Video Games Legend of You: Breath of the Wild

That IS true, but there's something absoluetly mad about having ostriches suddenly run at you. Crazy flipping things!
Yeah but as Hylian birds go they're pretty calm.

Oh wow. I'd heard they went mental but I'd not even thought to check. I learned my lesson about not messing with cucoo's back in Ocarina of Time.

Cuccos have been going postal since Link to the Past, the only exception is Twilight Princess where beating on one somehow let's you take control of it for a minute or so.

I just beat the game the other day, but am still enjoying spending time in the world. I'm still finding new things even now.

I still panic and run from fully working guardians >.< I need a solid stratedgy for whalloping them.
Assuming you don't have ancient arrows handy...
Shoot them in the eye anyway and then wail on their arm, tentacle things, if you have the Master Sword it gets pumped up against any guardians.

I'm with you there! They are crazy fast! I thought they were just strong with the beams the first time I met one..very wrong, but I agree with Natealie, gotta clinch and move! Best of luck!

The arrow to the eye works? Huh. Must of screwed that up when I first stumbled across the ones in the starting area.
Thank you all for the advice :) I'll give it all a try tomorrow after work.

Technically it's a guardian arrow to the eye. Preferably with a Guardian Bow, but I do have a bit of a set up I'll admit. If you're having trouble aiming then the airborn time stop thingy works here and just feels awesome in general.

Also I'm playing right now.

With all of your kinds words to heart I took on the fell mechanicisms and prevailed (Only dying once due to a stupid moment on my part, leaping down into a arial swipe is all well and good until you hit the ground from too high up, d'uh) and the shrine at the end of the Lost Temple (I was trying to clear out) rewarded me with enough to once more raise the Master Sword high and cheer loudly. :D

Finally caught up with Dinraal and entered Hyrule Castle, running about like a headless chicken looking for the Hylian Shield.

....I'd been ingoring sorting Cherry out. Having just done that my eyeballs nearly bugged out of my head.
I mean, yay for the stuff I've now got access too but HOLY MOLY my wallet hurts

Dropped by the Ranch Ruins, found the hole in the tower you crawl in through in OoT and rode a lap around what was left of the corral for old times sake.

I only have one shrine left till I finish all of the shrines in the game and it is so unbelievably annoying trying to find it...

I was innocently travelling over the mountains around the canyons to the Gerudo Desert, casually paragliding around (the usual) and saw large rock perfect for paragliding off of. Whoopsies, I just landed on a Stone Talus with no food left.

I forgot I didn't have the Paraglider at the time so I tried jumping off the cliff you're put on after the first cutscene that initiates after leaving the Shrine of Ressurection.

Sorry Zelda.

Probably the most anxiety-inducing Breath of the Wild moment I've had was when I was running around trying to get melee weapons (I'd squandered all my decent ones) when suddenly my horse and I are surrounded by 3 Guardians - keep in mind, I have no ancient weapons or even ancient arrows.

I'm making this poor horse sprint at top speed for as long as possible, and I somehow manage to get away from them... Only to land in an area with even more Guardians. Yipee.

Oooh Grim! Here endeth the Legend of Link, Hero of Hyrule, tragically fell to his death hehe. Let's be fair how many times has that happened to all of us at some point.

I also envy your dodging skills Empathetically! If I'm ever fleeing anything on horseback I end up running said horse into something that means it stops and I get into trouble fast.

Recently I had a rather interesting moment running around in Hyrule Castle and looking at an open area, clear of antyhign nasty and went 'I bet if I step in there I'll suddenly end up in a mini-boss fight' and as I turned to move away fell into said area.
I was right about mini-boss. *sigh*
