Salamancer, first class
Elendynn Glace, River Hold City Streets
Cadwy had finally decided to show himself, the oaf had shown up last minute, but fully prepared, as seemed to be usual. Elendynn had already fitted herself with her desert gear, her face and body covered in her cloak, her eye glinting with a slight green glow from her goggles. She looked nothing more than a phantom in the night, which was another reason why the Rats wore it, it was excellent camouflage among the dark dunes at night. "Climb on, we don't have many hours before the sun is up, and I want to be through the mountain passes before that happens." She gestured to the crate behind her on the back of the Rider, Cadwy could sit there if he wished, show doubted he would be able to stay standing for the almost ten hour trip ahead of them.
When he was settled, they took off, slightly slowed by the extra weight, but still just as maneuverable. The dark made it the perfect time to travel, the monsters of the desert would all be hidden away in their caves and burrows, thieves would have a hard time tracking them through the sands in the pale moonlight, which have just enough shine to let her navigate. Her main guidance was the mountain range seperating Dro'fyr and Grove. She knew of passages between the mountains, several tunnels that led cleanly and directly through them, mostly used for business travels, and thus kept clear of obstructions or monsters. They reached the base of such a mountain, and she had to skirt north along its edge until she found the tunnel opening, which was labeled "Haven Route" by an imposingly large, but worn-down and rusty sign.
She had to keep her thoughts on keeping her rider moving, she had no extra power to turn and converse with Cadwy. If she became distracted and stopped now, the energy drain would be too much for her to try to pick up momentum again, and they would have to wait another full day for her to rest before they could continue on. As it was, if she kept this speed up, they should be able to make it with the amount of energy she had, especially since they exited the tunnel into a smooth and open road, well-worn with merchant travel and foot wear. They spent the next three hours after in a blur, her mind began to fuzz over from the strain, when they finally entered the city limits of Haven. Elendynn slid to a snail's pace, and then a halt outside of the gates, and lifeless lot flopped into a sitting position and then lay down inside they small belly of the Rider. She was exhausted, that was the longest she had ever run in one shot, any of her magic would be sent out of control for at least a full day. But, she smiled, looking back at Cadwy sitting on the crate behind her, "We're here," before she sat up, leaned against the mast, nodded her head and fell asleep.
