Multiple Settings Life Game (not what you expect!)

"I don't want to die!"

You feel the scream escape your mouth as you frantically scan the room for something- anything- that might restore your health.

What do I do?

Then your gaze falls on a large vase in the center of the table. It was green, circular, and covered in an ornate gold pattern.

Huh. That's new. When did mom buy this?

With your poor attention span, you wonder over to the vase and instinctively peer inside. You can't see anything in the darkness, so you decide to shatter the vase by throwing it onto the floor.

Hey! Why did I do that?! It's like I'm not controlling by body or something!

You find yourself startled by your own impulsive behavior, but find yourself even more disturbed by the vase's contents. Amidst the shards of green china, a reddish brown blob pulses weakly on the ground, spewing crimson liquid onto the surrounding floor.

"Gross!" You exclaim, glaring at the blob. Then you turn to your mom.

"Why did you have a heart in there?!"

You expect a response at first but then remember.

Right. I have to be standing in front of her.

"Hey! P.T.A.! Why was there a heart in the jar?"

Robotic laughter fills the room.

"I don't know. You humans are always a mystery to me. I don't think it's going to restore your health, though."

You feel the desire to roll your eyes, but suppress it and continue the search for a health restoring item.

You're about to check the fridge, when the ground shifts once more.

You feel yourself tense up, expecting to take another blow from the monster, but are surprised to see the monster recoil instead. It crashes to the ground with an earth shaking thump, then explodes, sending bits of black goo shooting off in all directions.

"Ugh! Gross!" You exclaim, brushing a bit of goo from your shoulder, the turn to the P.T.A. for answers.

"What happened? Why did it explode?"

"Lag," the P.T.A replies simply, then ads, "Don't worry about it. You defeated your first enemy! Now you can enter the next area!"

You're not sure you agree with the P.T.A.'s reasoning but you don't bother to question it further.

"Okay, so what next?" You ask slowly, unsure of how to proceed.

"It's your choice," the P.T.A. responds, then ads "Though, I can throw in my own suggestions here!"

The monster died, allowing you to continue on your way. Though the P.T.A has a few suggestions for your next path!

>Talk to your mom

>Try and restore your health (you're still low, remember?)

>Exit the house

>Explore the kitchen for any monster loot

>write in
