Alright, so there was this Discord server called BNHA Equilibrium (if it's still alive, can you do me a favour and infiltrate it to see what happened?), where people would RP OCs that would either attend a villain or hero school. Nothing that original, tbh.
I joined when it had just begun, and after I soon became one of the more active members (helping new members, creating a tagging system, reviewing people's characters sheets, etc. etc.) they just decided to promote me to admin, so I could help plot the next few arcs and review more character sheets. Note that this was an incredibly big server just for one RP, consisting of 300+ people at its peak, with most of the members being in their teens.
But you see, it turns out when you have that many members, it becomes hard to coordinate events. Combined with the fact that there was one twenty-something from Britain that get spamming the ladies's messages with extremely creepy PMs and started bugging me, to... commiserate in his misery as a fellow bro??? about watching porn and generally having a very misogynistic attitude, and several other problematic members, it soon began to balloon out of control. Additionally, there was drama where the first owner, named Pizza, had left the server because they were a uni student and busy, handing it someone called Taco. Taco was a teenager like me, and had a bit of trouble running the server, tossing it to Cherry, another member who was a bit older. However, Cherry soon became frustrated and for her mental health, tossed it back to Taco, with a bunch of the admins squabbling about who deserved it during the entire time.
Then the Pizza drama started.
There was another member, who I shall call Pan, who was accused of making multiple accounts to cheat their way into becoming a mod and making more characters. Ugh, fine, I guess I'll deal with that as well. What became bonkers was when Pizza returned to the server... except they weren't actually Pizza. Their typing style was way different, their PFP was a low-res copy of the actual Pizza's and they were immediately promoted to admin.
Naturally, people were sus, and Cherry called back the actual Pizza, who confirmed, and was incredibly pissed that someone else was copying their identity. We knew that the impersonator must of been someone from the inside, one of the admins or mods, and thus the finger-pointing began, with a bunch of people accusing Pan, who then lashed out about the constant allegations they had endured.
This did not bode well for the server.
And what was happening during all of this? An excellent question. I was having a bit of aneurysm trying to run this entire thing, juggling three different plots up and in the air, introducing an organization into play and also dealing with a bunch of tests IRL. The fact that there were at least 200+ characters running around, mods and admins whining about the dorm system (THAT I ORGANIZED), people jumping ship and constantly rejoining, it was a complete disaster.
Which meant was when I left, the entire thing fell apart.
It was a decision on my part, partly influenced by my father, because this was beginning to negatively impact my standing as my student. So I shut down my Discord and packed.
I returned a month later, saying my final goodbyes, when I realized that the entire server was dead. People were still RPing, but the entire system was sluggish and people were barely interacting. What had happened was that the server collapsed under its own weight, causing a mass Exodus with a bunch of staff members being blamed for what happened. They left as well, and soon, the entire thing became the ghost town it is now.
However, there's one last kicker.
I had a really close friend on that server. Let's call him... John, since I don't want to expose their actual name. I genuinely really liked him, and thought he was a great dude. He was about my age, so pretty young, and yeah, he might lash out sometimes, but he meant the best, and had a great sense of humour. He was a fellow admin, after my departure, he seemed be contributing more to running the server. Great! I thought.
Until, I was thumbing through my shared docs a few months later and I found this, written on the server's former character sheet template:

The only drama I have is this one time
I fell out with a friend bc of an argument we had so for obvious reasons I stopped speaking with them
They called the animal services people to try get my dog taken away??? A disclaimer that my animals are actually spoiled things lol. Of course the dog didn’t get taken but it pissed me off.
And then my cat died about a week later and someone mentioned it to them so they came and asked me ‘how’s my cat’ and I wanted to throw hands so bad

Some of the shit ive been in is with my best friend, who im changing their name to Moon for the sake for this.
So what happened was is Moon and her sister, ima call Flower share almost the same birthday. theya re about two years apart so I went for my friend but as the other friend as well. Moon had friends over that are bad influences so I decided not to really hang out with them but with Flower instead. We went to play a game and Moon and her friends ran off with my other friend, Rosco.
I live in a pretty big neighborhood and we have apartments up near the front of it. Moon dragged Rosco up there to meet drug heads. FUCKING DRUG HEADS. I couldnt get ahold of them until Rosco texted me telling me what happened. I lost my shit and when they came back I yelled at them for a good solid couple minutes then we all go do different things. Still hanging out with Flower and her group- her sister calls her mean names and fucking doesnt stand up for her when her friends join in.
Flower ended up crying and then Moon blamed me for alot of shit that night because I got them in trouble and Moon ignored me for a good month. Then we got into a big ass argument over text because of what happened. Long story short we didnt talk for two months and then I texted her on Christmas and now we are friends again.
