!" She called, trying to get through the kids, she couldn't help but feel upset as she heard what the orphanage worker said but she didn't mention. "Avery, I just remembered that you promised to teach me how to ride a skateboard today" She reminded and Avery glanced at her, looking her up and down before grimacing. "Er..." The tattooed girl started, "Grab one of my rock band shirts, put my eyeliner on and meet me here." She stated, "Or you'll be beaten up if you even look at the skatepark, let alone what will happen to me if I'm seen with you" Layla nodded, slightly offended by her words but just because she didn't like taking orders. Avery leaned against the wall, suddenly aware of a boy (Gabe) leaning against the wall near the little brats.

Jason entered the Rec room, almost tripping over a cluster of kids before glancing at them and crouching down next to them. "What happens if I would have fallen?" He asked, softly. They glanced at him, "Uh... Fwall?" The youngest asked and he nodded, "And who would I have fallen on?" A boy pointed at them all, "Us?" Jason nodded, "So what are you going to do?" They chirped in together, "Move!" And scooted away from the door. He nodded in approval at them before pulling his hat lower over his wavy brown hair. He was tired of this place but didn't show it. He simply sat down in a chair near the doorway.

Preston glanced around the place, as his grandmother slowly got out of the car. "Hold on Grandma, let me get the walker!" He hurriedly jumped out the car and grabbed the walker out of the backseat, he opened it up and wheeled it over to his grandmother. Who slowly got out of the car, fully, with the support of the walker. She wheeled around the car and up the ramp for disabled, Preston following behind to make sure she doesn't fall. As they reached the doors, the young boy opened it up for her and they entered the orphanage for the first time. He was surprised how loud it was, and his grandmother flinched at the noise before ambling up the a woman, "Excuse me... I got an appointment to drop off my grandson here?" Preston gave her a small smile.

( xD Derp .-. what should I do with Preston now?)

Harvey groaned as his head pounded with noise, he slowly made his way into the rec room and collapsed on the other end of the couch, next to Isaac, "Oh man, these kids are loud, huh?" He asked the other boy, adjusting his glasses to see better.

Isaac was pulled out of his saddened state when he felt the weight on the couch shift with another person. He perked up, his head tilting to the side to find that Harvey had decided to take the empty spot next to him. The young man couldn't help but grin with amusement when he saw how weary the guy looked; in Isaac's opinion, his expression communicated an absurd amount of done with the day, and Isaac quickly attempted to repress his smile for Harvey's sake, his mood lifting back to his casual amount of friendliness in the presence of a close friend of his. As Harvey gave him his little statement, Isaac had more trouble keeping his grin out of sight. Even his voice just echoed the weariness in his expression.

He stated that the kids were loud, and asked if he thought the same, in which Isaac's mouth quirked into a half frown. Over time, Isaac had learned to adapt to the screeching of the younger children in the many foster homes he was always moved to, so in response to the question, he simply did a shrug in passiveness, meaning to say 'I don't exactly mind.' In all honesty, seeing that there were children in foster homes that were genuinely laughing and having fun was uplifting for Isaac, but he wouldn't admit that.

Harvey laughed at him, "So rude, trying to hide that smile of yours" He made an over dramatic sad face, "Don't you love me anymore?" He asked before laughing and leaning against Isaac, "Just teasing you of course" The boy groaned, "I am getting so sick of nonstop yells and screams, for real" He complained, "Do you wanna go somewhere? Maybe eat out or something?" He asked, sitting up straight again. "I'm going to explode if I'm here any longer. Literally." He added with a slightly serious tone of voice. (Derp .-. Writers block sorry)

Lucas trailed behind his foster parents as he entered yet another orphanage for him to live in. His foster parents looked nothing like him, Jonathon his foster father had thick black hair which was brushed out of his face and Caily his wife had plush brown hair that barely met her shoulders, Lucas and his bright orange hair stuck out as they entered the front office. The women at the front desk held pity in her eyes as Jonathon walked towards her anger filling his stride. "Hello." The women spoke and forced a smile upon her face, "how can I help you?" she looked tired but she held herself up as Jonathon spoke "I would like to put this boy up for adoption." Jonathon stepped to the side and revealed Lucas who stood in the entrance alone. Jonathon didn't even consider Lucas as his son or as an individual it had always been like that since the second day. The women at the front desk turned more towards Jonathon and her back straightened, "Is he originality your own child or is he adopted?" The words sounded rehearsed as they rolled right off her tongue, "me and my wife adopted him 4 months ago," Jonathon started "can you bring up his file so this will go faster?" The women nodded and turned towards her computer asking for Lucas' name "it's Lucas, only Lucas." Caily spoke up from a seat by the entrance of the office. Lucas stood behind them and held his notebook and ukulele tight to his chest, Lucas hadn't spoken a word to anyone for what felt like years, which it was but still. "Oh, here he is, okay i'll just need you to do some paperwork in the room next door," The women pointed to a room which had the door slightly ajar with a man sitting silently at the desk doing paperwork, "and you can stay here with me." The women smiled as she acknowledged Lucas. She beckoned him forward with a finger until Lucas took a step into the room and leaned against the wall next to the entrance silently. Another orphanage, yay, he thought slyly.

The second Harvey said his first comment, Isaac immediately broke out into the wide smile he had previously been ineffectively hiding. The amusement in his smile disappeared for a moment when he spoke again and turned into something more mischievous as Isaac's hands came up and his fingertips touched to make themselves into a heart shape, eyes flaring with personal entertainment and sarcastic humor. After a second, he let his hands drop back down onto his legs, resting lazily on them once more. He leaned just a tad to the side with Harvey when he leaned against him, doing a silly little half smile when he began to complain about the loudness of the children and their non-stop screaming, complaints which Isaac could only respond to with light shrugs and the same soft little half grin.

When he asked if Isaac wanted to go out to eat something, the smile on his face faded in a mix of indecisiveness and surprise. The young man had no idea that they were allowed to go out somewhere - in fact, knowing Harvey, he had no idea if they were allowed to go out somewhere. He stared at him for a moment, eyebrows rising and lips becoming a skeptical half frown, asking silently 'Are we allowed to?' He'd need to grab his whiteboard if they'd be going out at all, and he really had no idea how much trouble they'd be in if it was against the rules to go, so the mute boy was insistent on knowing.

Harvey looked away, "Psssh of course we can go" He sent him a small smile, "Wellll..... If you don't go, I'll go anyway. Don't' you wanna come wiiiith" He sounded like a little kid, "You don't want to leave me alone to get kidnapped, because every kidnapper goes for an almost adult guy, right?" He grinned before lightly punching Isaac's arm. "Plllleeeeeaaasseeee" He begged, "I got the money" he added, "And it will be on me!" Harvey stuck his tongue out childishly, "Pwease? I'll tell them that you knew I left" he said it sarcastically but nudged the boy, "It's good to get out" He reminded, "We gotta go out for fun, not just for school"

After a couple minutes the offices heavy silence was lifted as the door of the managers door opened and Jonathon and Caily walked out following the man they where talking to towards the women at the front desk. The man was bald and his head reflected in the rooms light, Lucas raised his eyebrows at the man when he stared towards him. The man turned away towards the women and gave her a small packet of papers, "put these into the computer and into his file and ring in someone to bring him to his new room." his words held amusement as if he enjoyed people filled with sadness or pain. But Lucas felt none of those he just felt numb as he pushed his bangs out of of his horribly green eyes. The women dialed a number and the man then turned towards Jonathon and Caily and spoke, "you have a minute or so before someone is going to come get him, say what you wish, and don't get into any fights please we have to many of those." And with that the man pointed towards the hallway outside of the office, "just speak out there." He then smiled shaked Lucas' former foster parents hands then walked back into his office. Jonathon then bid Lucas behind him and Caily as they walked out and in front of the office. "Are you happy?" Jonathon spoke in a harsh whisper as he faced Lucas who stood against the wall, "We saved you and your still not even going to speak to us? You un-grateful waste of life?" He rose his voice slightly as fury filled his eyes, Lucas stood staring at him keeping himself emotionless waiting for his tour. "Lucas." Caily spoke up in a slightly strict tone, Lucas didn't know why but he cockily lifted his wrist as if checking the time though he didn't have a watch. He didn't know why but he felt like he was winning against these people he felt-. A hand grabbed the lower part of Lucas' jaw and slammed his head against the cold wall causing Lucas to drop his only possessions onto the floor. Jonathon stared at Lucas with a glare that would kill "Hell with you" Jonathon spoke through clenched teeth as Lucas fought for breath. A man jogged out of the office and tore Jonathon from Lucas. "Calm down sir." The man spoke in more of a demand, Jonathon stared towards the man as Lucas crouched and picked up his notebook and Ukulele just as a women quickly walked over. "Lucas?" She asked with concern as the man brought Jonathon and Caily to the other side of the hallway. "Let me show you to your room." The women stood as Lucas did and she led him down the dull hallway away from another home he didn't belong in.

( xD Shall I have one of my charries be roomates with yours? .-. I only have guys left .-. They are bisexual/pansexual)

Gabe gave a side glance at Avery, who stood against the wall just beside him. He had watched her lash out at the kids in annoyance, and although he felt bad for the kids, he was still pretty amused. The kids there were pretty rowdy, and he could see how they could cause quite a disturbance if you weren't used to screaming kids. He turned to Avery, a half-smirk on his face as he crossed his arms.

"You know, they'll like you a lot more if you're nice to them," he said, a playful suggestion more than anything.

Serenity sat in his room, not quite ready to go out and interact with others yet. He'd only entered the orphanage just recently and was still having a hard time coping with what had happened. Letting out a soft sigh his fingers aimlessly played with the ends of his hair. Perhaps he was being too gloomy, yes, nothing good would come of moping around in his room all day. He had to put an end to his dreariness. Slowly, and even a bit hesitantly he got up off of his bed, eyes wandering from the window to the door. How bad could it be? It would surely be a lot better than isolating himself, and with these thoughts he went to the door, opening it just a crack so he could peek out. Star smiled to himself as the shrill laughter and shrieks from playing children sounded in his ears. Kids were okay, they weren't judgemental and were easily befriended, what he was more worried about was the people around his age. Oh well, he would just act like he normally did, be himself, but not himself. Finally opening the door all the way he left the room.

Avery glanced at the boy, "Pfft, I don't want them to like me. I want them to listen to me. Those little monsters don't deserve to be friends with me." She sent him a small smile, "They don't like me much anyway." She ran her hand through her hair before glancing down the hall for Layla, "They are often scared of me, thanks to these" She ran her hand down her arm, touching her tattoos. "The orphanage workers don't help, telling them lies about me" ( Derp WB .-.

@SkyFilms, you get Jason or Preston)

Lucas walked next to the women while she pointed out areas and rules, but he paid no attention to her. He stared at the orphanage through his orange fringe, and gripped his possessions tighter to his chest when they passed someone. Orphanages seemed like a home to Lucas but this one was different it was more colorful and bright, it was odd. Children ran after one another and teens spoke causally as the women who guided me through the maze of hallways soon came to a stop in front of a door.

"This will be your room until you have either reached legal age or get adopted." She began, the sentence had lost any hope it might have had before to Lucas so he slowly reached for the knob, "oh and you will be having a roommate, his names Preston, Preston varon Plaz is his whole name. If you have any trouble just contact the office." She patted Lucas' back and walked away, Lucas stood in front of the door then clasped the knob but stopped. What am I gonna do, what am I gonna say, Lucas thought these questions while he absently opened the door and saw a brown headed boy sitting on one of the beds. This'll be interesting.

Gabe rolled his eyes, smirking. "I don't think it's so much the tattoos they're afraid of," he said. "Maybe if you would be a little nicer to them and not call them 'monsters' you wouldn't have this problem." He shrugged lazily. "Just my opinion."

Diana was doing her normal day by day routine of sitting alone in her room and drawing in her personal sketchbook. She was lucky that she got to have a room to herself so no one would annoy her which was something that could happen quite easily to her with her with her traits involving socializing. Ugh how she didn't like doing with other kids her age around here. She didn't mind younger kids since they were naive and nice to be around but people her age were unpredictable. But she noticed recently that there were more and more teens showing up at the orphanage which could mean she would have to share a room with someone at some point. After a few more minutes she finished the final details of her picture and set it aside on her desk next to her bed. It was another landscape drawing since she didn't feel as creative today with what to do than she did on a typical day. It might help if I had a look around the place for inspiration. She thought to herself. She decided on that and got up from her spot and left her room. She looked around the hallway and saw a couple of other teens by their rooms and a few kids running up and down the hall. Her sketchbook and pencil were in her messenger bag hung around her shoulder. Now where should I look for something to draw? She thought while having a look around the place.

((Totally fine! X3 He literally just was put into the orI'llphanage!))

Preston smiled at his grandmother, "Don't look so down sweetie" She cooed, touching his cheek, "Stop, Grandma, I'm only gonna be here for a little bit" He reminded with a small smile. The older lady sent him a small smile, "That is true, I guess. Take care sweetie" She said softly before Preston picked up his luggage. "I'll visit" He reminded before a orphanage worker showed him to his room, not really talking. "This is your room, you have a roommate" She opened the door before twisting through the hall. Preston blinked in surprise before entering the room to drop his stuff off, "Excuse me, I'm Preston. We can get more friendly in a moment" He said before leaving the room to go help his grandmother to the car
(Crap)

Avery laughed, "I don't care for children, they don't like me. The feeling is mutual, well. As soon as the girl from before comes back, I will be free from them for a couple of hours. At least" She held up her skateboard, "I gotta teach her to how to skateboard-" She growled as a little girl crashed into her. "F*** off" She snapped, the girl burst into tears and ran to the nearest orphanage worker, sobbing. She glanced Gabe over, "Figures. You are a little monster lover"

Lucas watched the boy leave and turned back to the room, he stood in silence until he finally sat down on a twin sized bed in the corner. He set his ukulele and notebook on top of his pillow and took in his surroundings. Their where two small desks along with two plain beds, though it wasn't a lot it was better then some of the other orphanages. But he dint know what he was going to say to Preston or if they where going to get along or if Lucas was gonna have a chance to cut. Lucas twiddled his thumbs thoughtfully until he quickly pushed the anxious thoughts out of his mind and opened his notebook and begun to write silently.

Preston waved goodbye as his grandmother drove away before squeezing through the halls back inside to his room, he opened the door and let out a sigh, "This place is loud huh?" He stuck out his hand with a large smile, "Hello, I guess we are roommates." He shot him a grin, "My name is Preston Plaz. I know weird name but I like my last name." He smiled again before glancing around the room, "Guess you are gonna take that bed? I'm cool with it!"

Gabe frowned as Avery yelled at the little girl. "Hey, don't swear around them. They'll pick it up, and then how will you explain that?" He shook his head. "And what do you mean by 'monster lover', are you insulting me?"

Lucas took the energetic boys hand and shook it before clearing his throat and speaking, "my names Lucas, and are you sure your okay with me having this bed, I mean i sorta just came in and rudely took it..." Lucas' trailed off as his throat felt dry from not speaking in years. Preston seemed like a very lively person though, generous and kind as well.

Avery laughed, "Good, I picked up swearing when I was younger." Was her response, "I'll say they should know how to curse. And monster lover, kid lover. It's only an insult if you take it like one" She looked up as Layla was now beside her, "I couldn't get the eyeliner on well but don't I look less girly?" She asked with a large smile, causing Avery to sigh loudly. "Good enough, let's get out of this joint now"
Preston smiled before laughing, "I'll make a deal, I'm okay with it, if you're okay with me doing some youtube videos" He said, before hauling his stuff over to the bed, "This is my first time here, do they have good internet, you think?" He asked as he opened his first suitcase and pulled out his laptop, "So Lucas, how are you doing?" He asked, pulling out his microphone and headphones

"Heh, I think you look great," Gabe said with a friendly smile when Layla approached. "You two have fun now. Don't get hurt, don't do drugs, just say no, don't take candy from strangers, all that jazz," he said, grinning at the two of them.
