Just Friends! We Promise! (Erwin x Clock)

"DON'T YOU EVEN THINK OF GOING TO THAT DOOR! SEI! SEI! COME BACK, I SWEAR TO GOD SEI! GET BACK HERE, IM NOT DONE WITH YOU, IF YOU ANSWER THAT DAMNED DOOR THEY'LL BE HELL TO PAY, I'LL BEAT YOU SILLY LIKE YOUR FATHER DID, I'LL BEAT YOU UNTIL YOU CANT SPEAK!"

Reisha Fukawa's screams echoed through the house as Sei ran to the door, his mother had been doing anything to cause a fight between them since Sei returned home and it was destroying the bond that they'd shared previously. Sei no longer loved Reisha, his own mother had driven him away,

But he understood why, Yves, Leaving, Badmouthing his father.

She'd already beaten him silly. You wouldn't think a woman so small and fickle as Reisha had it in her really. But she did, and it came in the style of a currently bleeding lip and nose, a black eye to add to Sei's collection of wounds from their countless fights.

He opened the door slowly

"We're in the middle of something, so unless its urgen- oh." It was Valentine. He didn't even know what to say. He just stood there, stony faced... showing no signs of tears, Sei hadn't cried at all in the last week.

It was good that Valentine had learned to keep his emotions in check, or else the shock couldn't be hidden well. As Sei opened the doorway, he feigned indifference though his heart skipped a beat. Pretended he hadn't heard the screams. Sei looked absolutely horrible. But it was different than before... This time, it was somebody else's doing. And Valentine had a hint to who might it be. He'd heard stories of the Fukuwa mother, his own mother was quite the gossip.

Valentine stood in the doorway for a moment, before gently touching Sei's bleeding lip. He felt a sense of anger, a mother wouldn't really do that to her child, would she? Eva Krane had a violent deposition but the bruises she'd left on Valentine were more out of accident than anything else. Yet the injuries that Sei possessed didn't look like accidents.

"Are you going to invite me in?" He asked, voice firm. Protective lover mode on.

Sei flinched slightly when Valentine touched his fingers to his bloody lip. He nodded slightly and stood aside so that the blonde could enter the house, he sat down slowly, face screwed up in pain.

"She wont stop screaming, It's amazing how the woman hasn't torn something yet, really is."

"WHO IS IT, SEI?!"

"
SHUT UP YOU OLD HAG!"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!"

"
I SAID IT'S VALENTINE!" whoops.

"THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT."

"
just wont stop. Hasn't since we got back, everything I say causes an argument and it sucks, really really sucks. I'd move out but I've nowhere to go... but I don't want to put up with it. But hey! you'll be proud to know that I haven't cried once since I got back!" He laughed sourly, his hands shaking as footsteps echoed above their heads.

Valentine just remained standing, tapping his foot slightly. "You have to get out of here." He finally said, taking a seat beside Sei. "You can stay at my house until your mother calms down. I suppose she's just frightened and sad. She as a lot to deal with." Although that was no excuse for her actions, of course.

"I'll go talk to her." He stated, getting up. The offer to stay at his own house came more out of guilt than anything else. Put in perspective, if Valentine had stayed in contact with Sei, this wouldn't even had to have happened. Instead, he'd been busy with his own issues.

Taking a deep breath, he walked up the stairs. A few hushed whispers, some clanks and a defeated scream later, Valentine slowly made his way down the steps. He appeared void, voice hollow. "I think you should go pack Sei, for a few days. Bring your old teddy bear if you'd like. It seems as if you need it." Insert weak but slightly evil laugh here.

Sei nodded slowly, looking around at the blonde and catching his wrist before he went.

"Are you okay? She didn't do anything to you did she?" He whispered, letting go of Valentine's wrist and staring into his eyes, his own were close to watering.

((sorry for the pathetically short post, im cosplay shopping))

(that's cool tbqh. who are you cosplaying as?)

"Oh my god Sei, you went a week without crying, you won't start now." Valentine said firmly, but his expression remained vacant. "And damn it, you're mother didn't do anything to me. I'm the crazy, manipulative psycho b•tch around here." He gave Sei a reassuring smile, before ushering him to pack. As soon as Sei was out of sight, Valentine rang up the youngest of his sisters, Selina. Young, as in 23, but by far the youngest of the brood.

"Extra place setting for dinner tonight." He answered the phone.

"Hello to you too. Who is it?"

"My nightmare."

"Rei?"

"Close."

"Sei?"

"See you at dinner tonight." Valentine made to close the phone.

"Ah- No wait, Eva says to invite Reisha."

"Hell no. Fine. Alright." He hung up, contemplating wether he could lie his way out. Decidedly not, he just left a message on the Fukuwa's home phone. She could come or not. Her choice.

Five minutes Later, Sei came back downstairs with a large bag in hand, enough clothes and makeup to last him the next four days. And also, in his left a lavender coloured teddy bear. Valentine had brought it for him on his ninth birthday and although an eye had popped off and he was missing a foot, Sei still couldn't sleep without the bear. It embarrassed him rather a lot and it was something that he was quite ashamed of.

He was holding it's hand like he would another human. It was quite a cute sight really... Sei looked so incredibly young in those few seconds, it was almost like he was ten again, charging down these very same stairs to land in the safe arms of Valentine. Their sleepovers would last days...

Sei had come to a complete halt on the stairs, just thinking of then snuggled up in the same bed, kissing and touching.

Sei seemed distant, so Valentine held his hand and walked the rest of the way with him. He looked so innocent, that for a moment, Valentine could almost forgive all his shortcomings. Instead, he just bit his lip, keeping silent during the walk to the Krane manor. It brought back some nostalgia. They hadn't walked the same path together in over 8 years. Valentine wasn't even sure wether he should bring Sei home. Eva thought the boy was rather peculiar, and most likely gay. lmao.

~

During dinner Valentine remained eerily quiet under the scrutiny of his mother. Eva was a nice woman, most of the time. After the awkward dinner with Selina and her small family, he led Sei to the garden. It was getting dark, but there was still plentiful light. Katrina had been a fan of cherry blossoms, so they were statically placed along a path. "I'm not leaving you alone with Selina's husband, alright?" He laughed softly, but his eyes remained dull.

Sei sat down slowly, still much taller than Valentine. He chuckled at the little comment that the other man made and sighed slightly, fixing his hair before leaning his head on Vallie's shoulder and closing his eyes slowly. He took the Blonde's hand in his own and linked their fingers silently. There hadn't been a moment like this since London.

Being a little shaky, Sei leaned his head up slightly and laid a gentle little kiss on his lips.

"We used to sit here all the time... When we were little..." He whispered, closing his eyes again and pulling back from Valentine's face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

Valentine felt a faint flush come about. It was the kind of reaction Sei had on him. Thankfully, the fading light made it harder to see. Valentine frowned at Sei's apology. "You're too... Nice." Being rather observant, he couldn't help but notice that Sei treated him like a porcelain doll. One that would crack with just a touch. And quite frankly, Valentine wasn't used to it. Most were rough. And maybe Valentine was a hazardous mix of a sadist and machoist. "You can so whatever you like." He offered, leaning back on the wooden bench. He felt the flush growing, realizing what he'd suggested. Not that it was usually this embarrassing. Gah. Valentine was always so confused around Sei.

Sei's eyes widened slightly, what was Valentine doing? He'd only wanted to steal a kiss but was the blonde now offering more? He was so confused. Talk about double standards Vallie.

But Sei wasn't refusing this offer. He didn't really think that Valentine understood the fact that Sei had been waiting for something like this for years. So when it came so abruptly, he didn't really know. But pushing his feelings aside, He leant over Valentine and buried his shaky hands in his hair, kissing him timidly, trying to to lie on top of him in fear of hurting him.

Valentine wasn't really afraid of getting hurt apparently, as he just pulled a reluctant Sei right on top. On the back of his mind, the possibility of his mother watching lingered, but he forcibly pushed the thoughts aside. Mother never used the lights planted in the garden, thankfully.

Despite feeling slightly silly (they were on a bench at like 10), he just busied himself, biting Sei's lips. woot. If Sei's movements were gentle, Valentine's were harsh.

(they just kiss and touch right? despite being quite turned on lmao)

(They would do, it is them after all xD )

Sei pulled at the other man's hair slightly, kissing him more and trailing his fingers down his sides.

Some time later, the two were snuggled up in the guest bedroom where Sei was staying for the night, sharing sweet kisses and caresses. The way they did when they were small. When the ravenette was tired, a small yawn escaped his lips.

"Valentine?" He whispered, his hands on the other man's hips.

(time skip to morning~*~*magical)

Valentine woke early, as always. Early as in 4 am. He turned, seeing Sei's sleeping figure. Despite himself, he couldn't help but smile a little. Sei was really handsome. Unfortunately for Valentine. Idly, his finger trailed down the man's slender neck, arm, hip. Valentine frowned, noting the way Sei's bones stuck out. Sighing, he sat up, the covers shifting.

It had been about 2 when the Valentine and Sei had stumbled into bed. They'd stayed up late talking, so Valentine roughly calculated about an hour of sleep. "Wake up sl*t." Affectionate nickname was affectionate.

One dark purple eye fluttered open slowly, followed by the other, Sei smiled softly.

"I'm awake now, W****." He said with a little laugh. He leaned back, yawning slightly.

"Mmh... I'm still tired though..." He whined, rolling over and snuggling against the blonde beside him.

"Why'd you always wake up so early?" He asked, rubbing his eyes slightly.

"Because my brain was programmed that way," Valentine replied, pushing Sei aside. Rejection, ouch. And in a second, he was up just as a knock came on the door.

"Breakfast is ready, Val." It was Katrina's voice. Valentine was surprised she was at the Krane house, but perhaps, the family had decided to stay a while here. He turned to Sei with a tilt of his head, "Shall we go, My Lord?" To eat breakfast at like 4. His family was full of early risers.

He grumbled slightly as the blonde pushed him away, watching as he spoke with Katrina and biting his lip.

Despite being sort of forgiven by Valentine, Sei always felt guilty about sleeping with Yves. Seeing him and Katrina, their little boy... It made him feel like shit to know what he could've ruined. And quite frankly still could if word got out.

"Not hungry." He mumbled, of course he wasn't. It was four in the morning and Sei had stuffed himself at dinner lastnight. In his opinion anyway.
