Jax's initial reaction toward this angered man is 'maybe he should have a snickers' but then things escalated from there. 'Whoring around?' Jax's brows rose in a questioning way as he accused his sister of such nonsense. Him grabbing Dani and pulling her up in such a violent manor was almost enough to make Jax snap though he keeps calm incase he's missing something. That's up til she's named a slut and at that moment Jax speaks up. "Yo, she isn't your property so hands off." The man was standing by the time Dani had begun to try getting away from her brother and as the guy kept moving Jax soon grabs hold of the blonde's shoulder. "How 'bout we take a breath?" He suggests in a deep, nearly threatening tone. His brotherly instinct had kicked in by now.

Brec smiled when she heard Scott say the restaurant they were going to was just an old diner. She was relieved it wasn't some high class expensive place. Their portions are small and just outrageous. She grabbed his hand and pulled him to the diner. "As long as they have big portions of food I am so down for eating here. The places my parents go to suck...they cost so much and they give you something so small...it stupid..." She said then looked up at him. They entered the old diner and got a booth seat near the window. The waitress came over and greeted them then gave them menus and asked if they wanted anything to drink. "I would like a strawberry lemonade please..." She tells her then smiles before looking at Scott.

Cody sneered at Jax, "Just cause she slept with you doesn't mean that you have to be heroic." He turned to Dani, "And a common street rat? I thought you would know better. You're probably diseased." Surprisingly Dani stopped struggling and then sneered at her brother, "Please, you're getting sick a lot. Probably AIDS. After all, you can't hold your liquor or keep it in your pants." At that her brother smacked her across the face. Hard.

It took everything for Jax to stand there and bite his tongue. The only thing he liked more than tattoos, fighting. This would be a great opportunity had his sister not been at the table a couple feet away or the girl which he was crushing on had been in the same room. Both are contributing factors and yet the more this guy talked the harder it becomes for him to keep his cool which isn't normal for Jax. He almost never looses his temper.


Jax still holds onto Dani's brother's shoulder and smirks as the girl sticks up for herself. It seemed that she had him stumped up until his hand flew across her face.


Snap.


In seconds Jax had grabbed onto her brother's arm and twisted it roughly behind his back. Bringing his face against Cody's ear he whispers a rather deadly warning. "Touch her again and I swear I'll break your hands and then your face." He said this much too quietly for Dani or his sister to hear. This was no longer the laid back, kind Jax but the darker and much meaner side.

Dani watches as Jax pins her brothers arm. She gasped and stumbled back as her brother was forced to let go of her. The dark look on Jax's face makes her heart beat faster and she can see his lips move. Her brother pales and nods his head. And her heart beats faster as she sees Jax like that. He is so perfect... Yep, she thought it was the sweetest thing that he was protecting her, and the intense look on his face was hot. Suddenly she saw that Phoebe was about to get out of the booth, and assuming Jax wouldn't want Phoebe to see this, she goes and successfully distracts the girl.


Cody nods at Jax's whispered words, "Okay, okay, you're hurting me! Let go!" He squirms which of course makes the hold hurt worse.

Brec chuckled seeing Scott relax when the waitress left to get their drinks. "You're always so stiff when it comes to being around other people...I like how when you're around me you're all weird and goofy..." She tells him while making a goofy face. She laughed and looked around the diner. "I like the look of this place and hopefully the food is good too...I'm a huge fan of burgers...and I don't think an expensive french restaurant has those...I hate how my parents think that those are the best places to get food from..." She said and looked at her hands. "Anyway enough about that...how was the rest of your day?" She asked.

He chuckles at her ramblings and relaxes even more, "Pretty good. I had my friend, Dani, text me that she can finally get her tattoo and it's such an amazing design so I'm very excited. It'll be one of the best I've ever done." he speaks excitedly. He always gets so passionate about tattoos and couldn't help himself when he thinks he has a good design to do.

Jax hadn't realized exactly how far he had taken this but apparently it had worked for when he glanced over Dani was free from his hold and Phoebe was okay. "I think we should have a little chat." He says this more like himself than the darkness in which had seeped out. Jax let go of the guy and stood up straight, arms crossed against his chest. "First of all, let's have a proper introduction. My name's Jaxon Sanders, the street rat, and I suppose that you're Cody the douchebag who enjoys beating on his little sister. Now that that's out of our way, I'd like to know your motives for doing what you just did. I mean, who the hell storms into an old timey sandwich shop where everyone comes to relax and expect to get away with what you did? Not too bright." He isn't even trying to aggrivate Cody, it was just natural and besides Jax couldn't care less at this point.

Cody glares at Dani but goes back to look at Jax, "She isn't my full sister! She's my half-sister and I don't see how she deserves respect at all. She sleeps around a lot, so don't think you're special. All my friends have slept with her. And she just milks my dad for money all the time." The way he answered was kind of shady and vague. Besides, Dani showed a strong dislike of using her parents money earlier, which of course, Cody couldn't know.

Watching the boy shoot daggers off in Dani's direction Jax clears his throat and waits for a response. "You see that little girl over in that booth? Had you have glared at her like you do your sister I would have broken that pretty little face of yours right here, right now. She isn't my full sister and yet I watch out for her. You don't see me taking my frustration out on a child. Plus, how is it that people's respect relies on how many people they've slept with? I don't give two shits. And as for the money, I bet you have a few hundreds in your pockets right now from your daddy so don't stand here and point the finger at anyone but yourself."


Phoebe looked in the direction of Jax's voice though couldn't see him over the other few booths. "Is everything ok?" She asks knowing when he may be getting a bit frustrated.

Brec scrunched her eyebrows at the name. "Dani? I think I know who she is...she comes to the cafe almost everyday...I didn't know she was your friend..." She tells him then saw the waitress come back and placed their drinks on the table. She took out her note pad then asked if they were ready to order. Brec picked up the menu looking at it then smiled finding what she wanted. "I'll have the bacon cheeseburger medium rare no onions, pickles, mustard or mayo and a side of the steak fries..." she tells her handing her the menu then looks at Scott. "Your turn..."

Cody gulps and looks back over at the girls. "I think it'd be best if I left..." He spoke fearfully


Dani looked at Phoebe and said, "Yeah honey. My brother just did something mean and your brother didn't like it. They're just talking." She hoped she wasn't lying.

"Sounds like a good idea." Jax agrees fully, a small smile on his lips. "Just keep in mind what I told you. Oh and try to be more creative with your insults. I do tire of being called a street rat by every snob I pass." He lets out a sigh at this and waits for Cody to make his exit.


"Ohh." Phoebe nodded her head and stays sitting at the booth. Her drawing in one hand and colors in the other.

Cody leaves and Dani looks over at Jax. She waits for him to calm down and come back. She also hoped this didn't ruin anything between them. She felt the dread well up. The reason she was single was because Cody always got them to leave her. She felt tears brim in her eyes so she let her bangs hide them.

Brec blushed when Scott complimented her. The compliment was cheesy it was the purr that sent chills down her spine. "So...about your tattoos...I was wondering if you could give me a tattoo..." She said to him ripping the paper off the straw then putting it in her drink, She rolled up the paper in to a little ball then flicked it over to him wanting to play a soccer game with their fingers. She didn't look at him but she wanted to know what his answer would be. She really wanted a tattoo, she just didn't know what to get. An anime symbol? Captain America Shield? Maybe the plain flower? She wanted to hear some ideas from Scott. Hopefully they're better than hers cause hers suck.

As soon as Cody left Jax relaxed back to his normal self. Spinning around with a relieved look, he smiles to the two girls. Getting closer he notices something off about Dani though doesn't feel the need to ask. As he came up to her, his arms wrap around her back and form a warmth filled hug. He lets go after a moment without saying a word and holds a hand out for Phoebe. His sister eagerly takes his hand and waits to be lead outside. He then looks to Dani and takes her hand as well and together he leads them both outside. No way was he letting some prick tear their friendship apart and besides he never trusted gossip.


"So, where to next?" There was a warm smile on his face as he turns his head to look at Dani.

Dani had blushed a bright red at the hug. She had been really surprised and more tears filled her eyes, but they were from relief and emotional overload. She tried to discreetly wipe her tears away as they walked outside and Dani smiled at his question, "How about the park? Phoebe can play." She kinda wanted to talk to Jax alone, clear up what Cody said.

The blush only adds to her overall beauty. Jaxon couldn't have cared less about what Cody had said though he was a bit curious. Dani just didn't come off to him as a sleep with all your friends type. Of course, rule number one on the streets is to never trust an appearance. This would be valid had he not already spent most the day with her. Either way, he was just glad to be rid of the previous nuisance. "The park sounds fine." He heads in that direction which isn't far and begins to slowly swing their arms back and forth.

"I don't know...all my drawings are kinda just anime or cartoons...but I do have this lion one and I would like to have it on my back...maybe if I show it too you later you could do it..." she tells him then flicks the ball through his fingers then smiles. "Of course I can, babe. I'm the best." He smiles and winks, "It'd be hot too." He smiles even more. Their food arrives and Scott looks at it like he's a starving man.

Brec smiled then looked at her big bacon burger. She thanked the waitress before putting the napkin over her lap. It was a force of habit. She picked up her burger looking at it then at Scott. She looked for the best spot and bit down on it. The flavors were dancing on her taste buds. She moaned a little then chewed. She finished her first bite then looked at Scott "This is amazing...so good..." She tells him then takes another bite.

He chuckles as he digs into his own food. "Glad you like it. This is my favorite diner." He eats a lot of his burger fast. He actually has really good table manners and would probably impress her parents with the way he acted at a meal. He watches her enjoy the burger and smiles. He had done well to bring her here.

"I'd chose this place over any fancy restaurant...unless it's Asian food....I love Asian food..." she took another bite of her burger before looking at Scott. She tried to stifle a laughs but couldn't. "You got a little...here I got it..." she leaned over the table wiping her thumb over the sauce that was on the corner of his mouth. She placed the thumb in her mouth licking off the sauce then gave Scott a seductive look before sitting back down and taking a sip of her strawberry lemonade. "Yummy..."
