Anyone know where to find the number breakdown for the amount of soliders in a legion, wing, talon, scale etc?

Well, there is one sort of reference on Exalted, p. 159. A slightly longer reference (with the breakdown) on p. 36. The Seventh Legion uses a slightly different organization which can be found on The Scavenger Lands, p. 61.

Talon: 25 (5 fangs)


Scale: 125 (5 talons)


Wing: 250 (2 scales)


Dragon: 500 (2 wings)


Legion: 5000 (10 dragons)

Those numbers don't include support personnel and optional conscripted cavalry.

This is correct, except that a talon is 125 soldiers and a scale is 25. See p. 36 of the main Core book.

The "flight" is missing, which is a formation of several dragons + support personnel and probably the most common way for legion soldiers to get deployed.
