Tiguidi
That one guy
The boy pursed his lips when he saw another one of his teammates, Luna, get pulled into the ground by the monkey. Not falling for the distraction and keeping the offensive was a testament of Clair’s earlier words; “He may be a Genin class but his skills and experience would put a chunin leaf ninja to shame.” Waiting for an opportunity was risky but creating one was even riskier, it seemed. Unless…
“Understood.”, came Takeshi’s reply to Gensou’s orders. “There’s no guarantee that Riku will fall for another distraction, however. I’ll prepare myself in case he goes after me.” Putting his kunai back into his pouch, he made his slow descent toward the ground. With Riku underground, he’d have to enter the danger zone. ‘No matter what happens or you see’. That was clear enough for him. Even if he ended up being Riku’s target, he’d free the other two.
Once he reached the ground, Takeshi weaved a few signs. “Earth Style: Sculpture.” Using the earth at his feet, he used a jutsu to mold it around his ankles. Moving like clay, the stone finally hardened above his feet, taking a form similar to cuffs covered in earthy spines. Assuming Riku had grabbed his teammates by the ankles, he’d be in for a nasty surprise if he tried to do the same with Takeshi.
His own little trap done, he awaited Gensou’s move, hoping Riku would emerge soon.
Should Riku come out of the ground near Gensou, taking her bait, Takeshi would dash toward Luna and Rinka to free them using Earth Release. This was personally the outcome he hoped would happen. Although they’d have to worry about Gensou if she was targeted -with that being said, the whole team would be back up to fight Riku.
If, however, Riku decided to go after him and ignore Gensou, Takeshi had another trick up his sleeve. If the nin-monkey would grab his ankles, he’d hope the stone spikes would deter him. If Riku would keep trying to pull him underground, Takeshi was certain a Lightning Style jutsu would greatly surprise the monkey. While his Spark Spray wasn’t much for damage, hopefully the surprise itself would be enough to buy enough time for the sought-after rescue.
