Raleigh stood at the front of her driveway, two dogs on either side of her. She had a clipboard in hand and a no nonsense look on her face. Watching the participants unload off of the bus, she waited for them to all be lined up in front of her, smiling at them. She was in ripped and faded jeans with a white button up and her brown and orange cowboy boots with a matching brown cowboy hat.

"Alrighty then! Welcome to everyone to Last Hope Ranch. I'm gonna go over some things before you get comfortable. My name is Raleigh Eleanor Jackson. You can call me Raleigh, Ms. R or Ma'am. Here's my story and why I started this; at the age of 14 my little sister got involved with a city gang and at the age of 16 she did a driveby and killed someone. She's locked up for the rest of her life, my baby sister. I decided to move out to the country and turn my passion for horses into a life changing program for youth like you! Now, you can think anything you want about me but I've never had a kid leave here without telling me I changed their life. You're gonna hate me at first but I will turn you life around for the better and you're all gonna have to work together to do it. No one graduates alone. Come in as a group and leave as one.

Okay, enough of my story, to the rules, horse assignments, questions and then a contraband check.

1. Respect myself and all of my staff

2. Must be up by 6 am

3. Must be in bed by 10 pm (no exceptions, if there's a problem see me)

4. You are not allowed off the property without written permission

5. Horse care and barn chores are to be done first

Now if that's all understood, here's a bit of run down of contraband, no drugs, alcohol, electronics, that includes cell phones, iPods, laptop, etc., special note, musical instruments will be
earned back, we will take them for now and give them back based on good behavior.

Moving on! Horses, they are your main priority here, feed them, brush them, bond with them and we will teach you how to work with them. Oscar L, LHR Misty Mountains aka Monty! Kayla B, LHR Sweet Treat aka Caramel! Luvia J, LHR Miniver's Dancer aka Minnie! Oliver L, LHR Rough and Tumblr aka Butch! Antonio S, LHR Wisp of a Dream aka Whisper! Sky W, LHR Take it All The Way aka Max! Blythe J, LHR Star of the Show aka Star! Bane P, LHR HeyBeyBe aka Bey or BeyBe! Rosalie T, LHR Light Show aka Aurora or Rory! Alexander K, LHR Make it Through aka Saturday!

Whoo! Alright, I talk a lot, I know. So, one more thing then I'm gonna leave this open to any questions. See these three big dogs by me? No, the terrier pup doesn't count. I might not be able to catch you if you run but they will and I have been given permission to use non lethal weapons on any escaping participant. Now... questions?"

[Okay, that was a SUPER long post, sorry guys, just wanted to get it all out of the way so it didn't take up too much time.]

As the ranch pulled into view, Rosalie got the vibe that this place was the equivalent of a prison. Miles away from home, in a bus full of people she couldn't care less about and the every growing stench of country. Everyone knew the smell of the country. Regardless, whatever pessimistic thoughts Rosalie had wouldn't change the fact she'd be forced to spend however many days here, completely and utterly disconnected from everything she had ever grown up around. Luckily, she had gotten a seat by herself and as she rested her brown head against the window, she came to realize that a shape could be made in the distance.

So this person was waiting for them, huh?

In a few minutes, it was time to unload and Rosie was the first one to get off, carrying her guitar and duffle bag. She took in the woman's appearance, how she seemed to be the ideal stereotype of the all-western cowgirl. The girl had to resist rolling her eyes, throwing her duffle bag on her feet, moving around to sit on top of it. Out of sheer annoyance for her brown curls, she hitched her hair up into a messy bun, looking as bored as she was ever going to get. As soon as everyone was off the bus, the woman began barking her rules. Rules. Rose's worst enemy. She lived to break them, not live by them. Briefly, as the woman spoke, she wondered what interest her parents had found in this woman's idea of a camp meant for the teenagers who had no more hope. Hell, the name of this program spoke for itself. Last Hope ranch. Didn't that imply that the woman didn't really have much hope to begin with? Did it mean that if they didn't come out of this a 'changed person' that they were goners for life?

Rosalie wasn't liking this. Not one bit.

Once the woman, calling herself Raleigh, finished speaking, a taut smile curled Rosie's lips, nothing friendly about it, more fatigued by the rather long trip accommodated by nearly unbearable heat. "So this is pretty much jail, but instead of being locked behind bars, we have dogs running us down and miles and miles of scorching heat, right?" She spoke, her voice thick with an English accent acquired from having been born in the town of Leeds, having moved to America just over two years ago. She looked around, briefly making eye contact with a few of her fellow 'comrades'. Her icy cerulean orbs fell back upon their, what Rosie was now going to call, chef. "I can deal with that. Though I don't think the waking up at six is going to work for me, I've got this condition where I forget that any hour before eleven in the morning exists." She announced, her sarcastic smile wiped from her countenance, leaving a vague look of bored amusement dancing in her eyes.

Might as well make the best of it, right?

Luvia:

Lulu hated the idea of going to the middle of no where, where it's scorching hot. She had know idea why here parent sent her here. She sat back in the ugly bus seats she was forced to sit in. She huffed, just as the Ranch came into view. She blew a piece of hair out of her face. the bus came to abrupt stop. she sighed as she started to get off the stupid bus. Lulu wasn't used to the doing things for her self. This is going to be a BIG change. Lulu walked right off the bus, only grabbing her purse and her chap stick, she was going to need a lot of it. She huffed once more and hopped off the bus. There, standing about 3 or 4 meters away from here was a girl. She was wearing the typical country girl outfit. She rolled her eyes. Then the girl starts to talk, she really wasn't listening to anything she said, the only thing she heard was weapons, but they weren't lethal so she quieted down. Lulu Shifted from one foot to the other. She was getting bored and she really had to pee.

Sky:

Sky sat patiently on the bus. She was excited for her first day at LHR. She starts to shake her legs. The anticipation was killing her. A small excited smile tugging at her thin pink lips. She used to always ride her horses when she was younger, but that was before they were forced to move because her dad spent it all on gambling money, life sucks doesn't? Sky fixes her blonde hair, moving the blue beanie she had on around a little bit. After the bus came to a stop, Sky was the second person to get off. She just couldn't handle her excitement. She looked at all the scenery with a twinkle in her eyes. turned and look at the women who was talking to the people who had arrived with her on the same bus, she wondered what they did to end up here. She knows she's had her problems, but she wants to get better, so does her parents so that's why they sent her here. Sky listened to the girl intently, then she heard her horse's name, she got super excited, and started to jump up and down, some people gave her weird looks and starts but she didn't care.

@SetMeFree Sorry It's soo short..))

Oscar & Oliver Lennan

The young brunette leaned his head on Antonio's shoulder with his eyes shut as the bus came closer in view to 'Last Hope Ranch'. Oliver sat behind Antonio and his younger brother, Oscar. Oscar and his older brother, Oliver, wounded up here because they were simply trying to make money. Well his brother stole money technically but what was so wrong with conning people out of their money? If they were stupid enough to bet money in a game most people never win then they deserve to get their money token away by people like Oscar. At least that was Oscar's opinion. Oscar's older brother would be in jail right now if it weren't for his nice social worker that swayed the courts decision.

As the bus came to a stop Oscar lifted his head up and rubbed his eyes. Oliver stood up and ruffled Oscar's hair as he passed by with a smug grin. Oscar patted down his hair with a pouty look as he got up out of the uncomfortable seat and followed right behind his older brother. Oscar looked over his shoulder quickly to see if Antonio was behind him and no surprise at all, he was. Oscar wasn't as mopey as everybody else seemed to be about coming to this place; he had his boyfriend and his older brother here with him so it wouldn't be that much of a drag. Oliver hopped down as he exited the bus and lined up with everyone else; Oscar lined up beside his brother of course. While Oscar actually listened to the redheaded lady, Oliver zoned out for a few seconds but he heard loud and clear about the rule of no electronics. He made a 'tch' sound hearing that; this place just got worse according to Oliver. Oliver turned his head to look at the girl who was complaining about waking up early. "Well looks like we have ourselves a queen bee, great just what I needed to go along with this hell hole ranch." He was of course being sarcastic, Oliver couldn't stand preppy girls with attitude. He dated a lot and finally got sick of them, they were more trouble than they were worth in his opinion.

[[i'm sorry @SomberHeart! I don't mean it, your character is wonderful >~< ]]

Antonio~

Antonio sighed and rested his head back on the seat as his lover rested his on Antonio's shoulder. He had his arms wrapped around Oscar and cuddled him close while smiling at how cute he looked when he was sleeping.Antonio had always felt safer when he was with Oscar but, still didn't know why he just did. When the bus came to a stop,he took a quick glance out of the window then got up and stretched. He walked up behind Oscar and wrapped his arms around his waste. He wasn't really listening to her until she said something about no drinking or smoking....this was going to be hard.Antonio grunted when she said that and held Oscar a little tighter then rested his head softly on top of his hair.He sighed and blew a puff of air at the girl who was complaining about waking up.Antonio didn't have a problem waking up..if he was sober. He wasn't really talking right now because he had half of a drink before coming here and was going to finish it all until Oscar snatched it away from him and poured it out.He smirked at what Oscar's brother said knowing that he hated them as well but, only acknowledged it in his head for now.

Alexander~

Alex sighed as he finished up the last picture he was drawing on the bus and stuck the book into his backpack. When the bus came to a stop,Alex bounced up a bit from the bump then got up and was the last one to get off of the bus.He looked at the crowd of people and saw a girl that were in front of them but, really couldn't see the female over everyone. He sighed, which made his hair blow up a bit and slid to the side so he could see her better. He didn't really have anything to saw against what the rules were as long as they didn't take his drawing book he would be fine and dandy.

Kayla sat alone on the bus, listening to her music. She was laying on the bus seat, moving her feet to the rhythm."A nation controlled by the media!" She sang along to her music, tuning out all of the rude comments sent her way.Suddenly the bus stopped, sending her onto the floor."Mmmppphhhh" she mumbled, her face smushed on the floor.

Kayla got up,saying "Oww" and rubbing her hip.She reached under her seat, grabbing her green suitcase and guitar case. She walked off of the bus, into a small crowd of people. She looked around for any supervision, curious about where she could dump her stuff.

Blythe had her earphones blasting music into her ears as she sat in the back of the bus with a bored look on her face as she waited for the bus to stop. She had her knees up to her chest as she hugged her legs and nodded her head to the music. Even though she had hacked her way into the government and been caught 2 months after, it was only because she had gotten bored of running away... she thought she would've been put into jail but then she was told she had to go to some ranch and take care of horses. Her long pale blonde hair fell down to her elbow was something that she had gotten from her mother while pale blue/grey eyes were from her father's side of the family. Some times she didn't really like the pale skin that she'd gotten from her Grandma but she didn't like to say anything about it since its irrelevant to anything.

"Coffee..." Blythe mumbled to herself as she tapped her fingers against her leg, man she needed some and hoped that there would be some at this ranch place... she would probably go crazy if there wasn't any coffee.

"Finally," Blythe huffed as she got out of the bus when it stopped, she tried not to bump into anyone while hoping that there wasn't going to be any drama here. Coffee... she needed coffee or candy.

Trump! Thump! Guh-dung!

He thought it was the rattling that woke him up, but as he blinked away the sleep, Bane realized he had been awakened by the gentle tug of inertia pulling his body forward into the seat in front of him as the bus rolled to a painful stop. They must have finally reached their destination, and as far as the sleepy teenager could discern, it was not a pleasant one. He slipped his headphones down onto his neck and lifted his head from off his arm, rubbing at his hairline and grimacing at the strong sunlight. From inside the bus, Bane could see nothing but dirt, stretching for miles upon miles. Set in the distance, a dinky, lopsided farmhouse with multiple stories leered down at the convicts makeshift limousine, promising them exactly as much fun as it looked like they were going to have. The dark haired Italian boy crinkled his eyebrows in irritation as he rose, stretched his arms high despite his protesting muscles. This was just going to be balls of great goodness, he could already feel it. He plodded after the rest of the kids, feeling very much like he figured the caboose of a herd of cattle must feel. Ah yes, he thought, wrinkling his nose as the hot sun smacked him in the face, so much fun.

Bane waited quietly as the rules were read off. This was far from his first rodeo; the teen had been in and out of halfway houses and teen reformer programs since the tender age of twelve. Everything the woman stated was pretty run of the mill; no weapons, electronics, drugs, drinking etc. He was a bit surprised when she said no instruments, and he felt a small ball of apprehension begin to build in the pit of his stomach. The only thing Bane had brought with him besides his clothes, shoes and cell phone was his B-Foot, pro make, open hole Geminehardt flute. The boy didn't like to brag, but he fancied himself the next James Gallway. He was dedicated to few things, but his flute was very special to him and he'd be damned if he was going to put it in that bag of garbage. Talk about a prime target for theft. He shifted uncomfortably as ruckus was aroused, glancing curiously toward the girl who started the trouble. Thin, brunette, large blue eyes and a snippy attitude to boot. Bane briefly wondered if it would be a good idea to make some sort of truce with her. She seemed like the type to start all kinds of junk.

The next person who spoke up made Bane smile softly to himself; a sassy looking boy this one was. There would be friction between these two. Sighing exaggeratedly, Bane drawled, his voice only hinting at the accent of his home county, "Look lady, Raleigh, let's all get one thing straight alright? First of all, you need to improve a little on your "oh so scary" presentation. The cowboy get up just isn't doing it for ya. Any real cowgirl would know, clearly, those boots are about as "country" as the chinese sweat shop they came out of." He folded his arms over his chest defiantly, narrowing his eyes.

Raleigh laughed and got right up in Rosalie's face. "This is not jail, this is an opportunity. You'll find that we have lovely weather all year round, never too hot, never too cold. Clearly that's not a medical condition, so I don't care about it," she said in her drillmaster voice. "If you don't follow the rules here, you will not return home, you will not pass go and you will not collect two hundred dollars. You will go straight to jail for the max amount of time possible for the crime you committed and your age. This right here is your last hope." While she remained in front of Rose, she was speaking to all of them, voice more than loud enough for everyone to here. "Loose your attitude girl, it's gon' fly here."

At the sound of Oliver's voice, she whipped around to walk over to him, standing in front of him, just as close as she had with Rose. "She's not queen bee around here, I am and you are all my workers. You'll learn to get along, whether you want to or not. You have to, to leave my property." From the corner of her eye she saw a jumping figure and she backed away from Oliver to look at Sky. "Girl, calm yourself. This is not a field trip to Disneyland. If you're excited, we have a lot of work to do."

She stared them all down for a moment, she sure as hell had her work cut out for her with this group. Without another word, she brought Polo to each of there bags, waiting for him to signal the smell of tobacco, alcohol or other drugs. When he didn't sit at any bag and only hesitated at Antonio, she gave them all a satisfied look then reached for a stack of large ziplock baggies, each with the first and last name of everyone in front of her. "Alright, here's the deal, you put everything that's against the rules,
including all electronics, in these bags. Then, I get to invade your space to make sure you're not hiding anything from me. If you brought an instrument with you, please hand it in with this bag, I promise it will be returned to you safely and depending on your behavior, during the course of your stay here."

Raleigh handed out the proper bag to each person and then stood to watch them search their things. "Sooner you get this done, the sooner you can go to the guest house, duke it out for your rooms and then continue on with dinner and going to bed. If I forgot to mention this earlier and any of you are thick enough to have brought them, no weapons, at all. If they're here, they're mine now, turn those in too."

She turned on a heel, fire in her eyes at Bane's words. "I don't suggest runnin' that or anything similar by me ever again," she said as she strutted over to him. "These are custom made and made in the USA. You have clearly never been to a horse show, boy. Those boots are flashier than these and three times as expensive. I ain't trying to scare ya, this isn't scared straight. This is get your act together before you're thrown in jail. I might break you down but I will not scare you cause that never works with those like you."

Blythe couldn't help but listen to everything that was happening, she was a bit annoyed that there was already a bit of drama here because she wanted to hurry up and get on with this.

"Is there any coffee or candy here?" That was something that she wanted to know, everything else was something she had been prepared for so she didn't really get involved with what everyone was saying. She stuffed her hands into her pocket with a bored look on her face as she didn't look at anyone's face beside the woman named Raleigh.

"Also, I'm gonna guess and say that we can't chill outside or anything?" Blythe also added with a tilt of her head.

Bane frowned, clearly offended not by the fact that this woman dared snap at him, but by her accusation that he had never been to a real show. "I'll have you know, Raleigh, that I have studs at home whose shit is worth three times this dump. I've been around the hunter circuit more times than I can count." He drew back into himself then, irritated, and listened as the blonde girl whined about coffee. "I doubt they have anything worth eating here," he shot toward her, stewing now.

Kayla walked towards the Instructor,Raleigh "Excuse me,but..." She motioned towards her guitar case and headphones "I can't be without my music.I'll go into an angry rage, or not communicate.I need my music,so..." She proclaimed, biting her lip afterwards. She knew people wouldn't believe her,but both had actually happened.Kayla looked to the lady, hoping to get a positive answer.

( @SetMeFree )

Raleigh shook her head, laughing at Bane. "Actually, I can guarantee you that this place is worth more to the state than your stud farm is. And I was right, you haven't been to a western show. Cut the attitude, it's not gonna get you anywhere useful with me. Get off your high horse cause you're no better than the rest of them." She turned to Blythe with a gentle smile. "Coffee is served every morning, however the only candy we have are peppermints and mint lifesavers, mostly for the horses but you can sneak a few without problem, just don't take a whole bag." Raleigh was soft to those who didn't have attitude with her, she saw no reason to be rough on the ones who seemed to understand the meaning of respect. "I'm sorry, Kayla. I can't alter the rules for one participant. However, I do tend to put pandora on in the barn, so don't fret, you won't be completely without music."

Kayla's eye slightly twitched, knowing somewhere like this wouldn't play rock music. They would probably play classical, country, pop. She dropped her bags near the driveway, and then Kayla sat on the ground. She brought her knees to her chest and began to slightly rock herself, singing "American Idiot" By Green Day.Her eye continued to twitch, and she probably wouldn't talk to anyone until she got her good, rock music back.Like back 24/7,not just in the dusty old barn.

"I bet she's going to lock us up." She mumbled to the girl who'd asked if they could hang you outside. "Wouldn't surprise me."

Rosie watched with deviously amused eyes the showdown between a few of the kids and Chef. She was glad there were other people out in this world with strong personalities and enjoyed having the last word just as much as she did. Her eyes glanced over at some emo looking boy, the one with a tongue similar to hers. She studied him for a few moments, thinking that he wasn't all that bad. Tall. He was tall and Rosalie had always preferred tall over short.

Sick and tired of sitting down, she got up, grabbed the case of her guitar in which contained nothing other than an actual guitar as ell as her duffle bag. She walked over to Raleigh and dumped her case beside her. "Here ya go, Chef." Her bitter voice cut the thin air before a graceful and easy smile uplifted her countenance as she began walking toward the stables. She turned on her heel and looked at the group and extended her arms out. "Well, what are ya'll waiting for?" She asked, faking the southern accent. "Let's get settled in, shall we?" The false enthusiasm was more than obvious as she waited for at least someone to come and join her. Were they all scared of one cowgirl? There was nothing scary about he country, not if you knew the things that went on in the city. She wondered if she'd eventually find some way to have fun in this nauseating place. The smell still bothered her like no other.

He decided argument was futile. This thick, country bumpkin was not one to reason, and though the stubborn part of him wanted to argue, he knew that forming a resistance and working to over ride this womans authority would only make his stay miserable. Bane preferred to speak and stand up only when needed; he preferred to battle in subtle ways.

The boy watched in distaste as the weird girl had an internal breakdown over her weaning from rock music. Bane loved music, just as much as any teenager. But he wasn't going to present himself as the weakest link as this girl was so melodramatially doing. He shook his head and let out a sigh. What kind of characters was he mushed in with here?

The girl who had started all the fuss, Rosalie he thought her name was, began to talk again. It seemed to him that everything says was a ploy to get a rise out of the lady in charge. A rebellious part of him admired it. The sensible part of him warned him not to get involved. Unfortunately for him, that part of his brain was a bit hazy from the heat. So as Rosalie commenced in stalking off toward the barn, he found himself following. The excuse he asuured himself with was that he was tired of standing in one spot; to an outsider he was sure it looked like he was just as much a trouble maker as Rosalie.

"Also, you're allowed to hang outside as much as you want. There's a lot to do outside and most of your work will be outside. However the guest house has a porch and there's a fire pit in the back of the main house. Feel free to lounge about when you have no more work to do." Raleigh didn't budge when Rosalie spoke to her, taking the guitar and ziplock, setting the down next to her. However when she started walking to the barn, which had been padlocked for the time being, she jerked her head toward her and Bane. "Mo, get 'em." Without hesitation the South African Mastiff got in front of the two, growling and barking, drool going everywhere. "He will bit you," she said over his noise. "You are not running this show. I am. You are not allowed in the barn without supervision. You're staying in the guest house, I would suggest rerouting."

Rosalie couldn't help a smile when she saw someone follow her, the smile soon turning into a small smirk when she realized that it was the tall boy whose name she couldn't remember, not that she'd been listening all that much to begin with. Though when the big dog came, all bark and no bite, now the brunette was royally pissed off. "What kind of program is this?!" She exclaimed, making her way toward the guest house. "If we go to the barn, we get bitten by dogs and we're not allowed to have our instruments or music. That's like if we took all of your dogs and stupid horses away and told you that you weren't going to get them back until you proved yourself worthy. Whatever that means!" Clearly, the girl had some issues with her temper, and the crappy bus ride hadn't help her cause at all. Truth be told, Rosie was partly acting it up. She figured that in groups like these, there always needed to be a bad guy and she didn't have a problem playing the role. If she could somehow manage to prevent bouts of drama and instead have others complain about her behind her back, then they all could get out of this place a little quicker.

An odd way to look at things, but this camp wasn't for those with logic.

She turned on her heel and made her way to the guest house, gripping her duffle bag as she bit back any rude, irrelevant comments that would surely have her sleeping outside by the end of tonight or something ridiculous of the sort. She hated the country. It was nothing like the 'wild west' she'd thought it had been. "I feel bad for the group you're going to be in, because of you, they're never going to get out." Her sister's last words burned in her mind as she walked into the guest house and picked he room she dibbed the best according to her own tastes and sat down on the edge and simply stared down at the floor, letting her hair out again; she could never stick to just a ponytail or just keeping her hair down.

Oliver & Oscar Lennan

Oliver had found himself quite amused at the show that was displayed before him. Already teens were acting up and stepping out of line. And he couldn't believe for once in his life the one acting up wasn't him. Oliver pursed his lips lightly as he turned his head towards his younger brother and Antonio ho was hanging all over Oscar which made Oliver frown a bit in there direction. Antonio was a good guy but Oscar was his younger brother so he had to be overly-protective about who he chose to date. Oliver picked up his bag as he yelled over to Oscar. "Hey come on, lets go get settled in Oz." Oscar turned his attention to his brother just in time to watch him walk away. "Lets go Antonio. I don't like staying outside very long." Oscar turned his head over slightly to look up at the taller male. He gave a small smile before getting out of Antonio's grasp and picking up his only bag then swinging it over his shoulder with ease. Oscar waited for Antonio the when he was ready, Oscar grabbed his hand and began following behind his older brother as he walked beside Antonio.

[[ I know it's short >~< don't judge me~! ]]

Antonio~

Antonio smirked at all of the people talking, especially the girl who was a bit..well full of herself a lot.He sighed and stood up straight standing beside his lover and looked a the short girl and the dog who stopped at his bag for a minute then went to the other people's belongings.Antonio rocked back and forth on his heels as he watched the people complain about dumb stuff and didn't really care about what they were complaining about at all.Half of these people,if we were there, wouldn't make it through a camp out let alone staying on a farm...he thought to himself. He looked over at Oliver then to Oscar and nodded"Mmk babe.."he said to him and picked up his bags.He sighed a bit and kissed Oscar's nose before taking his hand and walking inside of the place"Pretty big...."he said out loud.He looked around some more and wondered where the rooms where and all.'

(Don't Have Much More To say lolz
xD )
Alexander~

Alex rocked back and forth on his toes and heel holding his backpack straps. He watched the dog go by him and petted his head which earned him a lick on the hand.He watched it go to the next people and sighed a little as the people were still fussing about it.He didn't really see anything wrong with staying here and all they had to do was do work and care for a horse?!It couldn't get more awesome than that but,of course people had their opinions way opposite than his. When he saw people go in,Alex went in as well and looked around seeing that it was pretty huge.He only had three bags and one of his bags was mostly his art stuff, the others were clothes and special things. He sat his bag down where he felt it was comfortable to be sat down at and huffed out some air. This was going to be the beginning of a longg event.
