I actually love that I made Thrun so normal in hindsight.

Like, Thrun is the kind of 'Sane, normal person' in the school? So he has the best reactions to everyone else's social awkwardness and complete craziness. Originally it was just a play on, "Hah, look guys, an Orc who is a really smart and likeable person." However he's kind of become the typical sane man in a school of nutters.
