Just one big Coincidence (Overly and Infinity)

"Yeah, sure!" Kaoru agreed happily, following him up the stairs after seeing his key tag. This was amazing! The raven-haired woman couldn't wait to tell Drew all about her day! He would be completely astonished to know that she had a knew friend! She could already imagine her best friend/brother dropping whatever book was in his hands as he turned to stare at her, his glasses askew atop of his nose.

"That's so funny how we live on the same floor," she told him as they climbed up the last flight of stairs. Looking up, she could already see the marker on her door indicating her new place of residence. She couldn't wait!

Coming to a stop by her door, Kaoru turned so she was leaning against the wood and smiled at Gary. "Tonight was fun," she started, giving him a large smile. "So...I'll see you tomorrow right?" she asked, happy to see him nod in response.

Her grin expanding, she bounced forward slightly and gave him a quick hug before turning and opening her apartment door with her keys. "Night!" she called back to him before closing the door gently.

Letting out a breath, Kaoru let a goofy smile stretch across her features before alerting her friend she had arrived, knowing this school year was going to be different from the last one. "Tadaima Drew!"

Gary was glad Karou had a good time, for once in a long time, he too, had a fun time. He stopped at her room to see her off, she was probably looking forward to seeing her friend Drew.

"So...I'll see you tomorrow right?"

Gary nodded with hesitation. "Of course. Perhaps we can walk to school tomorrow? If classes are still in session for yourself." He suggested and watched her enter her room, nodding at her final words for the night.

"Good Night to you too." He happily replied and gave her a small wave and watched the door close quietly. He sighed 'Well that went well' he thought, not with sarcasm, but with an optimistic intention. He made his way to his room which was just a couple of meters away, it was actually quite convenient, this day was rather convenient in general actually.

He came up to his room and quietly opened it, to see Sean sprawled out on the couch snoring away. He lightly chuckled to himself and made his way to his room, where he dreamt happy thoughts.

Gary eyes sprawled open as the alarm clock sounded. He almost reluctantly woke up, but he remembered that he had a biology trip to celebrate the end of classes, it was going to be bare bones fun in the sun at a nearby beach. Unlike usual he got out of bed without struggle and made his way to put on some clean clothes. He pulled out a pair of shorts that reached to about his knees, a red shirt and a black tie to top it off, but then he remember he should grab a pair of swimming trunks. He straightened out his hair and brushed his teeth and he was just about ready to head out and experience his day. Maybe he'd meet his newly found pal, Karou on his way out. She had school related stuff too, right? Upon exited his room he noticed Sean leaned over the frying pan, making toasts.

"Here" Sean blankly said, he sounded hung over and tossed over a piece of toast. It was fresh out of the toaster and boy was it hot. As Gary caught it it light stung his hands but Gary smiled to his room mate and nodded.

"Thanks." He confusedly replied, Sean never did these kind of things. He must have gotten really drunk. Sean nodded and went back to his eggs. He looked very determined to make them to perfection.

Gary put his flip-flops on and stepped into the hallway of his complex and began to make his way to the stairs. He hoped today to be a good day at the beach.

Slowly blinking, feeling the small patches of sunlight, Kaoru felt herself start to drift into awareness. Groaning, Kaoru knew she was awake wayyy before her alarm. Turning onto her side so she was facing away from the window, the raven-haired woman let out another groan, burying her face into her pillow, not wanting to get up.

She hated mornings.

Remaining still for a few moments, the twenty-year old college student sighed before slowly pushing herself up. There was no point in denying it. She was awake at - she took this moment to glance at her alarm clock on the other side of the room - 5:35 AM. She let out another loud groan.

Slowly Kaoru rose to her feet and sleepily padded over to her arrangement of shelves and turned off the alarm on the clock before looking out her window.

Letting her plans start to drift to the front of her mind, the raven-haired woman padded out onto her balcony, letting the light breeze caress her tired face.

Standing out there, Kaoru slowly grinned, remembering her plans for the day. While Drew would be stuck at the house today - doing nothing but studying - Kaoru would be enjoying her day at the beach with her biology class. Giggling happily at the thought, she turned when she heard a few short knocks on her bedroom door before it opened.

Blinking, Kaoru wondered why Drew was looking into her room when she caught sight of the clock and her eyes widened. "Ahhh!" she cried, distressed.

It was already 6:15. And Kaoru needed to leave by 6:30.

"Oh crap!" she cursed, hurrying back into her room, ignoring Drew's chuckles. Moving quickly, she grabbed her clothes and bikini and hurried into the bathroom next door. Showering quickly, Kaoru towel dried her hair, before pulling it up into a messy pony tail, having already changed into her bikini with a pair of short shorts and tank top over it.

Dashing out of the small room, she hurried into the kitchen, thanking whatever Gods existed that she'd packed her bag last night. Though she ignored the voice in her head that claimed it was because of Drew.

"So, having fun?" a smart voice brought her out of her thoughts as she double checked she had her phone, wallet, and keys.

Shooting Drew a dark glare, Kaoru shot him the finger before snatching the untouched piece of toast from his hand. "Shut up, I hate you." she stated before rushing out the door. "Bye!" she called out, 'hearing her roommate chuckle as she shut the door behind her.

Letting out a small breath, she turned hurriedly, crashing into someone.

Gary wasn't exactly paying attention when walking towards the exit to the south. When he heard a door open infront of him, he slowly lifted his eyes up and saw a raven haired girl sprint his direction. Instead of allowing her to face plant into his rib cage he caught her by the soldiers and took the the time to distinguish who it was exactly, he was pleasantly surprised.

"Morning Karou." He politely greeted and slowly removed his hands from his shoulders. "Are you going to school?" He asked and backed up, so they wouldn't be too awkwardly close. People could very well get the wrong idea.

With a piece of toast hanging from her mouth, Kaoru tensed slightly upon feeling hands on her shoulders as she only just left her apartment. "Mmfm?" she mumbled, blinking before she finally looked to see who was holding her. Eyes widening, Kaoru could only flush, realizing who stopped her from making a complete fool of herself.

"Morning Karou." Gary greeted, slowly letting go of her shoulders. "Are you going to school?"

Feeling her blush only deepen, the raven-haired woman could only nod as she silently reached up to grab the toast. "Uh...Y-yeah..." she murmured, smiling shyly. "Y-you as well...?" she asked praying he didn't think she looked like an idiot.

Gary nodded, he wondered why she was in such a hurry? School wasn't starting for another hour or so from now. Perhaps she went to an out of town school or something? Gary lightly scratched his and lightly stifled.

"Yep, I was actually just on my way." He replied happily. He felt a light blush press against his cheek as sensation of glee coursed through his body. Maybe he could ask her to walk with him, that wouldn't be too suggestive would it? He stood a little awkwardly for about two seconds before he looked back to her.

"Would you maybe like to walk with me then? To school that is?" He offered with a smile.

"Would you maybe like to walk with me then? To school that is?" Gary asked, leading her to perk up.

"S-sure!" Kaoru grinned happily.

As they started down the stairs and out of the building, the raven-haired college student glanced over at her companion. "So, what do you have planned for today?" she asked, curious. He had said he wanted to be a doctor, so she would assume that he had some type of....biology class?

Gary gave her a pleasant smile and lightly tugged on her sleeve. "Wonderful, I hope you don't mind we go my way. You go to <Horribly clichéd name goes here> University, right? Or is it a special vet school out of town?" Gary asked. He always had a weird route for things, often longer, but he liked to be in quiet and desolate places rather than noisy streets.

The directions he took to the University was especially nice.
