Kiss and Kill [Ryder | L u n a] - He swept her off her feet, like the assassin he is.
In a tower that has a great view of the city, there sat a young man. He looked about eighteen and ready to kill. The guy twirled his dagger with his fingers. He was on a mission, and failure was not an option. Not like it even was an option on his previous missions. People who were able to see him would point at him and whisper to each other. "It's him...". Who was this fellow? And what on earth is he doing on top of a tower? Was he some kind of maniac that was going to suicide and waste his awesome-looking ninja clothes? Or was he some guy who was acting like a human watch tower? Or was he just showing off and is about to yell "Hey look at me, I'm on top of a tower! I'm awesome!"?


First of all, his name was Zeth. Zeth Hunter. Second, he's on top of the tower looking for his targets. Yes, targets, with an S. Third, he's not a suicidal maniac. Fourth... eh... sort of. Minus the light and all. And lastly, no. He would never show off.


Anyway, Zeth's targets were pirates who were stealing the packages from other countries and keep them all to themselves. "Selfish people..." he muttered as he stood up and put his dagger away. He jumped down from the roof of the tower. The wind was like an air version of the sea. If that even makes sense. He landed on another roof with a thud. He continued to jump from roof to roof until he spotted people with swords and bandanas. What immediately caught his eye was a parrot. It was perched on a pirate's shoulder. Zeth smirked, but it wasn't visible due to his mouth mask. Pirates are so easy to find. They blend in poorly, especially with their weapons and the captain's parrot. Birds in the city are usually brown or sometimes white.





"Target sighted..."

Those pirates.


The morphling inched towards what humans would most likely call a 'dock'. Not to get her wrong, but even though she has lived with all the other species for almost her whole life, she never had intentions of memorizing the language they would, or spontaneously learning the newest ones. The basics, was enough for her. Yes, this girl raised herself in rudimentary aspects, only to be enhanced on her own. But alas, that wasn't of much importance, was it?


For now, it wasn't.


But this ongoing scene before her, was.


Sky-blue eyes scanned one of the ships that had just docked. A small grin slowly was planted on her angelic face. This was most certainly it. She held indeed no doubt that this specific ship -- and that specific parrot, and flag cast, and all other aspects of the group of pirates -- were the same ones she had to look for. And now that they were in her sight, it delighted her more than just a little.


What to do...


In truth, Scarlett wasn't so sure. She was never sure.





Should I give them a surprise?


Slowly, she walked, looking around aimlessly. This was no cover, really.





She'd always look like she's lost. And she'd always be. In her thoughts, most of the time.


Or, should I knock them out?


"Ah, what's a beautiful lady doing here?," a pirate chuckled in a quite malicious manner, bringing in more pirates' attention to her.





"Would'ya look at that! Extra loot!," one of the pirates bellowed, and the others followed along, chuckling and laughing as if she was their achievement. Of course, more than anything, they were wrong.





I'll probably knock them out. Or give them a surprise.





She raised both hands in the air, with no apparent knowledge that it meant surrendering.


Or both.

As Zeth neared the pirates, he couldn't help but listen to what they were saying. Perhaps they were talking some secret plan or something. It looked like it was a "something" because a girl, a morphling to be exact looked lost and went near his targets.. "No, don't!" he said to himself in a hushed whisper. He was talking to himself, rather than the girl. If he tried to communicate with her, he would give away his position, resulting... failure of his mission.


"Ah, what's a beautiful lady doing here?" he heard one of them say.





"Would ya look at that! Extra loot!" said another one.


Then the morphling did the stupidest thing Zeth has ever seen. She raised her hands in surrender. Why is she surrendering herself? Is she crazy or somethin'? thought Zeth. He saw one of the pirates step towards the girl, and another step, then another. Soon, the others were walking towards her as well, excluding the captain. Zeth sighed. "Pirates, I do not understand them..." he said and jumped down the side of the building he was in. He sneaked behind a crate and grabbed the pirate nearest to him by the neck then pulled him down. Zeth's grip tightened on the person's neck until the pirate went limp. "And they are weak as well..." he sighed.


He got out his dagger and looked above the crate. He could still see the girl clearly but she would be closed in pretty soon. He jumped out his hiding place after that. "Greetings, pirates." he said, drawing their attention. "Run while ya can, girl!" he shouted and officially started his mission.


Eliminate the pirates.

A sweet smile remained on Scarlett's expression, silently admiring her quick course of action. Whatever she had just done, it seemed to attract more of those wretched marauders. Closer, she almost seemed to sputter, but she didn't. Fortunately, it just stayed in her mind.


Note to self: Try not to say plans out loud.


Soon enough, another voice mixed in, and she knew it didn't at all belong to a pirate. It wasn't rough, and deep, and really gross. There was no blaming her for commenting or thinking horribly like that, or so she figured. Unlike most people, she had the ability to memorize and know many different aspects in one voice. This didn't make her more unique than how she was already -- the morphling she was and still is -- but this voice-recognizing thing did help her for more than she could remember.





"Run while ya can, girl!"


And the difficult and impossible girl she was, Scarlett just froze in place, lowering her head and letting her long, silver hair cover the delighted grin on her face. After suppressing it, she looked up again, and realized that her plans have kind of... failed. "Time for plan B," she muttered, totally ignoring the ruckus between all pirates around, walked a little, and paused again. "What should I do..."


Her plan B was thinking again. In the middle of chaos.


Of course.

Zeth mentally started a complaint chain. Why wasn't the girl running? Was she waiting for him to finish his job? Well if she is, she'd have to wait. Now to focus on the matter at hand. He kicked a pirate on his manhood, making the man howl in pain. Zeth took this as a chance and grabbed his neck tightly. If you're wondering why won't he just use his dagger, it's because he prefers a clean kill, rather than a bloody mess. Last time, he had to clean it up and it wasn't a good experience. Zeth let the body fall to the ground and faced the other pirates, who had their swords drawn.


"Let's dance..."





Zeth parried a blow and ducked. It was a one on who knows how many. He blocked an attack then stabbed the guy on the leg, making him fall to the ground. He back flipped when one tried to slice him in half and when he landed, he was on top of a pirate's back. He stomped on the man's neck, not to hard to make it bleed, just enough to make him start suffocating because of lax of oxygen. Honestly, this was far by the most boring fight he had ever done. Usually, he would have to go on top of the roofs of the buildings to chase the target but they were on in once place, not running away. The girl was the problem though. If she didn't run...


Zeth sighed. Part of his job was to keep the innocent safe. He blocked another blow and put away his dagger. "Do not make me regret this..." he said to nobody at all and rushed at the girl. Once she was at his reach, he carried her, bridal style, and ran.





"I told you to run, girl!"

Scarlett looked at the sight around her benevolently, realizing with a smile that the new -- she couldn't say he was uninvited or unwanted -- guest, had just altered her plans temporarily. Well, if he'd assassinate them all right now, the morphling's plans would indeed change permanently. That wasn't such a good thing. Plans weren't at all meant to be altered. Then again, maybe it wasn't a bad thing either. She simply watched with inquisitive sky-blue eyes, the figure dancing around those pirates almost gracefully. A little sigh escaped her nostrils. "Oh we--"





And that's when she was somehow, flying.


Wait, no. She was being carried.





What in the world... Scarlett thought with eyes wide agape. She couldn't even finish the question in her mind because she was having a few difficulties just figuring out the situation already. Her gaze fell to the young man (or at least she thought he was a young man), and after the realization that this was the same interesting, plan-altering, gracefully-dancing assassin-like human from earlier, she just closed her eyes briefly, opened them again, and enjoyed this -- whatever was happening. Truth be told, she wasn't such so fond of this, but it wasn't like there was anything she could do about it, anyway.

Zeth looked straight ahead, ignoring the stare he was getting from the girl he just saved. He saw her close her eyes, only to open them again. At this rate, I might have to cancel my mission... He jumped over a barrel that came rolling from nowhere. What is this, Donkey Kong? he thought to himself as he jumped over another one. Well, I don't see any ladders or a monkey and I already rescued the "princess"... Zeth glanced behind him to see the pirates chasing him. They were shouting rude stuff at him and he didn't like it. Zeth ran past a fruit stand and didn't bother to try and throw the fruits at the pirates. Actually, this was like another version of Donkey Kong, with him running from the "monkeys" with the "princess".


Zeth was going to need to put the girl down somewhere soon if he wanted to complete his mission. "Don't complain when I drop ya." he told her. Right after he said that, he made a sharp turn to the left and dropped her on a worn out mattress. They still don't put away their old stuff? he thought disapprovingly before going back to the show on the road. He front flipped over a pirate to avoid his attack and elbowed him on his back, hard, and brought out his dagger. Zeth slammed the hilt of the dagger against the pirate's head, making him go limp. Weaklings... But before he knew it, he was suddenly surrounded. His enemies' swords were pointed at his neck so if he moved, he would die.





So much for the most boring fight...





He didn't surrender, however. He still had his dagger drawn and he couldn't do anything even with his weapon. Maybe he could make an exception this time... Hmm... Nah. Zeth didn't want to clean up those marauders' nasty guts. Maybe someone would save him. Maybe. Pfft... Yeah right, like that could happen. He was ashamed of himself for actually allowing himself to be surrounded. And by his targets too. Oh how I hate this day. he thought to himself. Zeth Hunter, the best assassin in the city (or even world), failing his mission. And he might even die as well. I hate you, cruel world. You used to be my friend, but not anymore.

Interesting, Scarlett thought, calmly watching as the fellow who just carried her earlier and dropped her into this mattress that wasn't so bad at all, fled to somewhere else. For a few, her attention was directed to the worn-out cushion. After some seconds of rolling around and making herself comfortable, the morphling finally bounced up and let her silverish, fluffy tail slide free from its trapped position in her shirt behind her. Her hands shifted to the inside of both of her shorts' pockets, and felt her fingers wrap themselves on the handles of two daggers. It was amazing how much weapons her clothes could hold and hide.


With a small, almost invisible smile, Scarlett hopped, towards a wall. With both palms of her hands and soles of her feet barely touching the wall but always reaching them, she dashed forward, and crawled upward on the surface. This was one of the great advantages of being a morphling like her. Most of the time, she was different from normal humans when it came to physical aspects, but she never took that in a wrong way. She barely took anything in a negative way. She jumped onto one roof, letting her excellent hearing lead her to her goal, her aim, her mission.


Her reason of even traveling to this place.





All right, here's the plan.


She couldn't help but remember what was directly instructed to her by recent customers.





You'll lure them in.





A grin formed on her face when she looked down, and saw all those pirates surrounding the same fellow from earlier. Why he didn't kill them off yet, she was not sure. But it was a good thing, because that meant that she'd be able to do what she had to.





No doubt, those perverted pirates are gonna take you.


"Where'd you place our end of the bargain, huh?," she could hear one of the pirates ask in the rudest way. Without any hesitation, Scarlett jumped from the roof and ended up landing calmly an inch away from the fellow assassin, on her feet, of course.





Because you're the bargain. In exchange for what we'd want.





She flipped both daggers calmly with her hands, and stared at as much pirates as she could, with that same sweetness in her that she knew none of them could barely avert their eyes from.





All you do is show up.





"You got me," she muttered and raised both hands which held two daggers she never planned on letting go of.





Then do what you want. We ain't stopping you.


The one that looked the roughest and strongest made way slowly towards her. It was most probably their leader. "What do we have here?"


Then, leave.


Change of plans, she thought, slamming the hilts of both daggers at both sides that leader's neck so quickly that he didn't even realize. Though, in reflex, he jerked back and bellowed. It was either he wasn't so strong as he seemed, or Scarlett wasn't as weak as she seemed. But that barely mattered now.


With slightly knit eyebrows, she pointed a dagger at the pirate leader, and another behind her at one pirate who probably had plans of charging from behind. Well, that plan of his was ruined, now.


I do not surrender to such low beings.

Zeth's jaw would've dropped it it weren't for his mouth mask. It took him like two minutes to register what just happened right in front of him. The girl he saved earlier randomly appeared beside him, then had two daggers pointed at the captain's and at another pirate's throat. What just happened? he asked himself before shaking his head slightly. Zeth put a hand on the girl's shoulder, his way of saying thanks to a stranger, then looked back at the other targets. You've messed with the wrong person. Zeth kicked a pirate in the face, making the guy stagger backward. While his leg was in the air, he back flipped and landed behind the girl. He would've gave her a grin if he could, but he couldn't, due to his mouth mask.





Yep. This one's an exception. Zeth let the pirates charge at him before slashing at them. He watched as blood fell on the ground. No decapitated parts and it'll be fine. Not all the pirates charged at him, just some suicidal maniacs. The smarter ones stayed behind and looked wary once they saw what Zeth did to the ones that charged at him. Come and get me, suckers. The captain, despite having a dagger pointed at his throat, shouted an order, "Kill him!" Zeth rolled his eyes and told the girl, "Finish him." He gestured the other pirates to come forth and they did. One by one. What a genius strategy!


Zeth stabbed the first P on the chest. He ran towards the second P and stabbed him on the neck then let him die because of lack of oxygen. For the rest of Zeth's killing spree, let's just say he's an arc of destruction, slashing and hacking at anyone who tries to go near him.


Blood dripped from the tip of Zeth's dagger. That was easy.

That entrance was probably too surprising, she thought, standing in silence with the same position from earlier, waiting for basically everybody else to just stop being frozen in place, in sheer confusion and/ or whatever they may have been feeling. A sigh escaped her lips as she stared intently at the pirate leader's eyes wide agape, and at the rest of the pirates. The morphling, then, gazed at the young man a little by her, and it seemed that he was ready for action. It seemed that he, himself, was a little startled too. But whatever she did, at least it got the fellow assassin to move, and that was kind of a good thing. Or at least, it was, for her.





Was it really that surprising?, Scarlett Faye wondered to herself, only to be brought back to the world when she felt a hand on her shoulder. For a millisecond, she felt a nice little jolt through her body. It was one of the things that she liked in humans sometimes. Physically interacting like there was no tomorrow. Maybe everyone was like that ever since. She wasn't so sure.


That one silly pirate that she was once facing a dagger at staggered back from a blow, and that made her focus more on the pirates' leader. He was brave enough to be barking orders and staring back at her sweet gaze, but that didn't stop Scarlett's plan -- her new plan, which was just ordered by that fellow who seemed to have no intentions of leaving a pirate's life unharmed, now. But she had another plan before finishing him. "Tell me," the morphling spoke charmingly, which as she saw, definitely worked on the pirate leader. His expression and tenseness softened. Funny, how she could do that successfully to all males but a few.


She traced several x's and many other shapes on the leader's neck. Occasionally, she'd walk around him and pick keys, loot, and the like, from his pockets and secret areas. They were all so obvious, it was as if all the items were seeking refuge in her grip. And so, she started questioning, asking, intimidating, and successfully getting all the answers that she needed from him without any hesitation.


"All right," she ended the conversation rather sweetly, and when she withdrew from him, she felt a pair of hands squeezing around her neck.


"I gotcha now!," the leader hollered, and once again, had a surprised look on his face. "Huh?"


He was most probably wondering why the morphling didn't seem to have an agonized look on her face.





"That tickles," she let out a soft chuckle, before swiftly flipping both daggers at her sides again, and once and for all, beheading who was once the captain.





"One thing," she commented, stepping back before too much blood got sprayed on her. With a fulfilled expression on her face, she kicked the head away, sending it rolling towards a dead pirate's body, and knelt. She reached for the necklace and took it from the headless, half neck. Its gold shone in the sun, and etched on the pendant was a trident. "So it was with you," she muttered, wiping the blood off the chains and pendant, which easily came off. "I'm taking this back."





((OOC-desu: You might be wondering, "Was that (beheading and all that) necessary?!?!!?!?!" It was. Or maybe it wasn't.


I haven't decided. cx There's some kind of history to the necklace, so it's up to you if Zeth's gonna ask about it. ou o))

(I was like ㅇㅅㅇ when she beheaded the captain because I could visualize it... *shudder*)


Zeth stared at the head of the captain. "Interesting way of finishing him off..." he commented. He twirled his dagger and it suddenly vanished. You may be thinking, How did he do that? The answer is MAGIC! Nah, just joking. He just quickly hid it so it seems like it disappeared. He faced the girl, who was holding some kind of golden necklace. He walked towards her and being the curious guy he was, he asked, "What is that?" Zeth's curiosity tend to get him in trouble, and he will probably get some kind of lecture from the girl about minding his own business. How can I mind my own business when she has almost everything the captain owned? he thought.


Zeth then remembered he had to clean up the bloody mess and he groaned. He waved his arms in the air, muttering complaints under his breath.


"...stupid blood."


"Can't stay inside the body.."


"...bloody organs everywhere."


"Captain's head..."


"...dozens of bodies."


After his one hundredth complaint, he put his arms down and ran off somewhere to find some cleaning supplied and a shovel. After a few minutes, he came back running to the scene and started moving away the decapitated parts with the shovel he was carrying. It was like a weirder version of hockey. One he removed the parts, he stared at the corpses. It has been a while since he killed this many. The last time he did... he accidentally made the town hall explode but there were only a few casualties.


Zeth looked at the girl and said, "Care to help? You were involved here as well." Then he debated on moving the corpses first or cleaning up the blood. Hmm... If I clean up the blood, the bodies will continue to bleed. But, if I move the bodies first, I can clean up the blood without any problems. He sighed and twirled the shovel he was carrying before running off once again to who knows where. A moment later, he came back with a bunch of townspeople who carried away the bodies. Once there were no more corpses, he started cleaning the blood... and organs. Zeth remembered when he killed someone for the first time. He had not meant to cut of the man's arm. And he had to stay in his house for the rest of the day because he was feeling sick.


FLASHBACK!


"I got ya know, Berlin." said Zeth as he pointed his dagger at the man's throat. "Kill me then! Unless you're scared!" said Berlin, his target. The man was kidnapping people every midnight and he had to be stopped. Zeth pressed the tip of the dagger against Berlin's throat. "I'm not afraid to use this..." he said. His target laughed crazily and started saying nonsense. "Kill me! You're an assassin, all you do is murder people! You can never do anything good! Heed my words!" Zeth was crept out by this guy so he took a step back. Unfortunately, he stepped on a can of beans and slipped. His dagger cut Berlin's arm, making him howl in pain. "No! I'm too young to die!" he howled. Zeth looked at him with disbelief from the floor. "You need to go to a mental hospital. You're eighty-two years old! How is that young?" Berlin looked at the young man. "Well excuse me, I have DREAMS you know!" he said then Berlin blacked out of blood loss.


END OF FLASHBACK!





It was his first mission, so he had no experience with killing people. Back to the present, Zeth was currently facing the girl. He finished cleaning up the mess without her help. "Never mind. I finished it." he told her. Then he let the shovel he was holding lean against the wall.


"Say, you never told me your name."
