Local Furry Goes 'Awoo'
Hello! I'm Quiet! And as you might have guessed, I'm a huge fan of the Tokusatsu franchise Kamen Rider. As such, I would be absolutely stoked to run a Rider-based game here on this site.
Now, I have a two ideas. So please view the descriptions of these ideas and vote for one that sounds interesting to you, should you be interested in a Kamen Rider RP!
Firstly, I have an idea that would essentially be taking the whole plotline of Kamen Rider Ryuki (Or Dragon Knight, if you watched that as a kid) and cleaning off each of the original characters. They would then be replaced by Thirteen OCs that will instead take the place as a Rider. For example, Shinji Kido would not be Ryuki. Instead, Ryuki's Advent Deck would be used by J. Jonah Joeshmoe Jameson from Down The Block.
Now if you don't know, Kamen Rider Ryuki's plot is the story of mysterious monsters hailing from a world beyond the Mirror kidnapping ordinary citizens from their daily lives. From an unknown source, thirteen Card Decks were created and dispersed throughout Japan to thirteen people. By the power of these Decks, these thirteen people can become Kamen Riders! The holders of the items can contract Mirror Monsters to fight for them against other Kamen Riders in a battle to the death! What is the prize for this battle? It would be exactly one wish granted to the winner, with no restrictions or limitations.
The second idea would be somewhat similar to the first idea, but using the series of Kamen Rider Gaim instead of Ryuki. This one would be a lot more open to creativity while still using the canonical abilities of the Canon Riders due to the mass-produced nature of the Lockseeds and the Sengoku Drivers used by the Kamen Riders of this series. This RP will, instead of taking place in an AU where none of the Canon Characters exist, it will play out as an off-shoot of the original universe. Canon characters will still exist, have their Sengoku Drivers and Lockseeds, and even show up once in a while. But they will not be the focus of the RP!
If you don't know Gaim, don't worry. I haven't even finished it yet. The plot of Gaim is essentially:
"Because of the large company, Yggdrasill Corporation setting up shop in the once bustling city of Zawame (沢芽市 Zawame-shi?); the community started to become more like a jōkamachi (城下町 castle town?). To escape the feeling of being under castle authority, dance crews were formed by young people to bring joy back to the public. Along with this is a popular game that uses the mysterious Lockseeds that contain animals called Inves that are said to come from another dimension.
However, it seems that the Lockseed games have stepped up as the dance crews in Zawame grow restless with each other. Using a new belt-based technology called the Sengoku Driver in tandem with their Lockseeds, those who wield them can become masked heroes known as Armoured Riders! All does not seem well with the existence of these seeds, however. Who will come out on top? Who will be the bottom of the barrel? Who will even lose their lives with these games?!"
