Name: Adel Chase

Background: Adel was born into well off family in a crime ridden city. His parents were not around very often being too busy at work, so he was taken care of by his grandfather; who was also his personal hero. His grandfather was the former police chief and a community leader, often speaking out against the state of the city and trying to improve the living conditions of the people.

Adel decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and join the police force. He graduated from the police academy at the top of his class. He was assigned to the homicide division and there met his partner and future best friend, Alexander Walker. The two shared a dream of cleaning up the city and as a result where bird of a feather. The pair solved many cases in their career and built up a excellent reputation, with it being said that the two were the best officers to join the force in the past decade.

However, one day in the middle of July, his partner had been found dead. Clearly murder, but the the cause of death was bizzare to say the least. Adel attempted to investigate his partner’s death, but any attempt at opening an investment ended up being bound with red tape, evidence being tampered with, and the crime scene being contaminated. The perpetrator had bribed and intimidated several officers and higher ups to stop any attempt at an investigation. To the point that the only thing he could do was clean up his partner’s office and move on, leaving the trail cold. The only thing he could do; until he got a call from Alexander’s wife.

Before his death, Alexander had left his widow a key and instructions to give it to Adel if anything had happened to him. Inscribed into the key was a set of coordinates, which led to a buried lock box in a country road under an apple. Within was a golden arrowhead, which was arranged so that the person opening it would cut himself on the arrow and a plastic folder containing enough evidence to take down the corrupt officers that got in the way of the investigation, as well as the identity of the murderer.

Adel immediately went to report the corruption, but he didn’t realize he being followed and was attacked by a unknown stand user. Luckil he was able to awaken his Stand and fight him off, but assailant managed to get away with the arrow, though the evidence stayed with Adel.

He reported it, spread it as far as he could, making it impossible for them to sweep it under the rug. It one of the biggest corruption scandals in police history, causing a new wave of reforms to prevent it from happening ever again. Alexander even in death managed to accomplish his dream, but the murderer was still at large. The damage had been done. Despite knowing the identity of his best friend’s murderer, the corrupt officers had destroyed enough pieces of the puzzle that an investigation was impossible, letting the culprit get off Scott free.

Being disheartened that he was unable to bring him to justice , Adel left the force and became a private detective. Still trying to improving the city in his own way, but never forgetting his best friend’s murder. Solving cases after cases, but this time alone, he never seemed to be getting closer to the culprit. Until one day, one of his contact informed him of an case he would want to know about. A bounty was put on the perpetrator’s head, bizarrely by the perpetrator himself. Adel knew this was some sort of trap, but he needed to do what he failed to do so long ago and bring him to justice.

Personality: Calm, sarcastic, slight pessimist, eccentric, and a strong sense of justice.

Quirks: Carries around mutiple gloves and puts them on whenever he attempts to touch a person. He has a tendency to jokingly suggest that a morbid or even impossible situation may occur. When waking people up he usually kicks people awake. Finally he keeps a tape recorder on him at all times and records all of conversations with other people and to occasionally do private investigation monologues... Of various quality.

Stand Ability: Cyclone Effect is a close ranged, punch ghost style stand. Cyclone Effect’s powers are built off Adel’s dream of improving his city in whatever way he can, as such Cyclone Effect’s ability allows it improve an aspect of an (Animate and inanimate) object.

When Cyclone Effect comes in contact with an object it leaves behind a golden rectangular plaque, which is inscribed with a word and a timer. The word is the aspect that the stand improved upon and the timer is the how long the improvement last. With the current maximum being up to five minutes, though Adel can lower the time of the improvement upon first creating the improvement. The plaque and the effect will disappear once the timer reaches zero and the timer will start once the stand removes it’s hand from the plaque, though the improvement will still be in effect even if the Cyclone Effect doesn’t remove it’s hand. Once the timer begins it can not be stopped, even if Cyclone Effect puts it’s hand back on the plaque.

Improving a more specific aspect will cause the the improvement to become more powerful. For example: Improving acceleration on a car would cause it to speed up faster, than a car with an overall performance improvement.

However, a more specific improvement has a greater chance of the improvement having a side effect along with it.
For example: Improving punching power would allow you to hit as hard as Star Platinum, but you would break your arm, due to Newton’s second law.

An object can only have one plaque and improvement at a time. Making another one on the same object will cause the previous plaque and it’s effects to disappear, regardless of the time remaining. The only visible sign that a improvement had occurred on an object would be the plaque imbedded where Cyclone Effect made contact. Otherwise, the object’s appearance remains unchanged.

Note: This stand is capable of healing, via the improvement of cell division. Though doing so has side effects, namely the target would be at a weakened and malnourished state. This is because the rapid cell division uses up a large amount of nutrients in the body of the person being healed. To combat this, Adel keeps something he likes to call “ Super Nutrition Juice” on his person. Kept in a unsuspecting thermos, it is an extremely awful tasting, puke green sludge of a health drink, often described to smell like Satan’s *******. Despite its taste, texture, and color it can be described as a genuine superfood, being concocted with a variety of exotic ingredients and lives up to it’s name of Super Nutrition.

Stand's Appearance: Cyclone Effect is a humanoid stand with a black body and thick purple x shaped marks running across it in a chain link fence like design. It has a resemblance to an old London police officer and wears a green and white diagonal checkered, inverness cape which it wears open and sports a similarly checkered, London styled Bobby police hat. Complete with a purple and black trim, though the police badge on a regular bobby hat has been replaced with a golden gear shaped clock missing it’s hands and a red feather has been pierced into the right side of the hat’s rim, which spouts out diagonally.

Around Cyclone Effect’s neck, it wears two spade shaped clock hands mimicking a necktie. The minute hand is colored silver and the hour hand colored gold. It wears an old fashioned aviator goggles with a golden base and red tinted lenses, which obscures it’s eyes. The bottom half of it’s face is covered with a half of a silver old style bear trap with the teeth being pointed upwards to mimick a large predatory jaw and is held in place by a pale yellow silk ribbon, which ties it to it’s bobby hat. It wears similar styled and colored bear traps on it’s ankles, wrists, hips, and shoulders being worn with the teeth facing the same direction like the one on it’s face.

Cyclone Effect’s feet are shaped like combat boots with dark purple soles with the words “CHASE YOU” engraved on the bottom of it’s feet. Golden bear traps similar to it’s mask are on the toes and heels of it’s feet, with the the teeth facing downwards and would dig in if it stood on the ground.

On the back of both of Cyclone Effect’s hands are golden metal disks. The outer parts of the disks are engraved with two layers of characters, which circle around the perimeter. The outer layer of characters are composed of the 26 letters of the alphabet going A-Z counter clock wise, while the inner layer are composed of the numbers going 0-9 clock wise. On it’s knuckles are the tips of alphabet engraving tools, four on each fist. The alphabets forming the words, TIME on the right hand and OVER on the left in all uppercase.

Stand Cry: Fitting it’s detective motif, Cyclone Effect’s Stand cry is:

Name: Alex H. Andrew

Namesake: The band A-ha, performed the single, Take on Me. The first letters of Alex’s full name align with the band’s name.

Appearance: A young man in his late teens, but appears youthful due to his small frame. He has unkempt black hair and pale skin. This guy is around 5’6 and is pretty skinny. He usually wears a navy blue hoodie, a white plain undershirt underneath, some black sweatpants with white stripes, and a pair of purplish dark blue sneakers. He usually carries around an orange backpack which contains a medical kit, some non-perishable food, a few canteens of water, some drawing equipment, and a sketching pad.
Background: Alex lived a perfectly normal life with his family, but due to their overprotectiveness, Alex’s parents tried their best to shelter him from the outside world. As a result, Alex never developed people skills. Due to being related to a person who was pierced by the beetle arrow, Alex developed a stand, but at the time, his fighting spirit was weak. He quickly fell ill, and his parents doubled down on their overprotectiveness. When all hope seemed lost, Alex did not want to be a burden for his family, so he mustered up all the fighting spirit he could. Luckily, his condition improved with his new-found fighting spirit. After recovering from the sickness, Alex was back in school, and he soon found a crush. Although he was too shy to talk to his crush, he unconsciously used his new stand to place himself in situations where he would meet his crush. Unfortunately, he was crippled by his anxiety around people, so he never even tried to befriend the girl. At this point in time, he was now starting to use his stand consciously. After he graduated from high school, he found about the bounty on the criminals, and he thought he could meet people who are similar to him. Maybe this road trip could help mend his deep-rooted fear of people and the outside world. Besides, he can’t just pass up that much money.

Personality: He’s shy, quiet, passive, generally reclusive, childlike, curious, and naive.
Quirks: Alex is a terrible people person, and he has as much charisma as a wet rag. He also likes to inspect things out of curiosity.

Personality Connection: The weakness of the stand proper and its reliance on its power reflects the user’s passivity; Alex does not want to be in direct conflict with a person nor does his stand.

Ability Overview and Explanation: 『Take on Me』’s pencils can draw on any surface, and they will never get dull. Anything drawn or written by these pencils will dissipate in ten minutes minus time it took to draw/write. 『Take on Me』’s drawings has two major functions. To begin with, 『Take on Me』 can move and change any drawing it creates on a surface. If 『Take on Me』 uses this ability on one drawing, then it cannot use its second ability on the same drawing.
Example: Let’s say 『Take on Me』 writes a note, but the enemy intercepts it. 『Take on Me』 can shift and change the letters to send the enemy into a trap and give the enemy a disadvantage.
『Take on Me』’s first ability is very situational and not a good ability at all, but luckily for Alex, 『Take on Me』’s first ability is not its main one. The second ability of 『Take on Me』 allows any non-shifted inanimate objects to become real-life objects. In addition, 『Take on Me』 can control any motorized object that it creates. Of course, there are limits to what 『Take on Me』 can create. It cannot create life, so, therefore, it is not a healer. Furthermore, it cannot create duplicate stands. All objects created by 『Take on Me』 will be colored white and have a pencil-esque shading to them. Any automobile will be assumed to already have a full tank when created. This goes for cans full of liquid as well.

Stand's Appearance: 『Take on Me』 is a humanoid close-range stand who is both shorter and scrawnier than most Punching Ghosts. The face of 『Take on Me』has no features to speak of, but when its user is in extreme stress or rage, 『Take on Me』 will draw ‘serious eyebrows’ on its face. In both of its index fingers, it has a retractable pencil which it uses for its stand ability. 『Take on Me』’s “skin” is white, and its default color scheme is black and white. Like its drawings, shading also has a pencil-esque texture. Exposing a slither of its chest, It wears an unzipped black leather biker jacket, and has a small checkered bandana wrapped around its right arm. Moreover, it dons a visorless motorcycle helmet that has goggles attached to the top of it, but these goggles do not seem to have a function due to this stand’s lake of a face.

Name: Kay Anses (named after Kansas)
Appearance: Kay is a tall, mixed-race woman with light brown skin, gray eyes, and blonde hair that she wears in a loose braid. Her usual attire consists of an unzipped black leather jacket with two white triangle patches on the shoulders, a blue bikini top, skinny jeans with very patched-up knees, unzipped black leather boots, and an orange bandanna tied around her right ankle.
Background: Kay was born the daughter of Rodrigo Anses, a Mexican father, and Bobbi Steinhardt, an American mother. Rodrigo was an undocumented immigrant wanted for smuggling unlawful goods across the southern border. To keep out of the reach of authorities, the family moved around a lot, doing their best to blend in and avoid detection for as long as possible. On the one instance where the authorities caught up to them, Kay accidentally witnessed her father violently attacking his would-be captors... seemingly without touching them. She was terrified, and began to fear mightily for her own safety; was her father really a dangerous man, like the authorities said he was? In that moment of fear, confusion, and desire for true safety, her Stand,『Wayward Son』, first manifested to protect her, and then she could see that her father had a Stand of his own.
Eventually, Rodrigo was captured and placed in heavy custody. Bobbi tried to settle down in a Colorado town and continue raising Kay normally, but Kay would have none of it. Her father had gotten them all into trouble, sure, but he was still her father, and she still loved him and wanted him to be a part of her life. She eventually ran away and began harassing the authorities, trying to get them to release Rodrigo, but to no avail. It got to the point where she ended up in custody herself for a time. Finally, she and the authorities reached some form of an agreement: there was a notorious Stand user at large, wanted for several crimes, who had eluded capture for some time now. If Kay helped bring in this Stand user, they'd release Rodrigo.
She accepted.
Personality: Kay is hot-blooded, restless, and very passionate about family. She pretends to be knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, but actually knows very little.
Quirks: Kay has a habit of keeping her hands busy at all times, whether it be by cracking her knuckles, wiggling her fingers, or tapping her palms together.

Stand Name:『Wayward Son(named after Carry On Wayward Son)
Stand Ability:『Wayward Son』has the ability to tamper with a person’s senses of vision and hearing, called “The Dreaming Voices.” It will dull the person’s vision, while amplifying their hearing at an inversely proportional degree. The degree to which these senses are altered can be changed. It will then produce a sound resembling babbling voices, only audible to the person whose senses it has altered. The sound will increase in pitch every five seconds, and depending on how much the target’s hearing has been amplified, the target will either be slowly or quickly inhibited, only able to focus on the sound yet unable to see where it comes from so that they may stop it.
This ability can only be activated if both『Wayward Son』and its user are making contact with the ground or floor, and is only effective at a distance of or exceeding one-and-a-half meters. Only one person at a time can be targeted by this ability, but a person with poor hearing or vision will not be affected. Additionally, a non-Stand user may be affected by this ability, but nowhere near to such a drastic degree as a Stand user.
Wayward Son』has a final, ultimate ability called “Illusion.” When “Illusion” is activated, the chain patterns on『Wayward Son』’s arms will come free and entrap their target. The target’s senses of vision and hearing are completely hijacked, and replaced with a vivid hallucination; the target will see and hear what would otherwise be a normal day, and will subsequently, presumably, let down their guard. The contrast between what the target sees and hears, and what they physically experience, i.e., further physical attacks from either『Wayward Son』or its user, will begin to drive them mad.
“Illusion” can, once again, only be activated if both『Wayward Son』and its user are making contact with the ground or floor, but its range of activation is increased to at least two meters. However, when activated, it will remain completely effective at a closer distance. “Illusion” can only last for a maximum of five minutes.
Stand's Appearance:『Wayward Son』is a natural humanoid Stand, almost completely gray in color. It stands at approximately two meters tall; when not active, it generally takes a crouching squat position. It has a large head, with a square jaw and no facial features, save for a pair of large black eyebrows, downward sloping shoulders, long, bony arms and legs, and wide hands and feet with four digits on each. Patterns resembling stylized, orange-colored chains are visible on『Wayward Son』's arms and legs, and three orange medallions are situated along its spine, starting at the base of the neck and ending below the shoulder-blades.

Stand Name:
Crescent Reach

Stand Ability:
This stand appears as a semi-transparent punch-style ghost that cannot be properly seen until one is at least 10m away. It appears to use melee combat as it's choice of attack, but in reality Crescent Reach uses a telekinetic force to imitate its movements from a distance, becoming an invisible force that can deliver powerful strikes at range. Along with its incredible range, natural stealth and destructive power, Crescent Reach provides the Stand User with exceptional sight and reaction speed.

The downsides are that Crescent Reach is not particularly suited to close combat. It's durability and, to a lesser extent, speed are slightly average and it is unlikely to develop into something significantly more powerful than it already is. Additionally, Crescent Reach's range depends on how far away it can see, leaving it suppressed in effectiveness when it's visibility is obscured.

Name: Lorenzo "Enzo" Morrison

Namesake: Ennio Morricone

Enzo is relatively slender (by Araki/JJBA standards), and has long dark hair, with streaks of silver that is usually slicked back. He stands at 5'9". Often wears a black shirt underneath a silver suit with a yellow tie.

Background:

Enzo is an American-Italian, whose parents met back in Italy. They later migrated to America when Enzo was still a kid. He had close to no friends as a youngster, being a foreigner. That fact that he could see an "apparition" made him seem more weird and different to others. So as a child, he mostly kept to himself.

Due to his father's work, his family kept moving from place to place. This worked to his advantage because it always gave him a fresh start in trying to adapt and connect better with other people.

One night, he came home from school and found his family murdered. He didn't see the murderer's face, but he was able to see another apparition, something he would later learn to be called a stand. The rest of his memories from that night was hazy, including how he survived. The police wouldn't believe him, and thought he was crazy, but he was sure that what he saw was a stand-user.

He later dedicated his life into training his stand in order to find and kill the stand user that killed his parents. He later became a bounty hunter, taking on jobs that included other stand users.

Personality:

Enzo is cunning and highly intelligent. He is very resourceful, and sly. He is, however, very selfish and puts his own well-being above others. While he is indifferent and hostile to men, he is much more mellow and accommodating towards women.

Quirks:

Enzo is a huge womanizer, and will most likely flirt with every beautiful woman he meets and encounters, with his attempts mostly successful due to his good looks and charm.

Stand Name: Gold Ecstasy

Stand Ability:

While Gold Ecstasy usually attacks in the traditional way using her tail as a whip or to sweep and hit her enemy, her most basic ability is that she, and any of her parts, can transform into any shape and can harden and soften at will. Gold Ecstasy's volume remains the same throughout it's transformations and changes. In essence, it is a very flexible and adaptable stand, which mirrors Enzo's mindset and character.

Gold Ecstasy however has a special ability that it can only use under certain conditions.

The Good -

When Gold Ecstasy holds a person's head, she can read that person's thoughts and memories. The more extensive the read, the longer Gold Ecstasy has to hold the person.

The Bad -

Gold Ecstasy can put another person on a strong trance when she makes direct eye contact. The victim is then charmed and follows Enzo's orders. The effect is released when Enzo recalls Gold Ecstasy or when she closes her eyes, and the victim won't remember anything that happened while under Gold Ecstasy's influence. Gold Ecstasy is unable to use her other special abilities while using The Bad

The Ugly -

Gold Ecstasy's original form is that of a golden lamia, a creature who's upper half is that of a woman, and the lower a snake/serpent that usually towers over Enzo. Her long tail usually coils around Enzo and serves similarly to a shield. Her full length from Head to the tip of her tail is around 5 meters. Her hands have 3 fingers/digits each, with sharp claws at the end. Her headdress makes her resemble that of a cobra. Her eyes are completely in deep red color.
