Perhaps instead of waiting for all the spots to be filled, we should just get started. If we leave it open, people can always join in whenever they finish their character sheet. That way we don’t lose the ones we already have. From my experience, players have abandoned rps that don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Idk, it would be pretty difficult to come up with reasons as to why a character's parents aren't around if the characters in the family keep asking/wondering where that parent is or how long it'll be until they come back. that messes the flow of the RP up quite a lot.

I know it may seem that way, but I’ve never had an issue. If an event occurs where said parents are necessary, we can temporarily treat them like NPCs. Or I can.
