MythyDW
Five Thousand Club
General:
-- RPN Rules apply, obviously
-- Respect each other
-- When it comes to it, the GM has the final word
-- Please keep topics such as IRL politics and religion out of the OOC. Feel free to chat about the RP and related, but keep hot-topics out
Posts:
-- One post per week minimum, more preferred!
-- One paragraph minimum, more is nice!
-- Please do your best with spelling and grammar, and don't be overly critical of the same.
-- Please push the story or conversation forward in each post
-- Third Person limited, past tense is preferred
-- If you need to take a break or drop, please let us know
-- Please tag all players whose characters are interacted with in your post
-- Let everyone have a chance at the spotlight
-- You can add set dressings and details in your post so long as they do not contradict the setting I presented to the players
Characters:
-- No Godmodding ; Any character (including creatures) that is made by someone else cannot be controlled by others without permission from the creator. The exception to this rule is by the GM in combat, where impacts can send characters flying, or they can be wrapped in vines and pinned, etc.
-- Feel free to make side NPCs as both fixtures in the character's life or as small-time interactions.
-- Even with the craziness of the setting inspiration, please keep your character's abilities reasonable
-- The character is not the player

(Will be added to as more discussion occurs)
The year is 505-1
Every 4 years, the 'cycle' number goes up by one. (Ex. 505-1,505-2,505-3,505-4, 506-1)
Year 1 is governed by Fire, and children born under this element have shades of red, yellow, and orange eyes
Year 2 is governed by Earth, giving children earthen and green tones of eyes
Year 3 is governed by Air, giving shades of white to gray eyes
Year 4 is governed by Water, giving shades of blue for eyes
The monthly cycle is named for the dominant constellation in the mythical cycle.
1-Seed-Sedas
2-Tree-Tretan
3-Fruit-Frutan
4-Beast-Betan
5-Man-Matan
6-Anvil-Anvos
7-War-Wavos
8-Shadow-Shavos
9-Dawn-Dawvos
10-Kin-Kindas
11-Love-Lodas
12-Child-Chidas
The month one is born does have a small effect on personality, but it's never one singular thing for everyone.
Day cycle -> Mondos, Tuenad, Wednas, Thurdat, Fridna, Sastur, Sudat
In this world, Specialists are monster slayers and soldiers without compare. They all possess a large wellspring of barrier, which is the magic of this world. Barrier is both a shield always active when you are conscious and aware of danger, and the resource used to activate kinship magic. Some may have enough of a wellspring to take a tank shell fully unscathed and have enough left over to cleave the whole armored machine in half.
Kinship magic is founded on the principle of kinship with monsters. Without getting too deep into the specifics, once an aspirant bonds with their kinship monster, they will be able to use kinship magic. This includes evocation (telekinesis, fireballs, etc), transformation (growing claws, spines, etc), aspects (granting speed, power, etc) and enchantment (affecting equipment with various effects)
