Welcome, everyone. This thread will serve as the repository for all player characters. Please only use this thread for posting your character sheet. If we need to discuss your character, it will be done in the OOC thread or the Discord chat. Note that there is also currently a single character limit.

If your character is accepted, I will rate the sheet and notify you in the OOC thread. If there is something that needs changing, I will either discuss it without in the Discord chat, or PM you on the site if you are unavailable there, so please keep an eye on both. Things to keep in mind for character approval is are that your characters are all second years, so there should be a reason why they survived their first term, but they are still students, so please do not go overboard in their power levels.

With that out of the way, don't be afraid to go wild! Do something weird or whacky! You don't have to get your sheet accepted on the first attempt, and I'm sure we can workshop whatever you want to do into the RP even if it needs some weeks. Better to ask forgiveness than permission, or something.

History:
Over the course of several years, the Kosaka clan has developed an impressive reputation, well-known for its strength and effective exorcisms. It is recognized as an irreplaceable pillar in the jujutsu community, undeniably worthy of the respect it has accumulated. However, the clan has its own share of issues, most of which have to do with the relationship between the clan's two halves.

The clan is divided into two parts: the main family and the branch family. Each part has its own role to play, neither allowed to deviate from the system that has been in place for as long as anyone can remember. The main family is comprised of the clan's strongest members. Because they have the most power, they are expected to hold leadership positions and be the first to charge into battle against Curses. Unlike the main family, the branch family plays a support role, never able to do more than assist those who have assumed the lead role. This is due to the Heavenly Restriction that has been passed down through the bloodline, affecting each member from birth.

The branch family as a whole is unable to use cursed techniques. While they still possess cursed energy, the Heavenly Restriction causes it to become positive when an attempt is made to channel it into a technique. Because this severely limits their effectiveness in combat, members are primarily taught to use reversed cursed techniques to heal combatants from the main family. The divide between both sides has led to more success in the field, but it has also caused irreparable damage at home.

The branch family's role is to support the main family, but its members are expected to do much more than heal wounds. If necessary, branch members are expected to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the main family, risking their lives so those with higher status and greater strength can live to fight another day. While healers may be a rarity among sorcerers, there is no shortage of them in the Kosaka clan. To those who value strength above all else, the life of a branch member who can do nothing but heal can never equal the life of a sorcerer capable of exorcising powerful Curses. Because they were born with thinner blood, they are seen as lesser. Unfortunately for Ren, he was born into the branch family and raised to be a sacrificial lamb, never allowed to deviate from the role he was given.

In the beginning, he had no idea about the ugly side of his clan. He only knew that he was born to be a supporter, and he didn't mind it. He admired his parents and other members of the branch family, knowing they helped many people by healing them. It may not have been a glamorous role, but they still saved lives, and that was the most important thing. He spent his childhood training to become a healer, hoping he could one day be like his parents. However, that dream died when he realized what it meant to have the same role as his mother and father. Like many other members of the branch family, his parents gave their lives to save others. While he felt grief, his anger was much stronger. He hated the idea that he was only living his life so he could prolong someone else's. He was his own person, not a tool.

Unable to accept the circumstances behind his parents' deaths and the future that awaited him, he left home and all the traditions he despised. For the sake of becoming his own person, he distanced himself from his family as much as he could, crossing the sea and applying to study at UCA. He wanted to be strong enough to live for himself and by himself, never having to think about putting someone else's happiness before his own.

Gear: Hunger- A sword that drains cursed energy from the target with each strike. The cursed energy is then transferred to the user and the sword itself, making it more powerful.

Iron Wind- A powerful blunt weapon that can be played like a flute. The sound it produces damages and disorients the target. The area of effect can be widened by feeding cursed energy to the flute.

Sloth Claw- A kusarigama. When the chain wraps around an object, it cuts off the flow of cursed energy.

Demonic Rain- A bow that can fire several arrows at once. The total number depends on the amount of cursed energy used.

Red Shade- A paper umbrella with a sharp point used for puncturing. When opened, it acts as a shield to protect the user from cursed techniques. Its offensive and defensive capabilities can be amplified by the amount of cursed energy used.

Wrath- A three-sectioned staff with a long reach. It possesses the greatest raw power out of Ren's weapons. With each strike, its power increases.

Jujuzu: A bracelet made of prayer beads that Ren wears on his wrist. By feeding cursed energy to the beads, they increase in size. The exact size of the beads depends of the amount of cursed energy poured into them. The beads hover in the air while in use and can be directly controlled, but doing so is difficult while in combat. To deal with this, their movements are usually based on predetermined commands.

Hands of the Daredevil: A pair of ebony gauntlets. Ranked as special grade cursed tools, these gauntlets are extremely powerful, increasing the user's physcial abilities and cursed energy output by several levels. However, as a cost, whoever wears these gauntlets suffers their curse, forced to endure extreme pain as their body is destroyed. While Ren can repair his body with his reverse cursed techniques, he cannot do anything about the pain, only able to bear with it as he tries to keep himself together, both physically and mentally.

Abilities:
Healing- While Ren's Heavenly Restriction prevents him from using ordinary cursed techniques, it significantly increases the effectiveness of his reversed cursed techniques, allowing him to use powerful healing abilities. However, he doesn't act as a healer traditionally should. Instead of tending to his fellow sorcerers' wounds, he uses reversed cursed techniques to heal himself while fighting on the front lines, allowing him to stay in the battle for longer periods of time. In addition to recovery, the reversed technique also allows him to increase his physical abilities, adding to his existing strength.

Cursed Tool Proficiency- Ren is highly skilled in the use of cursed tools and martial arts, having trained with multiple weapons over the years.

Uwa- A shikigami that resembles a large, black snake. While it does have some offensive capabilities with its poison and sharp teeth, it's primarily used to store Ren's cursed tools. Because Ren cannot use cursed techniques on his own, he must use a talisman as an intermediary to summon Uwa.

163 cm with a small frame, has short brown hair and dark brown, dispassionate eyes. Usually seen wearing a modern interpretation of a Victorian maid's outfit, combining tracksuits and aforementioned aesthetic, though it should come as no surprise that she is capable of wearing something else to blend in with her peers.

History:
There are greater sorceror families than the Fortinbras, to be sure, but no other family has built their reputation on the aspects of servitude like they have. Selling their services as elite servants and assistants, the Fortinbras have forged their own uniqud place in the world of sorcery with their own unique set of skills and abilities. Where no other would deign to dirty their hands with clean up, to deal with smaller threats, or simply to exist as an extra helping hand, the Fortinbras step in, with the added proposition of pay and recompense, of course.

Aranea Fortinbras is the youngest of three sisters from the main branch of the family. With succession off the table, unless something untoward happened to her sisters, Aranea only holds station above the rest of her family by way of being part of the main branch. She truly was the runt of the family, too, being the youngest amongst her generation, and her own Cursed Energy started off surprisingly weak, allowing her the minimal amount of perception of spirits and the like. Due to this, she was mostly pushed around by her family. Unable to act as a Sorceror in the earnest, she was instead relegated to simple combat and cleaning duties. Aranea learned, at a young age, that it was easier on her to just ignore everything they threw at her and to keep her expression dispassionate and uninterested, and eventually found solace in consuming Japanese media.

It took a while before her powers finally began to flourish. It was not a time for celebration either- no one really cared. No one actually thought much of her after all the years she had been around, and eventually, she left on her own accord to attend UCA London as the rest of her family did. The one year there did not pass peacefully for her either. Being part of the Fortinbras family meant that people naturally saw her as part of a bizarre family with weird practices. There was a lot of stigma behind their choice to 'sell their services', and it did not improve her standing in anyway amongst her peers. Thankfully, she more than made up for it with her skill and her ability. Combining her inspirations from her Japanese shows, she elevated herself from 'Fortinbras mercenary' to 'Fortinbras Ninja Maid', which was certainly unique. It was perhaps after her showcase that she was more than just a family name that people began to accept her presence.

During her short time in UCA London, she apprenticed under a Grade 1 Sorceror by the name of Rex Kruger, who further honed her skill with a knife, as well as instructed her on hand-to-hand combat. Kruger himself was an oddity. Before every mission, he would eat a pack of chewing gum, under the belief that it helps him think- motion keeps the blood flowing to the brain, or so he thought. While she initially resisted the idea, this was how Aranea herself developed her gum chewing habit as well. Together with Kruger, Aranea attended to a couple of missions involving both spirits and curse users, and accomplished them with notable ability. Her promotion to Grade 2, however, came to an abrupt end after being interrupted by unexpected trials, and while she managed to put down the threat with proficiency, it also led to the death of Kruger. The loss of a teacher was cause for discombobulation amongst these staff, and her promotion was quickly forgotten in the mess.

Despite this, however, she was one of the chosen students of UCA London to be sent to Baltic Branch.

Gear:
Knives: Aranea's specialty lies in her ringed throwing knives that allow her to combine her Innate Technique with to make the best out of it. Though she is mostly seen having eight at any given time, it can be assumed that she has more stored somewhere else. They don't seem to be anything special, and just seem to be knives that you can buy in bulk at any store, with the exception of one special knife.

Victoire: A special throwing knife that can be classed as a Second-Grade Cursed Tool. It is distinguishable from the rest of her knives as the only one with a blade that has a hollow center. It emits a 'blade' of Cursed Energy from its tip, allowing it to cut from a further range than its blade would imply, being able to lengthen its reach to about the length of a short sword. It is Aranea's chosen melee weapon, and its unique trait allows her to fake out her actual range of engagement.

Chewing Gum: It isn't particularly relevant as a weapon, but Aranea's weird obsession with gum has her always be carrying some around with her. She always eats a pack before every mission.

Summoning Talismans: She uses these to summon her personal Shikigami. She uses Japanese paper Talismans to do the job, mostly because Western summoning tools are a little too clumsy to carry around.

Abilities:
Thread: Aranea's Innate Technique allows her to manifest fine, but strong, wires made of Cursed Energy. These wires can connect to anything at all, but she primarily uses them in conjunction with her throwing knives for both offensive and evasive manoeuvres. She can send Cursed Energy down her wires to create an explosion at different points of the wire to cause some damage. With her knives, she can even channel said explosions towards their tips, allowing them to deal delayed cursed damage. She can change the length of the wires at will, and can create wires of varying sizes.

Shikigami Conjuration: Aranea is capable of summoning a single Shikigami that resembles a large black hound, named Baskerville. It doesn't have much in way of power or speed, but is surprisingly resilient, and Aranea uses it expressly to delay her targets.

Vow of Servitude: Aranea's Binding Vow that takes action only when she makes a formal pledge of servitude with another person that lasts for a stipulated time of increments of 10 minutes, up to 60. During this time, her actions can be controlled by the person she has pledged herself to, though she can act on her own if no commands are given, and she must remain within 15 metres of the person. During this period, her Cursed Energy shoots up by a considerable amount, and it increases in power based on the time devoted. This unique Binding Vow has a time limit imposed on it, and Aranea can only 'sell' her services for up to 60 minutes per day. Furthermore, she has to limit her output of Cursed Energy when the Vow isn't active.

Agility: Aranea's most notable physical trait is how nimble she is. She won't hit particularly hard, but she, herself, is a nuisance to even touch.

Knife Combat: Given her choice of weaponry, Aranea, is at the very least, competent with her knives, being able to execute some very nimble moves with them, and understands their weight and balance extremely well to wield them expertly. By combining Thread with her knives, she can also turn them into quasi-kusarigama, and she is just as deadly with that as she is with normal knives. She is also notably quite skilled with wielding other weapons, particularly short swords and daggers, but prefers her smaller knives due to their size and weight.

Hand-to-Hand Combat: Nothing special, but woe betide any who underestimate her capabilities. She specializes in speed, and relies on hit-and-run techniques, avoiding extended combat without a weapon.

Extra:
Despite her clear allusion to ninjas and their aesthetics, Aranea keeps her other Japanophilic tendencies under wraps.

There are days in his life that can only be remembered behind a curtain of red. Time and moments, memories of instances where the only thing felt were the emotions that boiled over due to his response towards, something. The impetus is always long forgotten, but the dregs of anger have always stuck around. For a long, long, while, all of his memories were naught but a haze of anger. Funny then, that Ira remembered the day in which he was shocked to his core, and the red curtain lifted, so perfectly.

On that fateful Saturday, Ira felt release. Bitter-sweet painful release as it felt like every last dreg of anger exploded from him, and in a sense it did. On that day Ira awakened to the family heritage that his parents sought to run away from. Cursed Energy, an eruption of it that burned him from within as it escaped his body in a violent, uncontrollable blaze. An explosion of energy formed at his back, like wings. He remembered his parents' faces: Shock, surprise, disappointment. He remembered how it felt to burn: The sting, the soreness, the catharsis. Did he burn for minutes? Or hours? It felt like days. When it was all over, and the blaze of Cursed Energy petered out just as randomly as it came. And all that was left when the curtain was lifted away, was clarity, and calm. And the need to sleep for a week.

In the months after, Ira witnessed the world through eyes unclouded. He remembers the days spent with his family, learning of his origins during picnics under the sun. Of his family's history as sorcerers who escaped to America to live a normal life. He learned of the Cursed Spirits he could see clearly now on afternoon strolls. He learned about his new normal. Though, to Ira, the world of curses was the only one he got to know with any amount of clarity.

It wasn't long after the first blaze that Ira had to leave his family. Ira found himself seeing the world in shades of red, shades of rage. By the time the curtain fell in totality, another blaze occurred. The second blaze was hint enough that he needed outside help. So his parents called upon the heritage they left behind, asking for their first and last favor. Ira remembered the tears in his mother's eyes as he waved goodbye from the airport terminal. He headed to his extended family in Europe, to Paris, and soon after to the UCA branch therein. Ira was taken in by his grandparents. Jujutsu Sorcerors that worked for the church, exorcists. It was through them Ira learned of Jujutsu Sorcerors, God, and the Heavenly Restriction that He placed upon Ira. The impetus for both his rage and the blaze.

The time to follow would be spent in silence. Ira only knew enough French to follow two things in his life: orders, and Mass. But that was enough for him. After all, it was in silent reflection and the prayer that followed where Ira began to find solace. The specifics behind the cause of his blaze came to light and he was able to find solace in his days as a first-year Jujutsu Sorcerer. His life found purpose in the elimination of Cursed Spirits. Friends and allies both gained and lost. Lives that could be saved and those that couldn't. In the small parts of life both bitter and sweet, he found purpose. And above all, clarity.

- Was a really angry child growing up without knowing why.
- In his early childhood he awakened to his Cursed Energy when it violently exploded from him.
- Learned about the world of Jujutsu sorcerers that his parents ran away from.
- Exploded again.
- Sent to his family in Paris who were still active in the Jujutsu world.
- Found the power of God and curse manipulation

~Grace in Glory~
Family relics too new to really be called as such. The dual firearms make use of Cursed Energy by acting as a conduit to fire high-density blasts. Cursed Energy poured into the firearm is altered by the Cursed Tool and the user in kind. The Cursed Energy bullets gain the qualities of.

-Imbue: Shots can be imbued with different effects that activate after hitting a target.

-Collateral: Shots will not harm those deemed as an enemy by the user. An enemy isn't always considered one who stands against the user.

-Silence: Shots fired from these guns make no sound, and so long as they hit a target that possesses a certain level of Cursed Energy, they leave no residuals.

[Abilities]
~Glorious Expand~
Upon striking its target, the bullet of Cursed Energy will expand outwards, causing a concussive blast originating from the impact point. The more Cursed Energy packed into the shot, the larger and more violent the blast. Additionally, a more powerful shot takes longer to prepare.

~Sinful Blue~
The first shot of Sinful Blue by itself does not damage. The target is washed with Cursed Energy that amplifies the effects of other Cursed Techniques that strike it safe for those from Ira himself. However, a mark is left where the target was struck. If that mark is hit again by one of Ira's shots, the Cursed Energy around the target erupts, dispelling the technique while dealing great damage.

~Heaven's Horizon~
A shot with the most range out of any of Ira's bullets at 1600 meters, or just shy of a mile. The only of Ira's techniques that can penetrate multiple targets.

~Faithful Delay~
A shot that stays in place once it has reached a set destination. The bullet of cursed energy can then be activated remotely according to Ira's will. The trajectory of the shot can change too, regardless of what it was before the bullet stopped. This technique can be used in combination with any single additional technique. A binding vow has been placed upon the move, dictating that the longer a shot stays in place, the more power it accumulates. All at the cost of making an immediate activation far weaker than a normal shot.

~Heavenly Restriction: Explosive Tendency~
Violent explosions, a nasty temper, anger built up from endless curses against the world. The build-up and breakdown of negative energy is what he excels at. Ira is unable to exercise fine-tuned control over his Cursed Energy without the assistance of a Cursed Tool. Any amount of Cursed Energy control beyond a meager amount of body enforcement will cause his Cursed Energy to explode from out of his body and spray indiscriminately from his back. The trade-off is that Ira's well of Cursed Energy is deep. While his Cursed Energy is pouring out, he is able to pull from the flowing energy and use it for crude yet powerful Curse Manipulation. However deep his wellspring of energy may be, it will run dry quickly, even faster if Ira uses the energy while it flows until it's left him all but empty. Such a state isn't something to be relied on, just capitalized on in a worst-case scenario.

[Extra]
Ira is a certified priest and justice of the peace. He has officiated three weddings, a fact he is quite proud of.

Appearance:
Leo stands at 5 feet 10 inches (177cm), weighing 163lbs (74kg) with black hair and deep, cold blue eyes reminiscent of a boundless sea. His demeanor typically reveals no signs of animosity, but upon closer inspection the malice in his eyes is as clear as day. He has a very creepy, delinquent-esque smile that curves his eyes and reveals a slightly sharper set of canines, like a wild animal who just caught its prey after days without food.

History:
Hailing from Reggio Calabria, Italy, Leo's parents knew he was going to be a trouble child from the moment he could walk. Of course, validating sayings like "Mother knows best" and "Its a poor father who doesn't know his child", they were right. Growing up, Leo was the walking epitome of freedom. Although he was intelligent and well educated growing up, he did what he wanted, when and how he wanted, no matter who was around. This unrestrained attitude of his gained a lot of attention from locals, and his reputation grew more and more with each passing day. The biggest person who's eye he caught, however, was the Don of the Brambilla Family, one of the most dangerous organized crime syndicates in Italy. Being a lover of chaos, Leo was more than happy to join them, utilizing his cursed techniques to perform a multitude of tasks for his second family. Of course, most of these tasks were related to his position as a sorcerer, something he was quick to realize he was being taken advantage of for.

The self-ruler he is, at the age of 15 Leo 'killed' the Don for using him, 'took over' the Brambilla Family, and disappeared. In reality, he and the Don were in a car accident, that only he managed to survive. He used the Don's death as a chance to gain notoriety and amass power in the Family, guaranteed that neither he or his family would be hunted or killed, appointed another member as 'acting boss', and left to Bucharest to enroll as a UCA student and see what kind of thrills he could find there. As a first year, Leo discovered that he had a strong love for hunting and killing cursed spirits, and began calling himself the "Huntsman".

But now, it seems that Leo has bitten off a bit more than he can chew. He knows that he'll manage, though. Besides, he's survived everything else up till now, right?

Gear:
Harbinger - Leo's cursed tool. A sharp, curved sickle with a medium-length chain attached to the handle for ranged attacks.

Leo's cursed technique allows him to create various markings, each having different qualities.

Mark of Omniscience - Allows Leo to view any area he has placed this mark at. Similar to a security camera, Leo can only see whatever
is directly across from his mark, in a 180 degree radius. Normally, he can place the mark on any surface by simply looking in its direction, but Leo can also place the mark on people and curses by touching them. If the mark is on a "living" thing, he can see through their eyes, cursed techniques and all.

Mark of Omnipresence - Leo can place two of these markings, either by simply looking at the location he wants to place it, or by touching the location. He typically places one in a certain spot, and the other directly underneath him. Placing one of these marks directly under his feet causes him to switch places and go to the other mark. He can also swap the positions of objects, and other people.

Mark of Death - Leo's strongest technique. By touching anything that has cursed energy with both hands, Leo can place a mark of death on it. It starts off as a small, black mark, but grows larger and begins to cover the victim as time passes. As the mark grows, it drains cursed energy and weakens its victim. Leo always knows the general direction of the individual he has marked, but does not know its precise location unless it is an inanimate object that he has memorized the location of.

-- Leo is skilled with his cursed tool, and is very talented when it comes to using his markings and timing their usage perfectly. He is extremely swift and conditioned, often being able to chase down most cursed spirits. Because his Cursed Technique isn't very offensive in most situations, he relies heavily on instinct and natural talent to carry him in fights. While he is capable of strategizing and going along with a plan, he usually goes with the flow of combat if he has nothing else to stick to.

Extra:
  • Leo loves provoking and messing with others. Its one of his favorite pastimes.
  • He also loves lying. Even if his lies aren't consistent, he'll lie just for the hell of it.
  • He doesn't disclose any information regarding his past with the mafia, especially the fact that he is, technically, the Don. Even when members of the family try to contact him, he doesn't act like a boss at all. Of course, he still appreciates the money he's made from idly sitting on his throne.
  • He is a smoker. He smokes 1-3 cigarettes a day. To counter smoker's breath, he carries a small metal tin of Chipurnoi Glitterati candies around with him.
  • His ears are pierced.
  • He is the type to drop whatever he's doing to exorcise a curse. He'll also occasionally make games out of his exorcisms by doing things like purposefully letting weaker curses escape, to make things worth his wile.
  • Having some sadistic traits, he finds pleasure in causing harm to others. Luckily for his classmates, he mostly takes this out on curses.
  • Leo is surprisingly loyal to the UCAs. He has zero plans of leaving or betraying them, and sometimes expresses genuine hopes to become a promising sorcerer. Probably because its the easiest way to hunt curses.
  • He is fluent in Italian, Romanian, English, and Spanish. He didn't plan on learning all of these, it just kind of happened as time went by.

History: Tomoaki was raised by his mother all of his life. He never met his father. It was unknown whether he was alive or not but most people assumed he was dead. One night, Tomoaki's hometown was attacked by Cursed Spirits and a huge massacre occurred. Dozens of people were killed and the town was decimated. While on the run with his mother, from seemingly nothing, she froze up. She was suddenly brutally murdered right before his eyes. He was frozen in terror but could sense he was somehow in danger as well. At that moment his cursed energy awakened and he was able to see the petrifying fiends that killed his mother. Before they could kill him though, he was saved by a Sorcerer.

The Sorcerer would go on to educate and train the young boy on all things Curse and Jujutsu related. Tomoaki swore he would become a strong Sorcerer so he could not only avenge those he lost, but also be able to protect those he gains in the future. Eventually he got enrolled into a Jujutsu High School.

Tremor:
This innate technique grants Tomoaki nigh-absolute control over vibrations, allowing him to manipulate them in a variety of ways.

Royal Hell Push: Tomoaki slows an object or organism's molecules down, giving the appearance of time slowing, putting the object/organism in slow motion. It looks almost as if an invisible force is heavily resisting the object or organism.

Impact Push: Whenever Tomoaki strikes, he can use vibrations to alter the size and power of shockwaves and waves emitted from the impact.

Deception Hit: When Tomoaki gets hit by blunt impact, his body absorbs the vibrations. He still takes damage because he hasn't nearly mastered the application or timing of this technique. But when he can apply it correctly and time it, he can fool his enemy into thinking their attack actually did something when it did close to nothing.

Ancient Demon Wave: Tomoaki generates vibration waves in different ways and sizes that can push targets over, propel them away, shatter them, even cause earthquakes by shaking the ground.

History:
An Italian native hailing from a group of Cursed Sorcerers that call themselves Witches. Adina was born to regular parents, but was quickly orphaned when her natural compatibility with Cursed Energy begun to attract spirits to her biological home. She spent the first few years of her life being passed between foster families who were all well-meaning people, but were unable to understand, let alone deal with, the phenomena that seemed to follow the young girl.​
Eventually, she was intercepted in the journey between one home and the next, and had the nature of Cursed Energy, Spirits, and Sorcerers explained to her in quite an unceremonious manner. While she was hesitant to trust a group that had, for all intents and purposes, kidnapped an impressionable young woman, the thing they were saying made sense. For the first time in her life, Adina found herself speaking to somebody who seemed to perceive the same world that she did. Whether they were telling her the truth or were just a cult playing to her insecurities, she figured that even if the worst came to pass, she'd at least wouldn't feel crazy in the coven's company, even if she genuinely was.​
After joining the coven she became familiar with the world of Curses, and the humans who do battle with them. The coven was formed first and foremost to serve as a safe place for those with a talent for cursed sorcery, but its senior members also offered lessons on becoming a practitioner of cursed arts to the young men and women of the clan. To nobody's surprise, most of the young folk within the clan didn't even think about it before accepting the offer, and Adina was no different. She'd been born into a different, and much more dangerous world than everybody else, and it seemed senseless to her to not go out of her way to understand it as deeply as possible.​
She spent most of her remaining childhood within the coven, learning the ways of the cursed arts, and the hidden history of the world. It wasn't until a few years ago that she started to think of departing her clan, dissatisfied with her progress, which had started to slow in the later years of her adolescence. Ultimately, she left the coven behind and crossed the border in order to study at the Paris branch of the UCA, hoping that a more worldly host of experiences would serve as hot new fuel for her growth as a sorcerer.​

Gear:
  • Unwritten Moments - An ancient tome that is sometimes blank, and sometimes scrawled with random gibberish. The Unwritten Moments are a record of many things that were, and will never be again, and the maw of its pages serves to that which touches them as forgotten as its contents. Any cursed energy that comes into contact with the Unwritten Moment's pages is absorbed, effectively negating whatever technique or attack it came from.
  • Generational Arms - A series of seven short swords, infused with cursed energy. Each sword is carved from the arm bones of a different lady-sorcerer from Adina's coven in a ceremony following their death. They all bear a different design that reflects their life and disposition, and are each infused with the cursed energy of their friends and family. This reinforces them to the point where they can harm spirits but does not infuse them with any special abilities beyond that.
Abilities:
  • Cursed Energy Amplification - Adina is able to tune her cursed energy to the same 'wavelength' as that of her allies, and then transfer it into their attacks. By doing this she amplifies the effectiveness of their techniques exponentially, using a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of cursed sorcery to cause her energy and her ally's energy to react together multiplicatively, rather than additively. He is able to buff her own cursed energy too, but it is much less effective.
  • Cursed Energy Dampening - The opposite of her Amplification, Adina instead tunes her cursed energy to oppose that of an incoming attack and forms a barrier that is especially effective against it. This is more difficult to use on the fly since she can't rely on her familiarity with an ally when facing an enemy and because she needs to retune her energy each time she forms a barrier.
  • Sabbath [Familiar] - A familiar that resembles a bald, mutilated goat. Seven exposed ribs peek out from gory wounds covering his flanks, and each of them is made from one of Adina's Generational Arms, essentially making them into their container, which seems to be his only purpose.
  • What A Terrible Night [Binding Vow] - A binding vow common in Adina's clan. In daylight and under any moon other than a full one, Adina's cursed energy is limited to a little less than half of what it normally would be. When a full moon hangs in the sky, however, it is bolstered exponentially, turning her from a support-type Sorcerer into a frontline duelist, or perhaps just a much better support sorcerer, depending on whatever the situation would call of her.

History: Fu grew up with her father moving from place to place, never settling in a place longer than a year. She never knew her mother, and every time she tried asking about her mother, her father would evade the question. It annoyed her, but she could see the pain in his eyes whenever she asked. And besides, she could tell he was keeping many more secrets from her than just the truth about her mother. It felt as if they were running away from something all the time, and sometimes she even felt like he was afraid of her, or of her doing something bad, for some reason. Still, he constantly told her he would one day find a way to give her a normal life where they wouldn't have to keep moving, and they could finally call a place home. She could finally make friends she could keep and live a safe life. He was sincere. He had lied enough to her for her to know when he wasn't. Even though it was a tough life for both of them, she tried to not make it any tougher for him as she could.

The biggest secret Fu's father kept from her was the significance of her lineage. Fu was of the Zantong clan from China. An old family of cursed energy sorcerers not unlike the Zenin clan in Japan. Unlike the Zenin, the Zantong became corrupted by their own blood powers and turned into a tyrannical family of curse users feared by all. Cursed sorcerers from other nations allied together to stop the Zantong clan's evil chaos, eventually defeating the strongest of them and forcing the weakest members to flee into exile. For hundreds of years, the Zantong have been hunted down by other cursed sorcerers to try and stop the Zantong from ever coming to power again.

Not every Zantong member gave into the power-lust, though. Especially the distant relatives of those that managed to escape. Fu's father resents the fate their ancestors placed on him, his late wife, and his innocent daughter--cursed to always live in fear of their lives. He's spent his entire life learning how to fight the temptations his ancestors fell victim to, like his father did, and to try to find a way out of the endless hunt so that, at the least, he might give Fu a chance at a normal life. As Fu grew closer to becoming an adult, he made a desperate gamble. He made contact with the Bucharest cursed sorcerer academy and offered to turn himself in and to give them all the information he had on the remaining living members of the Zantong dynasty he was aware of. In exchange, he wanted full amnesty and protection of Fu. Surprisingly, after some tense negotiations, they agreed. He told Fu that he had finally found a way to fulfill his promise to her and to give her as normal of a life as he could, but that he would have to be imprisoned for some crimes committed in the past. Fu had obviously always suspected her father was running from the law or something, so it made sense. Not knowing the true nature of the crimes, Fu trusted her father's half-explanation and agreed to go along with the deal. Since then, she has spent the last two years under the supervision of the Bucharest Academy, with no contact with her father, training to use her curse powers not just for self-defense, but to defeat cursed spirits.

Gear:
- Rosewood Exorcism Sword: A wooden sword made out of sacred rosewood. It has the ability to harmlessly absorb cursed energy from things it hits. This allows the wielder to exorcise cursed spirits by absorbing their energy until they run out, dispel certain kinds of curses, defend against cursed attacks, etc. While extremely useful in fights of a spiritual nature, the sword isn't that high grade and can only absorb a moderate amount of cursed energy before it risks overloading and breaking. Against things without any much cursed energy, it's no better than whacking it with a wooden stick.
- Seven Third-Eyes: A bracelet made of seven awakened third-eyes. The Zantong made the high grade cursed item by stealing the third-eyes off of victims of theirs. Only a member of the Zantong lineage can wear the bracelet and activate its powers. Each third-eye grants a different kind of supernatural vision, but only one third-eye can be activated at a time, and, when one is, it constantly drains cursed energy from the user. Each third-eye also requires a spiritual revelation unique to it in order to be able to activate it. Fu has only managed to unlock two of the seven eyes. The first let's her see cursed energy like an IR camera, and the second let's her project her vision remotely allowing her to move her vision around freely like a camera drone.


Abilities: The Zantong lineage is infamous for their dominating blood powers. Put simply, they can use their power in one of two ways. The first use allows the Zantong to ingest someone else's blood and gain control over that person's body. If a small amount of blood is drunk then it gives the Zantong only a weak hold on their victim, and it can be fairly easy for someone trained in the use of cursed energy to break free from. But if the Zantong manages to drink a significant amount of their victim's blood, the domination becomes stronger and can eventually be nearly impossible for even powerful sorcerers to break free from. Normal dispelling effects don't work either. About the only surefire way to break someone from a Zantong's enthrallment is to make the Zantong puke up the blood, or killing the Zantong. Even worse, if a Zantong decides to drink someone dry, the person dies and the Zantong absorbs all of that person's mind. Every memory and piece of knowledge the victim had becomes the Zantong's no matter how secretive or locked away in the recesses of their mind it was. The power they gain from drinking someone's blood gives it a delicious taste that's highly addictive to the Zantong driving them to desire more and more victims. It's this addictive quality, and the maddening effect of absorbing too much knowledge, that resulted in the Zantong clan's decline into a force of pure evil in the world. The second use allows the Zantong to still exert some level of control over a person they've failed to drink the blood of by instead applying some of their own blood on the target. The amount of blood the Zantong covers their opponent in, as well as how potent their cursed energy is versus the target's, determines how much control they can have over them. While not as powerful as the full domination of drinking the victim's blood, it has a wide versatility in the kinds of effects it can have. In essence, it's the same as putting a curse on someone. It can be anything as minor as making their movement more sluggish, their vision blurry, or making them frequently stub their toe, or it can be as strong as full paralysis, convincing hallucinations, or torturous pain. These effects need not follow any physical laws, and, therefore, can be quite strange like levitation, polymorphing, or stopping them from being able to speak a specific word. This use of the blood powers can also be used on inanimate objects, but, regardless of what it's applied to, anything under the effect of the Zantong's blood can have the effect dispelled like any other normal curse. The effects of this use are also temporary and never last too long.

Fu has been taught how to use her blood to curse opponents and/or objects. She accomplishes this by writing a curse on a slip of paper in her blood, sealing the effect with her cursed energy, and then attaching the paper slip to her target either by hand or by throwing it at them. The curse activates so long as the slip of paper touched the target--staining it with some of her blood. She can write up curses in advanced, but that gives her less flexibility to make curses that'll be effective. On the other hand, she can write up curses mid-battle for more flexibility but at the expense of it taking time, concentration, and requiring her to be bleeding. Currently, Fu is only able to place mild effects on anything that isn't grade 4 or weaker and could probably only apply weak effects to anything grade 2 or higher.

Extra:
- Thanks to her father's attempts to ensure Fu never gives in to the temptations of her ancestral powers, Fu can't stand the sight of blood. Including her own. When writing her cursed blood paper slips she has to close her eyes and writing them by muscle memory.
- Fu is completely unaware of who the Zantong were.
- Fu's father has also kept the first use of her ancestral blood abilities a secret from her. What she doesn't know exists can't tempt her.
- Having traveled all of the world, Fu has learned to speak many different languages, though she still has a Chinese accent strangely.
- Fu has never been to China, but she really wants to someday. She romanticizes Chinese fashion, food, culture, etc. as an overcompensation for having never been to her homeland.
- Fu has a hard time forming friendships or relying on others because of how she grew up.

BRIEF HISTORY:
The Starforge clan is a respectable clan of cursed sorcerers, mostly known for their swordsmanship and innate ability to control at least one of nature’s elements. In addition, they are highly devoted to bringing honor to their family name, so they spend most of their days honing a variety of skills, from swordsmanship and cursed techniques to soft skills. In terms of battle, they value honor above many things, so they would not resort to underhanded tactics just to win a fight against their opponent -- save for cursed spirits.

Nyx Starforge, a daughter of the clan leader, grew up in a loving home environment with three older brothers. Under the supervision of their father, the four began training together at a young age. They enjoyed competing against each other in mock battles; their competitive spirit motivated them to strive hard and develop their abilities. Most importantly, their father had instilled good moral values in them, raising the four to have a good head on their shoulders.

Despite growing up with love, warmth, and guidance from her father and older siblings, Nyx’s childhood was not absent of any hardships. In the hands of a Special Grade, her mother had passed away when she was only seven years old. After receiving reports of a Grade B spirit frequenting an abandoned theme park, her mother’s unit had been sent to scout the location. Unbeknownst to them at the time, a Special Grade had been awaiting them. Being the fastest one in their party, she’d offered to stay behind and distract it while the others escaped, telling them she would soon follow after.

She never returned.

GEAR:
  • [Cursed Twin Blades] Black dual blades that can amplify the cursed energy the user puts into it, strengthening its cutting power and allowing its user to slash its target to several pieces.
  • [Death Iron Fan] An iron fan that can be used to create strong gusts of wind to attack opponents and deal AoE (area of effect) damage. It can also be used to block or deflect some ranged attacks. The size of the fan is controlled by its user, and one can enlarge it enough to glide upon it as a means of transportation.
  • [Throwing knives] Not a cursed tool, but she takes several of these with her at all times. When throwing these, she uses her cursed energy to direct the knives for more accuracy, stronger attack power, and increased range.

ABILITIES:

Innate Ability:

  • [Cursed Winds]
    The ability to manipulate the air using cursed energy. This allows the user to create strong winds that can slash the target or blow them away, among other cursed wind techniques. Nyx likes to use her cursed techniques in tandem with her tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of her attacks. As her innate abilities are mostly long-ranged, she uses her sword to fight in close combat.

Cursed Techniques:
  • [Featherlight] This allows Nyx to make use of her wind abilities to support her weight and aid the flow of her movements, allowing her to move at great speeds.
  • [Wind Scythe] Nyx can create cursed energy blades of wind that she can guide to attack her target. When used in tandem with her sword, a blade of wind is released in the arc that the sword is swung in, allowing her to hit enemies from a distance even if the sword does not physically touch them. If the sword cuts them, this technique deals deeper damage, capable of slicing through tough targets.
  • [Drilling Air Bullets] Several shots of compressed air mixed with cursed energy. The damage inflicted depends on the power gap between Nyx and her opponent. Against cursed spirits much weaker than her, this can pierce them like normal bullets. But against opponents stronger or of equal strength, this attack would be similar to strong blasts of rubber bullets.
  • [Cursed Vortex] An advanced variation of Wind Scythe. Nyx creates a large hurricane that sucks the target in and violently slashes them. In her current power level, this ability would demand her full focus as it requires exceptional control of one’s cursed energy. She avoids using this ability as it leaves her vulnerable for a few seconds. Her current limit is 3 seconds, twice a day. It leaves her exhausted after use.

'Mikey' is a boy of average height and sturdy build, standing at around 5'8" (172.7 cm) and weighing 154 lb (69.8 kg). His black hair is styled in traditional 'punk' fashion, with shaved sides and a long crop of messy mohawk down the center. His eyes are auburn, almost maroon, and he sports multiple ear piercings. Completing his aesthetic of total non-conformity are his tattoos: one, a large, winding dragon tattoo that snakes up the entirety of his right arm before curtailing along the side of his neck, and the other, a set of three black bands, each with varying style and design, encircling his upper left bicep. His style of dress only contributes to the Look™ of a boy both diametrically at odds with society and daring society to blink first.

History:
'Everybody dreams. Whether they remember it or not, at night when they're asleep, their minds become a playground. Or an insane asylum. Or your second-grade classroom on a day you forgot to wear pants and now everone's staring at you like you're not wearing any pants.

Yeah. Everybody dreams. I'm no different. The only difference is my dreams are always trying to kill me. And sometimes when I wake up, they slip through.'


Mikey was an ordinary kid. An ordinary kid with a nightmare problem. 'They're just dreams,' his mom and dad used to tell him on the nights when he'd awake in his bed, screaming, drenched in a cold sweat. 'They can't hurt you.' But the truth was, to Mikey, they weren't just dreams. They were the most horrific fucking things he'd ever seen. They were grotesque, all black, inky and formless, but also made only of talons, and beaks, and claws, and barbed wire. And they were coming for him. They wanted him. They wanted to rip him apart and devour him. They were greedy, and unthinking, and wild. And every night he ran from them through a forest of dead, rotting trees. Every night he hid from them, daring not to make a sound, daring not to breathe, as he heard them and their metallic claws scratching their way across the ground, strewn with fallen leaves. Every night, they'd find him. And then—

And then he'd wake up. Always the same dream. Every night. Always. Since he was a little fucking kid. One can only imagine how that fucks with someone. After a while he'd try and go as long as he could without sleeping. If he never closed his eyes, he'd never have to see those things again. He hopped himself up on coffee, energy drinks, anything he could get his hands on that would keep his eyes open, and the Nightmares at bay. Lack of sleep eventually caught up to him. It made him irritable on the best days, and downright hostile on the worst. He was miserable, but at least he didn't have to fight for his life anymore. Though it was inevitable that he'd pass out every now and again. And when he did, the nightmare started again. Only worse. The creatures were larger, more horrifying, than they'd ever been before.

His parents tried to help him as best they could, but they didn't understand. How could they? 'They're just dreams,' they had said. 'They can't hurt you,' they had said.

That was before one of Mikey's nightmares dragged itself out of his dream and gutted his parents while they slept. Mikey was the one who found them, after awaking from an uncharacteristically pleasant, nightmare-less sleep (one only has to wonder why).

The scene was gruesome. The official cause of death was attack by a wild animal, though no sign of the creature entering or leaving the house could be found. Mikey had been a suspect at first, before authorities admitted that it would've been physically impossible for the athetic, but still human, teen to do what had been done to his parents. He was released from the police station and picked up by an unfamiliar black sedan that whisked him into a whole new, fucked up world. Before then he'd never heard of Curses, or Sorcerers, or any of that shit. But when presented with the option of either learning to hone this dark spectre that haunted his dreams or being executed on the spot, Mikey chose, somewhat reluctantly, the former.

Since then, he's learned that the monsters in his dreams are a form of Cursed Spirit called Shikigami.

Gear:

Sleeping Mask: A nifty little Cursed Tool that was custom-made for Mikey in consideration of his 'affliction'; when he puts the mask on, he is able to instantly fall asleep no matter the circumstances. When he wears it with the 'Positive' symbol facing outward, his dreams are shielded from the Cursed Shikigami that constantly plagued him otherwise, although his sleep is never restful and he wakes more-or-less as tired as when he went to sleep. Conversely, when he reverses the mask so that the 'Negative' symbol faces out, his dreams are like a beacon for the Shikigami to flock to him.

Abilities:

Innate Technique — Dream Eater: Mikey's technique allows him to pull his Dream Shikigami—referred to collectively, by Mikey himself, as Moroi—into the real world. He doesn't know how many of them there are, or if they're all just fucked up reflections of something larger. All he knows is that they come in wide and varied flavors of fucked, and every single one of them hates his fucking guts.

    Standing at a not so intimidating height of 5'5" (165cm), Norie has a pretty agile and athletic build. Her lack of physical strength is compensated by her speed (and cursed energy). Currently, her hair is dyed white but was naturally black before. Most of the time, her hair is styled in a ponytail, leaving her bangs to frame her face. She's typically seen wearing comfortable, athletic clothing that allows her to move around more freely. Norie doesn't really care what color the clothing is as long as it's not orange or yellow. There are no notable piercings or scars but she does have a couple of tattoos.

History: Renee was born into a military family, her Father was a captain 13th parachute dragoon regiment and his role obliged the family to pick up and move from city to to city to follow his career. If that was all Renee might still have grown into a fairly well adjusted child, but she had other difficulties in fitting in with other children. Renee tended to stare off into space at odd times and claimed to see strange creatures that no one else caught. Renee's father loathed the idea that any child of his would be weak enough to be bullied, so he took an interest in straightening her out and toughening her up. This attention took the form of some pretty brutal training derived loosely from the Captain's special forces experience: he taught Renee how to fight, how to survive in the wilderness and even shoot. Renee's father also began punishing her harshly whenever she saw the strange creatures, telling her they were just in her mind.

Renee never really stopped seeing those bizarre little creatures, but she did get very good at ignoring them and although she never really learned how to socialize properly she did become tough enough that she was able to fight off any would be bullies. When she was 14 Renee saw the largest of the strange creatures she had ever seen in her life. THe others had resembled large, deformed insects no bigger than a bird or a cat perhaps, but this one was huge: a furry, corpulent mammal of sorts with a sickening, human face deformed with savage glee, its bald head brushing up against the ceiling of Renee's living room. It was the scariest thing Renee had ever seen in her life. Renee wanted to run, or scream, or pick up a chair and batter the thing, but she did none of these things, she knew better know. The creature wasn't real Renee told herself, it was just a hallucination, hell her mother was sitting right there on the coach as if nothing was wrong! The creature had to be in her mind!

Then the creature picked up Renee's mother and bit her head off. Renee watched in stunned horror as the creature devoured her mother, staining and matting its greasy fur with her blood. Then somehow her Father's training kicked in and Renee stealthily made her way to the nearby closet while the creature had its back turned and hid herself in the nearby closet. It wasn't real Renee told herself, none of this was real, she just had to wait until her Father came home and he'd act like everything was normal, in fact he'd punish her for hiding in the closet but that was fine because her Mother would still be alive. But when Renee's father did finally return, hours later he did something Renee had never seen him do, had not truthfully thought he was capable of. Renee's Father entered the living room, took one look at the creature and the tattered remains of his wife and he screamed and ran. The movement, or maybe the sound caught the creature's attention and it was on him in seconds, tearing the muscular soldier into chunks of wet flesh.

Renee hid in that closet for nearly eight hours, almost totally motionless while the creature aimlessly wondered around her house. It was only hours later when a sorcerer who happened to be passing by sensed the creature and entered the house to dispatch it, causing Renee to tumble out of the closet as the last of her adrenaline finally left her. The sorcerer explained a lot of things to Renee, about the creatures she had always seen, how they were real and dangerous but Renee might have the potential to fight them. Preferring action to actually processing her feelings, Renee jumped at the offer and the sorcerer, Lucius Thierry, took her under his wing. Renee took to the new world that had been revealed to her reasonably well; her training as a jujutsu practitioner wasn't even necessarily stricter or more painful than what her Father had put her through, although she didn't make many friends at the Paris school either. Renee advanced through her training at a study rate, eventually taking on real missions and moving through the ranks. It was shortly after her promotion to rank 2 that Renee was informed of her transferral to the Baltic branch, a prospect she regarded with apathy. Renee had never really formed an attachment to any place before and the Paris branch was no exception. Just like her Father, Renee would go where she was needed.

Gear:
Rosaline: A bayoneted, scoped modele 1907/15 M16 Berthier Bolt action rifle, it absorbed negative energy from soldier after soldier struck down by its bullets and is classified as a special grade cursed tools. A bloodthirsty weapon, Rosaline builds up cursed energy the longer a target is held in its sights without killing. The charge is reset if the wileder lets their target out of the rifle's sights, but with patience and skill it's possible to deliver tremendous energy with one, fatal shot.

Luette: A 1913 Le Français classified as a first grade cursed tool. A fall-back weapon capable of dealing moderate damage with its curse imbued bullets, Luette has an odd quirk which empowers the last bullet in each 7 round magazine, causing it to deal substantially more damage than the others.

Curse Grenades X2: Hand grenades imbued with curse energy. These grenades only have energy equivalent to a third grade tool and are classified as such, but because they expend all of that energy in one explosion they are more destructive than that rank might imply, though of course as a trade-off they can only be used once and must be replaced between missions.

Abilities: [Innate Ability] Little War: Renee can channel her cursed energy into objects or people to render them invisible and disguised from sensory techniques. Renee can use this ability on herself and teammates to hide them from sight but she's also fond of using it to conceal traps or dangerous terrain for enemies to blunder into.

Appearance: Azura stands at an average 5'4, she is athletic in build but nothing too impressive. Her pale skin is a stark contrast to her long raven hair and lilac colored eyes, complimented by the sharp features of her face.

History:
Azura Tanin was born out of wedlock from a Japanese Sorcerer and a Russian woman with very minimal cursed energy. The first few years of Azura's life were spent with her mother, living a rather uninteresting life in a smaller Russian village. With few people around, there wasn't much energy to attract curses, even with Azura's bloodline.

Until one day, shortly after Azura's thirteenth birthday, when her cursed energy awakened. The awakening attracted only a single curse, though it still managed to slaughter her mother before Azura was able to muster up all the energy she had in her state of fear. With no training and no ability to control her cursed energy, Azura unleashed all that she had stored up within her to exercise the curse, burning herself and half the village up along with it. Azura escaped with only burn scars along her hands and lower arms, thankful for the dense snow outside to cool her burning body before any more damage was inflicted.

By the time Azura's burns had scarred over, her father had come to collect her and take her back to Japan with him. Though her father, Miyata, had been around for her birth, the two hadn't interacted since. Azura had no memories of him, and fought against the man she barely knew taking her to a far away country just because she no longer had a mother. As a minor, she had no say against her father gaining full custody of her.

For the first few months, Azura refused to train, pushing the curse energy deep down within her, until it exploded. After setting their home on fire, Azura finally agreed to let her father train her in curse energy. A series of "small" fires later, Miyata gave up his occupation as a sorcerer to move their little family out of Tokyo to focus on his daughter's training where there wasn't so much curse energy.

And so began the series of fires, followed by a move, followed by more fires, and another move. By the time she was 16 her father realized that he couldn't handle her, and so he sent her to UAC Bucharest to develop her curse energy. Though her father claimed it was to protect her and help her become a stronger, more controlled curse user, Azura feels that her father simply didn't want her and gave up on her.

Gear:
Dragon-scale gloves - gloves imbued with Azura's own cursed energy over the years, she wears the gloves to protect her hands from her cursed energy fire. This allows her to unleash her cursed energy without fear or harming herself and not waste energy on protecting her body.
Rope Dart - A cursed tool imbued with cursed energy to exorcise curses. A long and flexible 15 foot long rope with a purple metal dart attached at one end for throwing at opponents and a grip at the other end for Azura to hold on to. It is good for long range attacks, to strike the opponent and pull the weapon back or to bind the opponent with the rope.

Abilities:
Dragon Flame - Azura is able to unleash a barrage of cursed energy in the form of purple fire over a desired area. She can direct it freely, but the wider the blast the stronger the impact.
Dragon Summon - By covering half of her face, Azura can become a spiritual medium, allowing her to summon a dragon named Murakami. It is not a full summon like a Shikigami, only a spiritual manifestation of the beast. It is a good close range attack, as the tail of the dragon's spirit must be attached to Azura at all times, otherwise it loses its connection to her and dissipates. The dragon's abilities are manifested by Azura's cursed energy and by calling out Murakami's name.

Azura is better at long distance attacks than close combat, and using too much of her abilities takes a severe toll on her physically and mentally.

Extra:
Even is she was able to fully control her powers, Azura would still set things on fire just for the fun of it.

Appearance:
Shizuka is quite the tall lady, towering over most girls her age at 175 cm. Her height coupled with her equally blessed curves has led to a lot of remarks on her appearing older than she is, furthered by the bold makeup and the short outfits she wears. She's also quite misunderstood because of this, as her appearance might come across as intimidating due to her cat-like features.
As one might've guessed already her hair is not her natural colour, but bleached blonde along with her skin being spray tanned. One might wonder how much is fake and how much is real.

History:
She had been an ordinary girl doing ordinary things. Living life within the four walls of society, school, friends and family.

It was a simple life really, attending school during the day with club activities during the evening and a part-time job at weekends. Coming home after all that was the thing she treasured the most, those nights of getting the table ready for when the door would open and reveal her aunt. Watch the hurt and tiredness unwind in relaxed shoulders and that faint smile that she always gave before sitting down to eat. The usual questions of how was your day and habitual complaints on how their apartment was too small; the walls too thin and hence, the room too cold the lyrics to the TVs droning. Although it was just the two of them, she was happy. Her expression never changing from the ones on the framed photos of her and her aunt.

It was a simple life, really.

Saturday were hospital days, bringing armfuls of Chrysanthemums to the bed of her ------. They would sit for hours, reading magazines and arranging little fashion shows for each other. Some days going for walks with her wheelchair when she was feeling up to it and then just watching her laboured breathing during others. "Bring me more Chrysanthemums next time." Always the goodbye with that ghosting smile and forced laughter "The disinfectant smells so bad".

Then it changed. It had started with the eyes, a kind of droopiness permeating in heavy lids and dark shadows extending into the hollows below. She would blink and watch her pupils remain dilated, how the tawn on her irises faded like the colours on an old painting. Matted, she became matted and grey; shrinking inwards on her frame until the skin was pulled taut over all the dales and edges.

Her aunt changed as well, jolting at her touch and avoiding her eyes when she sought them. She would part her trembling lips, swallow, then close them again. Any unsaid words ebbing out in the little cries Shizuka would overhear through the wall at night and over the shoulder looks she gave when she thought the girl wouldn't notice.

It was a simple life.

Abilities:
CURSED CORPSE: Devour
The user makes a myriad of mouths appear over her body which absorbs the cursed energy from any surface they come in contact with. The mouths are somewhat sentient and might get the idea to speak but you would do best to ignore them. The mouths can also store items in them and combine up to two items in the “storage”; creating a spiked bat out of a baseball bat and nails in her storage. Any item in the storage is registered as a "part of her body" and she can channel her cursed energy through them to strengthen the weapon.

Greed Mode
Once the user has absorbed enough energy she can enter “greed mode” and adapt a bigger, bulkier cursed corpse form. In this mode, the cursed energy absorption area of effect is expanded up to 15 meters around the user. Boosts physical prowess and resistance. The user gradually loses control in this mode, going berserk at worst.

Frankenstein
The user's unique nature as a cursed corpse enables them to swap body parts if needed by using cursed energy to assimilate new limbs/organs as their own assuming they have something binding the two parts together. Requires time and sometimes operation for gnarlier wounds.

Extra:

  • She does not feel pain when injured.
  • Can maintain a somewhat "alive" appearance by feeding on cursed energy.
  • Interests and hobbies include: obsessing over visual kei artists, fashion and makeup.
  • Tend to rush in headfirst into battles or she will often volunteer to be bait/tank.
  • Short term memory, be prepared to answer the same question three times under the period of an hour.
  • Hoarder.
  • Once dreamed of being a pop idol and knows a lot of pop choreographies as such.
