overview.
To many, there is no greater goal the obtaining the legendary treasure, the Book of Blood and Bone. Pirates, rogues, and nobles alike have risked their lives venturing to the End, just for a chance at the wealth and riches that would come with attaining the Book of Ends, as it’s less formally known. The knowledge held inside the ancient tome itself is even more valuable, said to hold magick and spells and information the likes of which the world hadn’t seen since the Book was first stowed away, during the time of the great sorcerer Magellan.
It’s been almost five hundred years since, and the End has become a battlefield and graveyard for all those who are seeking the glory and treasure found there. Nobody knows exactly where the Book of Ends is stashed, but it certainly hasn’t stopped them from risking their lives to find out.
You’re one of these young, hopeful people, with dreams of using the Book for whatever means—a happy life, wealth, fame, health—you see fit. And you have the opportunity now to leave home and set off on the adventure of a lifetime, on the brand new pirate ship known as the Dawntreader.
With a captain who doesn’t quite know what he’s doing and no crew to speak of, it might be risky. The seas are certain to be filled with unforeseen dangers—bad weather and lack of food often killed more than any foe. But you have a dream.
All you need to do is say yes.
Do you have what it takes?

Hello there, it’s drvgstorbarbie back at it with a roleplay after what seems like forever! This idea was heavily inspired by One Piece, as well as a few other dystopian/fantasy shows and books. I’m looking for a few writers who want to help me flesh out the world and plot, hopefully long term!
I’m hoping for a diverse cast of characters who are all on the ship for their own reasons, but ultimately learn to work together to achieve their goals. They’re bound to fall into mishaps, get distracted on their adventures and get themselves into no shortage of trouble, but they all want nothing more than to succeed.
If the journey to the End is something you find yourself wanting to join along on, please leave a comment below and once I’ve gaged enough interest I’ll DM those intrigued with the OOC link! Discord will be our primary form of OOC talk, as a preface.
In the roles tab, I’ll give a few ideas for roles but feel free to stray from them and come up with your own! These only serve as a base for ideas.

Navigator
taken
In charge of the ship’s maps and routes, the navigator is naturally skilled in mapmaking and, of course, navigating! They’ll ensure the crew is on the right course (or not) and that they’re headed to where they’re going!
Swordsman
taken
Every ship wouldn’t be complete without a master swordsman (or woman)! Trained in swordplay, the swordsman serves as a line of defense for the crew.
Musician
open
Such a long journey as this one would be sad indeed without a musician on board! Skilled with voice and instrument, the musician brings a joy and livelihood to the ship that is very much needed.
Cook
open
Pirates get hungry too, especially on adventures such as these! Someone’s going to need to cook for the crew, and thank god the Chef is there to do so! A hungry crew is a dysfunctional crew, so it’s for the best they stay fed.
Lookout
open
Flying nimbly from pillar to pillar on the ship and scrambling up to the crow’s nest in no time at all, the lookout is skilled in ensuring the crew is never caught blindsided while at sea! Even on land, the lookout’s sharp eyes are invaluable.
Doctor
open
Somebody has to patch up the wounds of the crew, and that’s what the doctor is there for! Without them, they’d surely not make it far! Sickness and infection run amuck at sea, and without a doctor there might not be any crew to make it to the End.

rule one.
This is an semi-advanced to advanced literacy roleplay! This means each post should contain at least one well written and easy to understand paragraph, though more is appreciated! We all lack muse sometimes though, so just give us something to respond to! Each character should be posted for once a week, though I get it if stuff comes up and you’re not able to, just say something!
rule two.
Characters are to be aged 18 and up—we only want adults on the ship! Realistic face claims are to be used as well. There is no character limit, and the roles listed here aren’t the only ones available, though I do ask that you don’t bite off more than you can chew. All characters are to be accepted by me before they’re able to be played in character. I shouldn’t need to explain, but characters are expected to be realistic and fleshed out. I have hopes for a diverse cast.
rule three.
OOC talk and chatter will be held on discord, so while it isn’t required it is certainly recommended. Without it, you’d be missing a very large chunk of plotting and OOC fun. The link will be provided once enough interest has been gathered. This goes for the lore and cs as well, the links will be provided once I get a group together!
