Appearance:


Karesha is a tall slender woman with short silver hair and dark skin. Her eyes, like all the Joybringers, are a vibrant blue. She loves to wear clothing that matches her eyes and looks good. But it also must be comfortable.


Personality:


Karesha is a laid back woman who enjoys the little things in life, she is not hedonistic like much of the Chosen of Serenity. She prefers the good feeling of exercise, performing and being healthy. She also loves to feel well-rested, so she makes sure to get enough rest at night. She is well educated and does enjoy intellectual conversation with those who enjoy it as well. Karesha has been called a ‘people-pleaser’, which is pretty much true.


Backstory:


Born in the early months of Spring, Karesha was born to the tribal priest of Ahlat or her particular village. They found her natural white hair an omen of good fortune, and she was treated like a goddess from an early age. She was given whatever she wanted as long as it was within reason, but, Karesha more enjoyed simply playing with the other children. But, she was never treated like one of them by the other kids. Karesha was lonely into adulthood, where she became a priestess.


She was tasked with going to a near-by village to help with a ritual, but on her way, it happened. She Exalted as one of the Chosen. She had no idea what had just happened, but luckily, another Sidereal was sent to retrieve her. This Sidereal was her Sifu, and an influential member of the Gold Faction. A Chosen of Journeys and an incredibly kind man. It was easy to be taken by his ideas, since he was the first one who treated her as… Human.


When she first came to Yu Shan, she was so amazed. She took in the whole experience and liked it. But she did begin to miss the simple things in Creation. For the next few years, she went through the basic training all Sidereals go through. She then got a few missions and she succeeded easily. Then, about a year ago, she received something… Rare. A detached duty. There was a point where many Celestial Exalts have gathered. Which needs to be monitored from within. Of course, her Gold Faction superiors decided to use this to their advantage and make sure she would also clean up after Solars (or even Lunars if it arises) if they caused any problems. The last thing they wanted was for the Realm to take notice of this area.


She had herself inserted into the courts here, gaining an advisor position as well as an excellent planner of banquets.

Actually, you just need to have mastered a Celestial Style to access the Form-type Charm for an SMA. The initial Charms can be learned normally.

Hmmm apparently we're both wrong:


SotM p.13: (for siddies) :Before a Sidereal can attain competence with a greater martial art—defined as learning a Sidereal style’s Form-type Charm—the Chosen of Fate must fully master some martial art from the Bulb of the Perfected Lotus.


So to be able to learn SMA for siddies: fully mastering a CMA is a prereq


SotM p.14 (for solars & abyssals): Any Solar or Abyssal can learn a Sidereal martial art if he already knows at least one Celestial fighting art to its Form-type Charm.


So the prereqs for solars are lower than the prereqs for siddies... wierd.

That means I'm right. You have to completely know a CMA only to learn the Form-type Charm of an SMA - any charms before that can be learned without such knowledge.
