"Anyone know how to activate this? Any ideas?" Conner asked, forgeting about the one remaining strange. At this point he was searching for a switch, pressing things that pooked like buttons, even said "On" and "Activate" not sure what would work.
8 was the first to get a look at moonsetters (intimidating) character. he had to remind himself. 'it takes all kinds to make a universe' he stepped back once or twice. the air was cold around her.
"greetings there missus. purveyin' the bosses collection are we?"
She rubbed her chin slightly. "What an interesting piece of machinery...." She said while looking at them. "My home planet is mostly composed of machines. Perhaps i can see what i can do?" She said clamly while looking at the people. "Ah. How rude of me. My name is Elise. And my shim, Blind Prophet, is not too far from here."
She kicks it hard. "Wake up you stupid lump of iron." She turns to the girl she so pretty and cover her face. "Hi Elise nice to meet another girl after all this time I've spent with dudes."
"hangin' out with these dudes was your own choice" he pointed out. "half of the populations a woman, you must've been avoiding them", he says searching for an on button on the 'pan-zer'.
"I do not advise kicking this machine. From the looks of it, it may have a few dangerous weapons on it." She said while lightly touching it. "If im correct, some sort of activation mechanism is within it's paneling. So if you can find the so called 'key' for this then it will start."
"It's hard to meet girl who just wanna talk when I worked at a bar and then lived on the cheap side so all the girl I met were high, drunk, or just cruel" She snaps at him before turning to Elise. "A key huh..crap does that mean we have to go back to where we got it from."
"WOrk you god dam* piece of sh*t!" Conner said. Great, a key. Well it wouldn't be that far fetched. "We give it a try. Cover him back up and grab a gun. We might have to shoot our way in."
"Well it could be anything from an actual key to a computer chip to just a puzzle piece. But if im correct it will fill this hole perfectly and that will activate it." She said while finding the activation slot.
She turned to the male and glared slightly. "From that talk you all seem to have no care for machines. They aren't objects you know." She said while turning back to it. "This would be a living embodiment. It could have a mind of its own for all we know."
"but we won't know 'till it talks, its built to survive a good jolt!" he pointed at it again. "we wouldn't hurt it!" he felt that was at least a good back-up plan, and started unplugging idle (high power) system wires. ready to wake it like a heart attack victim.
She rolls her eyes. "It's not going to work if you just jolt it. You need the key. Now stop your arguing and go find it. Obviously this technology doesn't belong to you all so i advise listening to what i say."
"an i advise gettin' a scanner, findin' the two most appropriate bits to burn, an doing so, i wasn't just gonna put em' anywhere!" he didn't like how snobbish this alien was, its built for battle! this is the least it should survive!
and he didn't like the thought of risking any skin over finding a key they might not need. he ran after a small outdated cargo-scanner.
She raised an eyebrow making the air around become colder. "And why would you avoid the safest and most logical way of doing this? Can you imagine what dangers can happen if you mess with this machine? It would end up destroying you as well as the rest of this ship."
"because most things are simpler than people think" he smiled. "i promise, i'll stop if i can' handle it, ok?"
the cargo scanner actually picked up something if you put it right at the key hole, else the armour just stopped it. he took a look at the chip the key plunged into, he recognised it, he smiled. "this'll jus' be like picking a lock!" he assured her.
he brought the cables over, and took the ends off them. revealing a bundle of wires, he found the two he was looking for, pulled them out further and held them up to the lock.
"Back up." Conner said, taking cover behind the wall. "And if yo can't take care of it, I will kill you myself." Conner said. He was a bit conflicted. If they activated it this way, they would have to deactivate it that way to. "And I may have a hunch on where the key is, just incase."
((By the way once the key is inside you'll never be able to deactivate him cause the key will be stuck inside that slot. Also the electric won't work.))
