My name is Mello and I am currently looking for a (preferably) long-term roleplay partner. I’ll try to be considerate regarding your time and just cut to the chase but fair warning, I ramble.

My requirements are fairly normal, I’d say:

• Patience

See, now this might be a tad inconvenient for some of you, but I don’t know how some people manage to pull countless quality posts out of their hats daily, because I sure as hell can’t do that. The best I can give you is a few posts a week, but don’t worry, for what I lack in frequency, I’ll try make up for in quality.

• Friendliness

If we’re going to be roleplay partners, chances are, I will try to befriend you at some point; I will most certainly want to know everything about you. Do you take ketchup with your pizza? How do you feel about the rapid decline of the world as we know it? What is your greatest fear? I want to know everything about you, from the sunny personality to the deep dark thoughts you like to lock up in your brain. However, if you are against that, I’ll try to tone it down. No promises though. :3

• Roleplay Sample

Let’s be honest here; I will stalk you. That is a certainty; the curiosity is too great. With that being said, I still require a roleplay sample of your choosing (if only to sustain the illusion of privacy). Rest assured, I will provide one or more roleplay samples of my own, to keep things fair. Note also that I'd like a partner with decent roleplay experience :3

I have no posting schedule requirements other than the fact that once we start with the roleplay, a minimum of one post per week (I can stretch it to two weeks in some cases) will be expected. Also, I do not appreciate one-liners; try to write at least two paragraphs.

• Planning

Roleplay is fun and all but you know what’s even more exciting? Research~

If we’re planning on starting an original roleplay, or even an alternate universe (more on my list of preferences later) we'll be investing some decent hours into worldbuilding and lore research. I believe that creating a list of plots for people to choose from is a bit restricting, and would much rather brainstorm with my partner (However, I do have one said list, in case of emergencies ^^)

Preferences

• Characters

I know some people may not like this, but I like creating original characters more than roleplaying canon ones. (No, wait, don’t leave, let me explain myself! >.<) The fact that the character is yours contributes more to your confidence in portraying said character, I believe. I am very insecure when it comes to roleplaying canon characters because I never know just how OOC they might be. It’s a problem of mine, I’m working to overcome that.

With that being said, I am not fully against roleplaying canon characters, just be warned that it will take me longer to respond to posts because I will need to be 100000% sure that I’m not butchering their personality. I like to believe I can portray any gender, although I tend to lean more towards female characters because of familiarity. I am not against doubling, because I believe that a roleplay consisting of only two characters can become a little bland.

• Genre

Here we go.

I am a fan of fantasy, first and foremost; it doesn’t matter if the sub-genre is urban, medieval, dark or supernatural. Everything is welcome~

The other genres I will happily agree to roleplay are: horror, adventure, apocalyptic, slice-of-life and romance (though I will greatly appreciate if romance is kept as a sub-plot rather than the focus of the roleplay).

Things I will not touch with a ten-foot pole unless heavily intoxicated or held to gunpoint: Mecha.

• Fandoms/Pairings

As I said before, I am a little adverse to roleplaying canon characters. However, I have nothing against using an anime/book/movie/tv-show’s universe as a setting. Feel free to suggest anything :3

I am very open minded regarding pairings.
