oh and the bounty isn't just for the rebels. Vympiri use the bounty system too. So do criminals looking to make a name for themselves, gangs, and independent factions.

I like it and it might be an interesting idea but I do have an end game with this rp. If you can stick to it I'll be more than happy to accept your cs if you can change his abilities to fit the universe. Like using Mana to create an ghost like imitation of himself that is actually tangible.
- Heyo! I might be interested, though I was wondering if I could apply for a "Crossover Character", who was/is being used in a few other RP's? I'm sure he'd make a pretty good Monster Hunter, since his job was, for the most part, hunting down "Paranormal Creatures". I even thought up a "Trailer" type of sequence for an "Introduction", of sorts. Just click "Trailer" to check it out... but please, note that it doesn't necessarily reflect everything he is capable of, nor does it reflect how I'll be RP'ing as him... if anything, imagine it as "If this were played out like a Fighting Game", and he was a Guest Character showing up, and demonstrating some of his moves. '
- The rain poured down the plains between Tyrimm and Vyrmm.
A woman and her daughter stood in the center of a road, surrounded by three bandits clad in thick Dragon Leather. Trees were blocking their view from the surrounding landscape, allowing them all secrecy amongst the shadows.
The bandits aimed sharp steel daggers their way. The little girl hugged her mother's waist, crying, and silently prayed for the bad guys to go away.
"Alright, Missy... how's about ya hand over yer valuables and daughter, then come with us?" one of the bandits asked, his dagger only a centimeter away from her throat.
The other two grinned and added, "Aye. We ain't gonna hurt ya! We don't bite!"
The third added, "... Much!"
The three of them laughed, while the daughter cried even louder.
"Please... you can take me, but leave my daughter out of this! Please... just let her go back to the town, with her father!" the woman begged, only for the first bandit, likely their leader, to press his dagger even closer to her, even to the point of drawing a little blood.
"I don't think you've got a say in the matter, Lass..." the bandit retorted.
"Then perhaps we do!" a stout man's voice called from behind the trees.
The bandits turned around, and gasped when they saw five well-armored individuals approach them from behind the treelines. They were clad in, what appeared to be, white and gold platemail, and they were wielding tall shields and longswords.
"Damn... looks like we've got some Holy Knights on our hands! Whatever will we do?!" the leader asked, before a grin formed on his mouth. "Oh, right... this."
He then snapped his fingers. Suddenly, the ground around the knights started to quake, and before any of them could react, a large stone ejected from the ground, sending three of the knights flying back, and toppling the other two onto the ground.
"Gah! What the... he's using Earth Magic!" one of the knights yelled, stumbling back onto the floor.
The bandit then grinned and nodded his head. "That's right... but wait, there's more!" At another snap of his fingers, four more bandits landed from the trees onto the ground, holding their weapons up to the exposed necks of the knights.
"And now, you're all coming with us!" the Bandit Leader concluded.
The knights glared at him, before one of them took a step forward. However, he stopped once one of the bandits grabbed hold of the child, and held her throat up at knife-point.
"Ah, ah! Try something, and see what happens!" he threatened.
The knights stood frozen in place, before looking towards each other. "F... fine... you have us. We'll go peacefully, as long as you don't harm them."
And with that, the bandit moved the knife away from the child's neck...
... before an unseen force send him flying back, while a metallic "clink" could be heard around him. A bloodied gash was driven in his forehead, and he was rendered unconscious.
The other bandits, and even the knights, looked towards the bandit, as the second one, the one holding the woman, was sent flying as well. Like the first, he was knocked unconscious from blunt force trauma, with a nasty-looking gash on his head.
The woman took this advantage to rush to her daughter and hold her close, looking around, just as confused as everyone else.
"Y'know, you guys should really pay more attention to your surroundings." came a new male's voice. They turned around, and spotted a man wearing... unusual clothing.
He was wearing a black vest over a blue button-up shirt. A dark gray scarf was over his mouth. His pants were made of denim, and his hiking boots were dark brown. On his back he wore a large Hiking Bag, with brown leather Box Pouches strapped to a series of belts. He had a modified Quad-Barreled Shotgun holstered next to his backpack, and on his right hip, holstered within a belt loop, was a Pipe Wrench with a silver tip at the end.
After drawing his Pipe Wrench from his belt loop, he gently tapped the tip against his palm while the bandits quickly surrounded him, swords pointed his way.
"So... which of you ladies wanna dance, first?"
And then, three of them rushed towards him, while he reached his right hand into his vest. He pulled out a small orb-like device and tossed it in the air, while swinging his Pipe Wrench at it.
Once it struck, a sudden flash, followed by a loud ring, echoed into the air, causing those around them to cover their ears.
His eyes then suddenly glossed over, in a death-like appearance, while his spirit ejected from his body, still clad in his equipment, but in a more ghost-like appearance.
His spirit drew his Pipe Wrench, and struck the bandit in front of him, while the two closest to him attempted to blindly swing at him with their swords, still disoriented from the flash.
His spirit then angled his swing from the first strike, in a way to deflect the blow from the bandit's attack at his left, before his spirit instantly "recalled" to his body. He ducked to dodge the second one's attack, before drawing his physical Pipe Wrench and striking the bandit in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious, and shoving him into the other one, who was still stumbling from Jason's Spirit Form deflecting his attack.
The last bandit grit his teeth before snapping his finger. The ground around Jason quickly started to quake.
His instincts kicked in immediately, and he rolled out of the way, right as the stone propelled into the sky. He then rushed towards the bandit and drew his shotgun from its holster.
As the bandit braced for impact, using a thick stone to block his path, Jason's eyes glossed over, and his spirit immediately launched itself behind him.
"Lights out..." his spirit said, before drawing his Pipe Wrench and striking the bandit in the back of his neck. The distraction was enough to drop his magic aura around the stone, causing it to fall over, while Jason's body continued to rush towards him, as if by instinct.
Jason's spirit then leaped into the air and kicked the bandit in the back, launching him towards Jason at an even faster rate, before his spirit instantly returned to his body.
Jason then aimed the butt of the shotgun at the bandit's head, before bashing it directly into his nose. The impact would force the bandit onto the ground, while Jason pressed his foot onto the bandit's chest, and aimed the barrel at his head.
The bandit immediately raised his hands in the air, and shouted, "I SURRENDER!"
Jason then frowned at him, before removing his foot from the bandit's chest, though he kept the barrel aimed at him. He then nodded towards the Knights, who kept a safe distance guarding the woman and her daughter, and stated, "They're all yours."
"We may not know who you are, stranger, but you seem to know what you're doing... how do you feel about joining The Order of Knights? We could use a man like you, who can handle large crowds like this." the one leading the expedition asked him, as he was about to leave them be.
Jason stopped in his tracks, then turned back around to face them. Giving it some thought, he shrugged his shoulders and replied, "Hmm... depends. Do you guys need an expert in hunting dangerous creatures?"
- Anyways, it's mostly just a Work-In-Progress at the moment. I was gonna submit an official Character Sheet if he's allowed, but wanted to see what y'all thought about it, first. '
Basically, the idea is that he's been tracking down a mysterious fog in his world that's caused multiple disappearances. Upon entering it, however, he found himself dragged into several different worlds, on a quest to listen to the Fog, in its request to "Help Them".
Turns out, the Fog was a portal to other worlds, and he now finds himself trapped in a constant game of "Chase", while helping those he comes across in his encounters between worlds, before he can finally return to his own.
And thus, would he eventually find himself in a place where Monsters and other things are common... something that he isn't really too unfamiliar with, having faced off against Paranormals like Demons, Ghosts, Vampires, Werewolves, Wendigoes, Changelings, Eldritch Horrors, and several other creatures back in his own world.
Anyways, just an idea. Not entirely sure if you'd accept the concept of a "Crossover Character", though, or not. And so, I figured I'd ask, and demonstrate him a bit, before starting on an actual Character Sheet. '
Ah, well I was planning on him keeping his original abilities, but also translating them into your lore's ways, as a means of keeping him as close to his original idea, since he's... y'know... a "Crossover Character". Can't be a proper "Crossover" if he isn't able to be himself, after all.I like it and it might be an interesting idea but I do have an end game with this rp. If you can stick to it I'll be more than happy to accept your cs if you can change his abilities to fit the universe. Basically, his "Ghost-Like Imitation" was actually one of his abilities: Astral Projection. His soul leaves his body, and with enough concentration, he can interact with the "Physical World". However, being in his "Ghost Form" also acts as him being in somewhat of a "Trance-Like" State, almost like he's asleep.
This means that, as he remains in Ghost Form, he gets more "Awake", and in turn, limits his ties with the Spirit World, until he's fully energized. He would then have to wait for a while until he can return into his Ghost Form, by either tiring his Physical body out, or just waiting until he feels "Tired" again.
In this case, I'd probably consider his "Energy" from every RP he's been in as the equivalent of "Mana" in this world, which when full, means he's capable of "Astral Projection", and when empty, means he needs to replenish his "Mana" by tiring himself out in battle... kinda like "Rage" from WoW, where the more he fights, the more "Tired" he gets, which could then lead to him "Astral Projecting" to keep up with a good fight... and balancing it out accordingly, of course.
Also, he can't really be too far away from his body, or his soul would be "Recalled" back into it, which could cause him to suffer a slight case of "Whiplash", and disorient him for a bit. The same happens if his physical body is struck while he's in Ghost Form.
So really, his biggest powers are his Astral Body or his rather large arsenal of weaponry, of which he's used to hunt down the monsters of his own world.
Finally, I didn't really know that you had an "End-Game" in mind for this. However, that's perfectly fine with me, so long as we can consider him... idunno... kinda like Dante in Shin Megami Tensei 3. And by that, I simply mean "a Guest Character who's mostly there for support, and what-not, while also providing a hand when needed." Then, once the "End Game" phase is done, The Fog would draw him back into it, where after saying his goodbyes to those he met in his travels here, he would "Vanish" from the world of Lore, having fulfilled his duties here.
His ultimate fate beyond that point would be deemed "Another story, for another time...", or something like that.
Is, uh... is that alright with DarknessSama17 , though? '
He has a book that can't be damaged in his vest (It's protected by an Otherworldly Magic), and bullets that can weaken creatures of the "Paranormal" variety, such as Silver Bullets, Salt Shots (good for weakening Demons and Ghosts), Acadia Wooden Shots (weakens Vampires, due to Acadia being a Holy Wood used in numerous ritualistic objects such as the Arc of the Covenant, the Arc, and the foundations of Tabernacles), and several others, with plenty of room to make some more, including some substances only found in Lore.
He's also faced Eldritch Horrors in the past, which have toppled skyscrapers in both size and strength. He has extremely keen reflexes and reaction time (especially in his Spirit Form, since the Spirit is a lot less limited than one's physical body in terms of potential, meaning his spirit may be able to withstand powerful adversaries and swing back with equal force... in time, that is...). That being said, though, he has a trump card that can also be useful to prevent any lore from being broken from both of our ideas... a curse that prevents him from staying dead, called the "Nox Eternus".
It doesn't make him immortal, as he's still susceptible of dying. He would still feel the pain of death, as well. Whenever he dies, however, his body vanishes, heals physically, and appears near an unmarked grave or a temple, usually in a random part of the world (though a few adjustments can be made to where he "Awakens" again in a temple within the Capital City, or a remote village near it.) He also suffers a slight case of amnesia, to the point where he can't remember exactly what it was that killed him, nor the encounters within the past few hours. This way, he can't "Seek Revenge", and may even be sent into a different path, entirely... that is, implying the pain from his previous death doesn't render him unconscious, first (which is a high probability in many cases). While his physical body would be healed, he would still feel what he felt prior to dying, such as "Broken bones", despite not having broken bones, impalement despite not being impaled... y'know... to prevent him from suddenly "Jumping back into action", and actually requiring a bit of a "Recharging" stage.
And plus, who's to say he might not gain a few new toys while in Lore? Perhaps some of the new stuff that the natives here use to hunt those kinds of opponents? <_<
Oh, but please note that his biggest strengths won't be with him at the start. He'll mostly be coming-to with a bit of "Disorientation" due to the Fog pulling him between worlds. As such, he will have time to grow stronger alongside the other characters, and won't just start off as the "100 times stronger than man" kind of fighter, like Dante was in SMT3. He'll be growing stronger as time progresses, with everyone else, as he would adjust himself into this world's ways.
Awesome, thanks! It's almost 2am for me at the moment though, and I've got work tomorrow, plus my sis will be graduating, but I'll try to get a CS in as soon as I can!Hmm in that case welcome! Fill out a CS and welcome to the Order!
