Realistic or Modern Large scale FXF RP?

It'd be the first one I see on RPN ... when you say 'large scale' how large would it be? Would there be a hardline plot or a spread and mingle kind of roleplay? Apologies if the questioning is excessive > . <

The (Not So) Evil Mastermind
The RP is 'boarding school' themed, inspired by series like Maria sama Ga Miteiru and take ideas from series like Enid Blyton's St. Clare and Malory Towers.
Large as in the setting of the world, the number of NPCs and hopefully also the number of players and characters. Each character has the chance to be the star of their own show for there is no exact plotline, mostly about the characters interacting with one another (IE. Student A encounters a hardship, she developed as a character while other students has the chance to help her)
The only 'plot points' in the RP would be rivaly between student departments and the urban legends in the academy.
