Fandom Is It Wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?

Jay was watching this whole conversation go down. Since they were talking in a dungeon the didn't realize monsters were still here. Jay yelled duck and threw his trident at the monster behind the group. Jay then walked over to the other group. "Hey guys try to be more careful next time." Jay said as he gave a genuine happy smile. "I'm Jay what are your guys names??" Jay asked curiously

Clair had spent most of the day within the Dungeon reliving herself of some pent up stress and well it had worked quite well. Well enough that she was now happy to leave , having nothing more to do now that she was stress free and also had a large haul of gems. She began to make her way back up through the dungeon and upon her arrival at the first floor she spotted both Hadrian and Celia within a rather large group. It was good to see Celia out and about considering she was rather new to the familia , Clair had to wonder how far she'd make it on her first attempt.


Clair was initially going to leave them be but some kid thought he was being cool by throwing his trident across the group to kill a monster. Not only was that extremely dangerous but it was also extremely rude in her eyes , the monster was only a goblin so a simple 'watch out' would of been more than efficient. Funnily enough though the boy had left himself wide open and yet another goblin was more than quick to try and take him. Clair took this opportunity to get him back on behalf of her familia members , she spun Gae Bulg around in her hand before gripping it firmly and tossing it with great force , a gust of air blowing behind her as she did so.


The red spear flew at great speed and eventually began to glow a dim red.The Spear flew by Jay's face , cutting his cheek , and decapitated the goblin mid attack , pinning the head to the dungeon wall. Clair emerged from the dark corridor ,she had thrown the spear from , a few moments later and called out to Jay "You should really be more careful next time....". As she spoke the glowing spear began to dart back towards her at breakneck speed , making its way back into her hand. Clair of course spun it around a few times , out of habit, before resting it's base on the floor with a clank.

"It's fine. I am the only one in my familia. Plus I think Poseidon wont miss me much. "I am Jay Knight nice to meet you." Jay said as he stuck out his hand to shake hers. During this whole process his trident was coming back to him. "Thanks for the save. Though it would have been fine my spell would have activated." Jay said this with a carefree attitude.

Clair took his hand in hers and smiled shaking it "Nice to meet you Jay , the name's Clair O'Reilly. Sorry about your cheek , I'm sure it'll heal quickly." Clair smiled before breaking the shake "So your the boy Poseidon recruited , you've taken to the trident nicely I see , that's good to hear. It has the same return enchantment as my Gae Bulg so it didn't come cheap , Poseidon almost passed out when i gave him the opening price".

Nice to meet you Clair. I see you got yourself a good haul today. What floor did you get too??" Jay asked as he blushed a little. He then put his trident on his back. "I mean you seem pretty powerful, so I guess you at least got passed floor 3 am I right." Jay said as he smiled a bright genuine happy smile. He eyes even started to swirl with his emotions.

Clair smiled and spun her spear around one final time before holstering it to her back she looked down at her pouch and smiled when he asked what floor she got to , going on to ask if she went passed the third floor. Clair of course laughed at this assuming it to be a joke , considering the third floor was still level one territory "yeh I guess I did manage to get by floor three. I went to floor sixteen and bullied some minotaurs for an hour or so , nothing to crazy you know"

I am still on floor 14. I just want to build up some more strength. I wouldn't going with some time. Today I just came to blow off some steam. Speaking of which do you wanna grab a bite to eat. My treat for saving me from this oh so powerful goblin." Jay said as he started to laugh a little bit.

Clair listened to what Jay had to say and it seemed as though they both had , had the same objective for entering the dungeon today. It was reassuring to know she wasn't the only one who did that and when he offered to buy her something to eat in return for saving him she couldn't help but give a laugh along with him. "Sure why not , I could go for something to eat right about now."

Jay said with a mock bow, and chuckled a little. Jay hand't felt this happy in a while. He actually made a friend, and a cute one none the less.

Clair smilled and nodded "yeh burgers sound like a great idea" , she laughed to herself when he gave a bow and took the lead just as he had offered. Clair quickly gave a wave to her familia members before exiting along side Jay. Once outside Clair turned to Jay "so where exactly are we going to get these burgers and fries?"

The Rusty Port. It's a tavern made for the Poseidon Familia. So it is basically my home, and where I eat and stuff. Now since you are my friend you are welcome there any time." Jay said as he smiled, and blushed a little. "So Clair what do you like to do?" Jay asked as he pulled his sword out ov its sheath, and and balanced it on his hand.

Clair didn't know what to expect from the 'Rusty Port' but so long as it's food was eatable she supposed there wasn't really going to be a problem.After a while Ray pulled out his sword and began to mess around with it asking what she liked to do , Clair of course answered him truthfully by saying "I don't really do much other than working for the familia and adventuring. What about you?"

That's okay. I just go adventuring and then come home. You are my only friend really. Everybody thinks I am some monster, or a freak, because Poseidon only has me. Though I do try to take a part in the fighting tournaments sometimes. That's about it. I am just a very shy guy.

Clair smiled and waved at a small child as it skipped by waving , she turned her attention back to Jay and attempted to block out the surrounding noise "I don't think your a freak Jay , but now that I'm thinking about it you just invited a woman over to you home without knowing anything about her other than that of her name. How could I have been so blind ! You are a monster , your luring me back to your home !". Clair had a look of absolute fear and dread on her face as she looked to Jay , but shortly after she felt he had begun to internally worry she burst out laughing.

What. Why. You little jerk." Jay came over and hugged her. He then spun her in circles, and tickled her as he did." "This is what you get for making me worry." Jay the whole time laughing as he did this. It also seemed to draw a crowd unbeknownst to Jay.

Clair had expected Ray to react in some way or another but she did not expect him to act in this way , not at all. When he suddenly hugged her her face quickly turned bright red and even more so when he started tickling her. Of course she was laughing due to the tickling but inside she was dying slowly and painfully of embarrassment , once a fairly big crowed had grown and Clair felt that Jay wasn't going to stop anytime soon she snapped. Clair broke away from his grasps with every bit of strength she had available to her and then smacked him hard across the face screaming "Don't ever touch me again !" before taking off down the street towards the forge. Not knowing if she wanted to cry or break something.

Jay didn't know what happened. He just felt something inside snap. His eyes glowed a sickly poison green. Jay then ran for the dungeon. He didn't know what was happening. Jay ran threw the dungeon killing every thing in his path. Jay kept running until he got to the 17th floor. "Hurricane Shield". A massive hurricane surrounded Jay. Jay felt power rush into him. Something in the back of his mind told him to say Quake Force. Jay yelled that and a massive earthquake started. With his hurricane going at the same time. It started to pick up pieces of earth and spin them around. All of this happened because of Clair smacking him. It reminded him of the pain he felt when the man would beat him for failing something.

Once Clair reached the Forge she made her way upstairs and to her room , locking the door behind her and tossing her spear and loot bag off to the side. She proceeded to lay on her bed and eventually fell asleep.

Jay kept his storm raging for what seemed like hours. When he finally stopped it was in the middle of the night. Jay scolded himself. "You can't let anyone know your secret. What if people found out that Poseidon isn't actually your familia. Jay kept this up in his head as he walked towards the Rusted Tavern.

"Marth, sit right in that crack alright? I'll be back." A tall, well built man said to a very tiny child with blonde hair as he jogged off a bit. "O-Okie Uncie!" The child called out as A monster bolted towards him and he kicked it aside before slicing upwards, hitting another in the head before he finished the other one he had kicked. Both monsters looked like ants but they were much bigger.


"Seemed easy enough." The guy grinned, giving a thumbs up to the kid before a glob of green slime flew out of the dark, hitting the wall, eating it. "Oh no..." He backed up. "Care full uncie Warren." the toddler said as the new monster showed itself. It was like a giant mole but it's claws had the corrosive goop on them.


Quicker then a viper it sliced down and got Warren in the arm and he howled in pain as his right arm rotted away. Luckily he used his left for his sword so he threw it at a crack in the ceiling.


Turning to Marth he smiled stupidly, eyes closed, giving a thumbs up as if everything was all right before that part of the cave collapsed on him and the monster with a loud crash. The mole screeched as the earth and rock suddenly collapsed ontop of it, leaving Marth covered in brown dust from the aftermath, ear bleeding from it's screech.


The toddler didn't know what happened in the slightest however so he tried to get out to go get his godfather he called uncle but undoubtedly he had lodged himself in too far from when he first saw the beast. "HEWP! UNCIE I STUCK!" he called out to no one as it was now only him, two dead giant grey ants, a corrosive mole and a dead corpse buried underground.

After Jay had calmed down he heard screaming. Jay ran towards the screaming, to find a toddler all alone. There were two ants trying to attack him. So Jay threw his trident at one killing it, and shot ice spears at the other. Jay then ran over to the kid. "Hey there little buddy. What are you doing here by yourself?" Jay asked as he squatted down his level, and put his hands on his shoulders.

After Jay had calmed down he heard screaming. Jay ran towards the screaming, to find a toddler all alone. There were two ants trying to attack him. So Jay threw his trident at one killing it, and shot ice spears at the other. Jay then ran over to the kid. "Hey there little buddy. What are you doing here by yourself?" Jay asked as he squatted down his level, and put his hands on his shoulders.

Marth looked at the new person. "Uncie Warren brought me down to show me where he met my auntie but nau he's gawn an i'm gettin worried." He explained, not knowing half of Warren was sticking out from the rubble behind the new guy, hand outstretched, mouth open in a inaudible yell for help that would never be answered.

"Dew yew know uncie Warren? I nawt supposed tew talk to strangers..." Marth said nervously as he looked at the man. He didn't seem bad but Marth wanted to listen to his godfather's words for once.

Yeah me and him have gone on a few quests together. I am form the Poseidon Familia. So I was wondering f you wanted to come with me, and be part of my family??" Jay asked as he smiled, and riffled the little guys hair. "I mean you don't have to, but I would be kinda cool having a little brother." Jay said with a smile.
