A Peek Into The Mind

Hakuren has been and perhaps may always will be the type of person who keeps others at a particular distance. This aloof behavior often leads to many misconceptions about him more often than not. It isn't really that he doesn't wish for establishing relationships but rather that he seems to have problems regarding placing trust in people. Hakuren actually wishes for nothing more than being someone who is "loved," but cannot bring himself to place his hopes in someone for fear of being abandoned by that same person. This being said, Hakuren is constantly seeking proof that a relationship can last and that he won't be betrayed. As a result of having come to believe that nothing would be gained without giving something first, Hakuren actually treats his relationship with his designated human as a pact of sorts and doesn't actually mean any harm by suggesting it in such a way.


Once past his supposed cold outer shell, Hakuren is really just someone who is like an innocent child and can become happy at even what others consider the smallest of things. He simply wants to be kind and capable of creating connections as to bring about a greater sense of living. At times, he can come off as curt or even rude but with enough patience, perhaps it would be possible for him to be less hesitant and take things more as just as what they are instead of automatically assuming the worst. Of course, there's still the issue that there is a very limited number of people capable of truly understanding Hakuren.

  Although he doesn't really need it, Hakuren carries around a small dagger-like weapon called a tant?. Due to its compact size as well as the shape of its sheath, the tant? can be easily hidden inside of his clothing and be whipped out at a moment's notice.

  Shapeshifting - As a bakeneko, Hakuren is capable of shifting from one form to another as well as being capable of even partial transformations. Usually, Hakuren only assumes the form of either his default human or cat form but will occasionally change into other things. Also, unless he is copying the appearance of someone else, he always has the base same coloration of white.
  
  
  Fire Manipulation - Like many others of his kind, Hakuren is capable of summoning and controlling ghostly fire balls. These fireballs have a greater ability to burn than the average fire as they are much hotter. As long as it is his own fire, Hakuren can extinguish the fireballs as easily as he can produce them.
  
  
  Iron Stomach - Hakuren can eat pretty much anything without suffering the consequences whether it be something many times his size or even things that are toxic. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that he'll actually eat random things. He still has taste buds, after all.
  
  
  Feline Physiology - Being that he's essentially a cat, Hakuren's reflexes and senses are like those of a cat. This being said, he's fleet-footed and has considerably heightened senses.

Bio: Being in perfect neutrality, AeNe is straightforward, meaning she can come off as cold or sweet, depending directly on the actual opinion she gives. Her soul bears nothing but truths or required lies, therefore she cannot experience feelings of friendship, care, or love.


Background: Aene was born from two gods, one of light, one of darkness, preferably known as Aether and Nether and this, being a forbidden link between species. Something like this had never occurred before, and the portion of the great city ruled by these gods disputed much about the birth of this being. Peculiarly, she never attained the power of a god, and most believed this to be because the two sides of her hated each other. At the age of 8 in Orinian years, AeNe was literally sentenced to a fall; the act of banishment through pushing an otherworldly being down to the human world, due to her being thought of as a false heir. From the start of her life in the mortal construct, Aene was disabled directly from her fall, and is said to have laid in the streets for months. Having said that, AeNe was used for sexual purposes and twisted torture, but was also shown rare cases of generosity. Upon being taken in by a special face, Aene has devoted their life to this host as perhaps her sole savior, and carries out all orders without question, needless to say without feelings as well. AeNe spends her time as a 'friend' as well, but is seen by most other citizens of Piconola as disturbing or disgraceful. Aene also regained her ability to move, as her light and dark tech shot up after her salvage, and thus, she controls each side of her body through her own power.
