[Labyrinth Land] LL Questions and Concerns

Dietaku

Crimson Cool Sage
Here we are! So, down to brass tacks, who wants to give me some rolls for the kingdom creation?

We pick 3 separate people for rolling names right? Then every player and the GM rolls for special traits. Guess I'll make 2 rolls then.

There is no 42 but there is a 24. So I guess we start off with the word "Holy".

"Your Kingdom is a producer, home to famous artisans. You receive a Blacksmith and a Guild (Dungeon or Item)"

[dice]6767[/dice]

So that's "Holy Fantasy".

I'm re-rolling Kingdom Traits and Skills since I got the same result as Replay.

'Your Kingdom boasts of its talented citizens. Using the Birth Table, choose a Job at random. You receive 1 Talent with that Job.' Aaaand apparently we're all amazing chefs. Imagine that.

Holy Fantasy Block!

Your Kingdom has a special custom. Roll on the Customs Table.

[dice]6777[/dice]

Your Kingdom is one of strict laws, and a long history of obedience. Increase the Order Level of the Kingdom by 1 point.

Not actually a roll, but the warrior talent East has increases the kingdom's warfare by 1 point as a permanent effect.

Looks good so far. I'll do my rolls last so everyone can try their hand at adding stuff first.

Seems the overlord merger sweep of re-invitations missed this one, @Varna @Powgow @Zyden

Like the thing with the suns. Semi wondering if you wrote them that way so they can be a sentai force later on.

So here's hoping I can actually roll this time?

Our amazing jewish alchemist ancestors allow us to make monsters to fuck peoples days up.

Looking good guys, I edited the forum so we're no longer closed. I have no idea why it was like that :\

I also added some more setting info.

>Clan of noah. Silver hair.

I see wut u did thar. So we have 5 suns...and I see mention of a moon, sky, and stars too. Guess we have those in the labyrinth instead of just more ceiling?

Since fragments of stars are an in-game item, I assumed the sky can be seen from any level, along with the celestial bodies therein. I'm tempted to write about rumors from the 'Surface" of the labyrinth, but where that would be, I'm not sure myself.

Well if it's anything like Etrian Odyssey, the labyrinth will not lack illumination until the lower depths.

It kind of is, I'm openly admitting, but I don't foresee illumination being an issue, at least not initially.

I sat down and compiled the traits we've rolled thus far here. I apologize it doesn't have cool tabs I see 'round here, but I'm not the best at coding.

Looks good to me. If you want to do the tabs coding, I'll include it in the spoiler below.

You start off with the [*tabs] then start putting in tabs. [*tab=name here] then put stuff inside [*/tab] repeat until satisfied then [*/tabs]

Edit: Come to think of it, are we actually waiting on anyone else right now? I think we have everyone who said they were interested in here so far.

Ah, thanks, Replay!

You're right, too. I just messaged the last few people, and they seem to have bowed out, which is a shame, but C'est la Vie.

Alrighty, time for my rolls.

[dice]48[/dice]

So, I rolled for resources. I then rolled a 2, so, we get...

[dice]49[/dice]

Some more citizens. Neat.

Added a new thread for the maps. We need to figure out where to put our blacksmith and the entrance. I also put up a rough known world map.

The thread is here.

So we need to decide where to place our blacksmith and guild as well as where the entrance to the place is. On the map, do the squares surrounding the palace still represent the kingdom square?

Yes, those squares are all inside the square on the known world map for HFB. Unless I'm mistaken, you can expand your kingdom into other squares by exploring and conquering/co-opting natives.

So, what lies to the north on the world map? Right now our best looking options are north or east for the main exit. Since the west is ninjas and the south is new londo a flood zone?

For the kingdom, I'm thinking of putting the blacksmith to the square immediately south of the palace?

NOBODY KNOWS. Or, rather, I couldn't think of something right off the bat. If anyone has any, I'll be open to suggestions.

Also, accusations of Dark Souls lifting can be put to rest, as I haven't played it. I do enjoy what I've seen in videos, though.

We have 4 Landmakers? I have an offline friend that I can try to convince to join if we want more PCs.
