Yeah, I'm thinking of somehow getting her to be able to catch another pokemon, but I don't know how since Abra can't attack xD

Low level pokemon can be caught easily without damage. Or in the games and manga they could. Maybe you could waste 2 pokeballs by throwing them at the pokemon and hope it captures the pokemon?

Are we ever going to find pokemon that are injured already? I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen in the games, though

Yep O.o there will be some cases like in the show where you find an abandoned pokemon like ash with that charmander. And so forth. There be cases like that and such as well as a great event that you can miss depending on where you're at.
