The European Union has become a military alliance, and a new Warsaw Pact now unites much of Eastern Europe with Russia. The United States has allied itself with the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, and Israel to create the Union of Independent States. Much of Asia has formed the Confederacy of Asian States. Many countries claim to be neutral, but neutrality is a thing of the past. Every nation will be forced to take a side, sooner or later. As alliances tend to do, they've turned the world into a veritable tinderbox. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]That's where you come in. The International Peacekeeping Task Force, the dying powerplay of the now-defunct United Nations. An elite group of men and women, soldiers and civilians, dedicated to preventing war, everywhere it could. Even after the United Nations collapsed, it continued to carry out its objective. Or, at least, it did until recently.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]Your team returns from a hostage rescue mission in Ukraine, to find their home, the Supercarrier H.V. Evatt, in flames. There were no surviving combat personnel, and a handful of non-combatant survivors. What remains of the IPTF reunites at a safehouse on a small, unnamed island in the Mid-Atlantic. At first, there are no shortage of suspects. Every nation had disavowed its Task Force personnel, and many nations considered the IPTF a terrorist organization. It soon becomes clear, however, that no nation had anything to do with this. You'll need to find out who the hell attacked you, find out what their plans are, keep the peace, and keep the Task Force together. Shouldn't be too hard.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]Kilo 5: Mechanic and Comms Specialist of Kilo Squadron, traditional military rank is Private First Class. This character is new to Kilo and the IPTF, the Ukraine Operation was their first mission.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Hostage: A former captive of the Second Warsaw Pact. This person could be either a political prisoner, a well-known peace advocate, or a skilled soldier, or something else entirely. For whatever reason, they have agreed to assist the IPTF. (PM me if you want this role.)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Surgeon: A surgeon who survived the attack on the Evatt. They may or may not have combat skill, but they are not combat personnel.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Pilot: The pilot who extracted Kilo Squad from Ukraine and who brought the remains of the IPTF to the safehouse. They will serve as the primary transporter of IPTF personnel. They will provide air support and direction to field units. They may or may not have combat training.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Diplomat: A IPTF Diplomat rescued from the Evatt. They will handle all formal and informal negotiations, and provide political insight. They may not have any combat skill. (If you want this role, communicate with whoever plays the Bodyguard.)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Bodyguard: A bodyguard from the Diplomat’s native country, duty-bound to protect them at all costs. They will serve as the primary means of protection for the safehouse when Kilo is away, but their loyalty lies with the Diplomat. (Communicate with the Diplomat. Decide on things like how long they’ve been working together, as well as their dynamic. Are they friends? Lovers? Can they barely stand each other?)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]The Defector: A defector from the European Union, who joins the IPTF after the first in-RP operation. (PM me if you want this role.)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.666666666666666px]I realize that this is a bit bare-bones at the moment. I’ll develop it a bit more if I get some bites on the interest check. Also, I realize that is a lot of roles that need to be filled. Thus, if we don’t have enough, I will allow doubling. If there are still unfilled roles, I will play them.
