Sorry about that. Work keeps changing my schedule on me and it's getting kinda frustrating to be honest. Wish I could post more consistently, but we just lost a few members of our staff so they're shoving me wherever/whenever they can at this point.

I'll try and get at least one post out per-week, but don't wait on me! I wouldn't want to hold up the roleplay.

Okay bud, we’ll treat your character sort of as an accessory to the story at this point, and when you can be more involved we’ll start giving you more battles and things. I can have your character on their own little side mission if you want, up to you.

Anyway, question to the host Kobe Nathan Wade : do Pokemon automatically recover when they get into their Pokeball? Or do they need to be healed first?

We’ll assume a little rest between battles is all you need. During action sequences or quests like the one you’re about to do, they won’t heal until the end of a “dungeon” or if I have an npc do so specifically. Basically every time there’s a break for interaction, you’ll be healed.

hoziah4224 So, a few things my friend. If you’d like to participate in the role play you’ll have to make a character and wait for me to approve them before you can post in the main thread. I’m not opposed to you joining, just go through the proper hoops first.

Your writing wasn’t bad, but a pet peeve of mine is first person narration. I’d prefer if you wrote in third if you want to write along with us. It reads better to the other people participating so that the whole story can be read as a continuous scene. Also, there are a few rules for your character. They should already have eight badges (I made an acception for Shooting star to be challenging my character for her eighth now, because she came up with a compelling narrative to fit into the story.) and your character should also be eighteen or older. If you’re fine with these conditions, you’re welcome to join us. Just note that in the future you’ll probably get a similar reaction from other GMs if you invade their games, if not a slightly less amicable version.

Gundam Watcher 27 in an attempt to make sure I’m not abusing my gm powers, I’m going to ask if it’s okay with you that electric type moves are simply “not very effective” against Tyranitar as opposed to doing absolutely nothing. If you feel that’s not fair, we’ll play out this match without that rule in effect and it’ll only come into action after at later battles in the story. Truth be told I forgot that was a thing in the Pokémon universe until midway through that last post.

Edit: referring to electric type moves not effecting rock or ground Pokémon at all in the games.

Electric moves affecting tyranitar is fine. Rock types still take damage unless it's ground type as well.

How does rng for Burn affliction work for elemental punches?

A non fire type will be burned on contact, doing a bit of damage over time like in the games. Also, clever counter with the thunder punch. I accept that it would nullify the nuzzle on contact. I won't be able to reply again until later tongiht, just a heads up.

Thank you. I take some inspiration from the show, but really, the Onix being hit by thunderbolt shouldn't have been legal.

I'm kinda curious too. I cant have Ryuko enter the pokemon tournament with just 3 partners.

Was thinking of peehaps having her befriend a recently born cubone and catch a Tyrantrum or something.

The cubone was gonna have a neat little concept that it was able to utilize aura like a Lucario could, meaning it can create bones to use moves like Bone Rush or Bonemerang (Almost called it something inappropriate. *weary). I remember that it can learn Aura Sphere too.
Edit: nvm, that was Focus blast or sonething it knew.

You’re completely welcome, actually I’d encourage it. Did you want to encounter them on route 42 or in the mountain? Keep in mind I’ll be controlling the Pokémon, and I’m gonna make you work to catch them which one? Magikarp?

I’m fine with all that, any Pokémon caught will level up and evolve by the time we reach the tournament arc.
