Hera huffed a laugh at Tyler's antics. "There isn't even a dice involved..." She muttered under her breath. This looks like it's going to be a fun game. "If both players are ready, you may begin."

Tyler started by lying the four cards side by side on the two planks before swatting them sharply with his stiffened fingers. Each of the quartet of cards bounced slightly on the ends, but settled, leaning against one another in two triangles. He set the fifth card slightly on end before swatting the board, flipping it end-over-end twice before it landed atop the quartet. He didn't even glance at the other student, but could tell from his barely muttered hisses and curses he was trying the method, yet failing.

Hera watched in amusement as the student tried to mirror Tyler's moves, but failed. In the end, he tried a different strategy, just trying to get something stable. The confidence was quickly draining away, leaving desperation in its place.

Tyler cocked an eyebrow, needing only two more cards to complete the challenge. "Being hasty only means you're making more mistakes. Remain calm, make sure every move is deliberate, not rushed," he advised, making the student look up with far less confidence than he'd started with. "Use a stiff fingered tap, not a slap. The slap transfers too much speed and too little control. You need just enough speed to flip it, yet not enough to make it land on the face of the card," he said wryly, knowing there was a good chance quite a few would be confused why he was helping the one who challenged him and tried to make him look like a fool. "Though I will admit that the higher the card house is, the harder it is to land it in just the right way," he said wryly.
