Clan Name: Na'ring (Forest) Clan

Totem Animal: Forest Banshee

Location: Forest, Pandora

Appearance / Body: Like all Na'vi, they have four fingers / toes. Their skin is a darker blue then traditional Forest Na'vi. A tall member of this Forest Clan is 10 feet. Their bones are also much lighter than an average Na'vi, giving them the ability to ride and bond with the Forest Banshee. But despite having a light bone structure, they are very strong. They all have yellow eyes and black hair.

This is the only known Clan of Pandora that has the ability to ride and bond with the Forest Banshee. They are also very skilled riders of the Direhorse.

Believes / Culture: While all Na'vi have a strong connection to Eywa, the Forest Clan People seem to have some of the strongest bonds to their Great Mother. They are the only Na'vi that know their Spirit Animal at birth as a part of their Rite of Passage. They also believe that Na'vi and the animals of Pandora are equal, and so do not kill / eat the animals, but instead have a vegetarian diet. They live amongst Soul Trees and guard them with their lives and live a minimalist lifestyle.

Male Na'vi of this clan do not wear the Battle Band in this Clan.

Because this Clan is so small and members are rare, homosexual couples aren't uncommon. There are more female members then males.

This Clan has especially strong bonds with their bonded creatures and the animals of the forest.

This Clan typically wears clothing that are drab and dark colored to help them blend in the forest and not attract predators like the Thanator.

Rites of Passage:
The First Bond (Tsaheylu):
Just before their child is born, the mother and her mate and family travel to the Tree of Souls and have their baby under Eywa. As soon as their child is born, they connect their Queue to the tree and learn of their Spirit Animal and bond with Eywa. Na'vi of the Forest Clan do not need to perform the Dream Hunt ritual to learn their Spirit Animal.

Iknimaya:
At the age of 18, they are old enough to bond with their own Forest Banshee. After bonding with their Forest Banshee, they must go out and find a Woodsprite and bring back a seed and plant it. Only when a Na'vi returns with a Woodsprite and plant it, are they considered a full member of the Forest Clan. To bring back a Woodsprite, the Woodsprite must come to them. They can't simply go out and "catch" one and bring it back.

Personal Story: Having been originally mated to Nomak, she is now the one leader of the Na'ring (Forest) Na'vi / Clan. Saru is both the Tsahik and Olo'Eyktan of this unique Clan of the Pandoran Forests / Jungles. While all Na'vi have a strong bond with Eywa, this Clan has especially strong bonds with Eywa and takes the Three Laws of Eywa very seriously. Tensions are high with a neighboring Clan and a war is threatening to break unless a solution is reached.

Personal Story: Born of the Na'ring (Forest) Na'vi (People), she is small in stature and is often teased by a neighboring Clan who are traditional Na'vi of height and body build. Ina is often going out and finding large groups of Fan Lizards and chasing them, loving to watch them spin off to safety. Her mother is the Tsahik and Olo'Eyktan of this Clan, making Ina the Princess and next leader-in-waiting. She loves the animals of the forest and watching them. She is a very skilled gatherer and weaver of the Clan.

Clan: Alusìng (Mountain) Clan

Totem Animal: Mountain Banshee

Location: Hallelujah Mountains (Floating Mountains), Pandora

Appearance / Body: Living in the Floating Mountains, their skin is generally a softer blue in color then those Na'vi that reside in the Forests and Jungles. Generally, their skin is a more sky-blue color to blend in the clouds and sky. They often paint their faces and body. Most just paint their faces. It's mostly for statement and intimidation. All Na'vi of this Clan have dark brown hair and yellow eyes. Na'vi of this Clan also often have better and stronger eyesight then most Na'vi, enabling them to see from far above in the clouds.

Believes / Culture: Similar to the Metkayina Clan and the Tulkan, the Na'vi (People) of this Clan believes that the Mountain Banshee they bond with is their spirit sister / brother and have the strongest bonds with their Ikran then any other Na'vi. This Clan is also known for their extreme riding prowess and skill upon their Ikrans and their hunting skills.

After successfully performing the Iknimaya, all Male Na'vi wear the Battle Belt.

Only when Na'vi of this Clan have completed and survived their Rites of Passage are they allowed to wear their own face paint.

Almost all Na'vi born of this Clan have Spirit Animals that fly. The Mountain Banshee is the most common.

This Clan also has Banshee Races, racing their Mountain Banshees to the highest point of the Floating Mountains. Only this Clan knows the true location of what they call the Highest Peak in which they race to. The Banshee Races are quite deadly and many Mountain Na'vi have died in these games. Only those who have completed their Rites of Passage are allowed to take place in the Banshee Race and games.

Besides the Banshee Races, they have archery contests upon their Banshees. The feathers of their arrows are either red or blue for these games and these arrows are game arrows only. A target is made, and they ride their banshees and try and hit the center of their target. There is one archer for each team. The riders of the opposing team try and block the archer from scoring points. The first archer to shoot the center of the target wins the game. The points of the arrow are dull to prevent injury / death to a fellow Na'vi and their Banshee.

Rites of Passage:
The First Bond (Tsaheylu): Like all Na'vi children, when first born, they are connected to Eywa at the Tree of Souls before brought back to the Clan.

Iknimaya: At the age of eighteen, a Na'vi of this Clan bonds with their Banshee spirit sister / brother. Only performing the Dream Hunt and receive their Battle Belt, are they full members of the Clan and are allowed to partake in the Banshee Races and Banshee Archery Contest.

Na'vi of this Clan, like the Omatikaya, are allowed to speak amongst the Clan only after they have completed their Rites of Passage.

He loves his Mate and children, though he seems like he would be a very grumpy Na'vi. He takes his position of the Clan very seriously and other Hunters fully trust in him, knowing that he would never lead them purposely to danger. While he is stern, it is because he wants his Clan to survive and achieve the greatness he knows they can be.

He doesn't exactly want to become the next Olo'Eyktan of the Clan.

Personal Story: Being a child, she has yet to complete any of her Rites of Passage and is unallowed to speak amongst the Clan as an adult. She loves exploring the Mountains and watching the Banshees flying amongst them. She is a very strong climber and is very agile. She seems to be at home among the wild Banshees, and they will often allow her to ride upon them despite not having bonded together. There is one Banshee in particular that seems to love and protect Yinette, and Yinette knows that it is her spirit sister.

Clan Name: Southern Sea People

Totem Animal: Tulkun

Location: Southern Oceans, Pandora

Appearance / Body: These Na'vi are perfectly adapted for Ocean living. They reside in the warm waters of the Southern Seas. They all have black hair. Their eyes range in color of blues and greens.

Believes / Culture: The Na'vi of this Clan are all female. They are essentially the MerPeople of the Na'vi. All the women of this Clan are the most beautiful of the Ocean Na'vi and are the most beautiful singers. When they sing, especially together, it said that when the Clan sings together they attract male Na'vi. While the female Na'vi of this Clan Mate amongst each other, once every 10 years they are allowed to sing to Eywa for a Male and Mate to conceive a child. Females of this Clan only ever give birth to female children.

Only after a Na'vi has completed and passed the Rites of Passage are they allowed to sing to Eywa for a male Mate and bond with a female partner of the Clan.

While they can swim easily to deep waters, they don't like going past the warm shallows.

Rites of Passage:
The First Breath: Besides the Metkayina Clan, the Southern Sea Clan also practice the First Breath Ritual.

When a Na'vi child born of the Southern Sea Clan, they meet their spirit sister / brother Tulkun and perform the bond (Tsaheylu). This happens when the Na'vi children turn 12.

When a Na'vi child turns 14, they make the bond with an Ilu.

At the age of 20, they are allowed to try their hand at bonding with a Skimwing.

With each Rite of Passage complete, the Na'vi child gains a bead to add to their Songcord. They also receive tattoos for each Rite of Passage complete. When the master riding on a Skimwing, they are full members of the Clan.

She will then be sexually mature enough to choose a female Mate amongst the Clan and sing for a male partner to conceive children. Though she wants to raise a family, she feels different then the other People of her Clan. The male Mate whom she chooses she runs away with, exiling herself from her Clan, feeling she loves him more then the women of her Clan. Because Maomi is in love with a male, she gives birth to a son instead of a daughter when she completes her Rites of Passage. Not wanting her son executed, Maomi runs away with her male Mate to raise her son on a patch on unknown islands.

He wants to someday meet his grandmother (Kikiri) but knows he is unallowed to set foot amongst the Southern Sea People, for fear he would be killed.
