The full story behind the ring is that Bula is an Orc, who's joined up the school without telling her brother Thrun, and so uses a glamour ring to disguise herself as a human to fool specifically him, as the enchantment makes an illusion that gives you a female appearance of your choosing. (It was very specific to save on price)

Pyrite, her best buddo so far, fell asleep on her.

So now she's dolling him up, calling him Pyrita, or Rita, to prank the ever living shit out of him when he wakes up.
