The day had passed slowly, with the first day of classes wasting no time in throwing the students straight into their work, very few teachers even giving a welcoming speech to the foreign students before setting them with work, and the unlucky classes who’d had potions on their first day had even been blessed with a test. Eventually they made it through, gathering in the great hall. Excited for the feast but more so for the results. Although much to their dismay they were required to eat the feast before any results would be revealed.

The students had gathered, chatting loudly. The excitement of everybody in the room clear to all as a low buzz seemed to settle even in the moments of silence.

“Settle down now” her voice called out with a demand but it wasn't unkind, in fact her excitement was rather obvious as she spoke, although what she spoke was rather unneeded, from the moment Mcgonagall had taken to the stand silence had immediately swept through them all.

“I trust you have all had a good first day back. Now. I shall waste no time in getting to the names of the Champions. If your name is called you are to come join your respective headmaster at the front. After the sorting the rest of you will be free for the rest of the evening” Her eyes darted between each row of tables, struggling to hide her smile as she steps to the goblet. Holding her slender hand out and retrieving the first name.

“From Beauxbatons...Sasha de Vries” She lets the name reach the corners of the hall waiting for the boy to stand and make his way towards Madame Maxime who was smiling broadly, not even trying to cover the pride

“From Durmstrang...Kazimir Vasilyevich” She calls out, again waiting for him to rise and reach the headmaster of Durmstrang (who was doing a much better job of hiding her pride and excitement than the other schools)

“And finally from Hogwarts. Jane English” her voice calls out, Mcgonagall searching the crowd for the one pair of eyes she could instantly recognise. Smiling to her warmly as she waits for her to join the other champions

“We have our champions. Who will win is up to how they perform in the tasks ahead. The first tournament shall take place a month from now.” She nods curtly, stepping back and gesturing for the champions to follow her as she strides from the hall, exiting through a small door by the corner of the teachers table. Being shortly followed by the other schools headmasters.

"And finally from Hogwarts. Jane English” Mcgonnagall called out. Jane felt a chill run all over her body. She had been picked, out of all the students that had entered their names the goblet had chosen her. Jane hesitated for a moment as she sat at the Gryffindor table, every single student had turned their eye's towards her, some smiling and other giving her blank expressions. Jane stumbled up from her seat as she slowly made her way towards the front of the great hall. Her friend Kazimir had also been picked by the Goblet, it would be exciting to compete with and against such a great wizard.

Jane followed the Headmaster's through the small door at the corner of the teacher's table, shaking with nerves and in disbelief that she had been picked. She looked back at the Slytherin table at Vivienne, giving her a nervous look before walking into the next room still wondering if she would be able to hand such a tough and demanding competition.

Kasumi had mainly kept herself to herself over the last few weeks, keeping up with her studies and mainly doing her own thing. She didn't really pay much attention to the foreign students apart from seeing them as she went through the castle. And as for the Tournoment, she didn't really know what to think. On the one hand, she could have a chance to finally step out and actually do something huge in her life, but on the other, she was scared to death of the possibility of being chosen. With her poor eyesight, there was very little chance of her actually succeeding in these tasks.

Kasumi looked up from her meal as she heard Professor Mcgonagall call out the names of the chosen champions, her stomach twisting itsef in a knot. What was going to happen? Would she be chosen? She tried to distract herself from this worry by stealthily eating some of the meal that was left on her plate, but even that didn't help much.

"And finally from Hogwarts. Jane English." She called out, causing a chain reaction of cheers and clapping from the Gryffendor and other house tables. Kasumi clapped with them, happy for her but at the same time, she couldn't shake off the inevitable disappointment. Sure, there was no way she would survive those tasks, knowing how unpredictable and dangerous they could be. But still...

Kasumi watched Jane as she walked past her, though she could only tell it was Jane by her flaming red hair. She gave her a smile as she walked past, but then turned her attention back to her food. Oh well... She could always try out for Quidditch again this year- oh wait the Tournament meant there wouldn't be any Quidditch this year. Kasumi sighed and ran her hands through her hair. This year was going to be frustrating.

Sasha de Vries

Slytherin Table>>>> Madame Maxine

“From Beauxbatons...Sasha de Vries”

Sasha, for a moment, was sure that McDonnell had read the name incorrectly, or that he had just heard her wrong, but some brief chatter around him confirmed that he had, in fact, heard her correctly.

"Sasha.... Must be a girl."

"A girl? From Beauxbatons? Damn, she must be gorgeous."

Was Sasha a girl's name in England? Sasha stood, his purple tattoos quickly constricting around his neck- not just one this time, but all of them. If they had been real, his esophagus probably would have collapsed in on itself, a fate that sounded far more pleasant than having a bunch of people look at him.

Standing, he was hardlt 5'3", which made him a bit hard to find in a crowd. There wasn't a crowd of people, though, and it would be easy to see him walking toward his Headmistress. He could hear a few mumbles around him, wondering just why a boy from Beauxbatons had stood up and not some cute girl. One person mumbled that they thought his name fit a cute boy, too.

Sasha was definitely a girl's name in England.

He gave his Headmistress a polite nod, and nervously scratched at his arm. Shit, he really couldn't believe that he, as untalented as he was, had gotten picked. The Goblet of Fire sure had a sense of humor. He didn't look back toward everyone else when they started moving toward the next room, instead quickly following in, his head down so that he was watching everyone's shoes.

Baptiste went to classes after breakfast, trying to remain close to Vivienne and the others but elective classes took over and the group seemed to separated from the others. It was strange switching back to the Hogwarts curriculum, he was ahead in some lectures but behind in others. It was certainly never boring and he found himself becoming worried what would come in the next lessons. He was glad once everything was over he returned back to the feast and tried to look for Vivienne at least. He eventually found her. "Hey... Been looking for you." He went to say but didnt say much more before the announcement was made.

"Oh...Too bad." Baptiste said trying to appear casual but he could not had appear crestfallen and disappointed at not being called. He than just looked back at his work and began to eat slowly not saying another word. He heard a couple of owls enter, one of them being MieMie his own owl which landed gracefully in front of him and dropped the letter infront of him before looking at him expectedly. Baptist sighed as he picked up a bit of bacon and handed it to MieMie." Salut MieMie, Comment allez-vous en haut ce jour de mauvaises nouvelles?" He said and opened the letter and read the letter." Merde..."

Kazimir spent the entire day practically lost he barely made it to his classes on time and he saw some of his fellow classmates confused as well, what kind of school had staircases that moved? It was inconvenient to say the least. However Kazimir was pleased to note that none of his classes that day would be to difficult on him since the curriculum was more or less the same.

Still Kazimir was relived when classes were over he really just wanted to go out and explore the grounds around him and maybe draw a little before bed. He walked into the Great Hall, again a tad bit late and his eyes scan the hall looking for Vivienne, when he found her he began to made his way to her but stopped when Mcgonagall started to speak. His heart leap to his throat as she called his name but he straightened his back and walked up to his Headmaster who had hidden pride in her eyes. He turned to face the student and noticed that a few of his classmates were looking up at him with sneers, his throat tightened but he just stared back impassively.

Kazimir clapped along with the other students as Jane's name was called, he was surprised and proud that she put her name in.

Vivienne

She sighs in relief as Baptiste makes him way over to them "Sorry we got seperated. I should have set a place for us all to meet" She tells him, budging up on the bench. She could tell he was anxious for the results, his silence ensured that. Not that she could blame him, it was once in a life time and it was terrifying to think that in just a moment the champions would be revealed, and Vivienne could already feel a slight regret at putting her name in. She knew she would be incredibly busy this year and if she was champion too? She shakes the thoughts and glances to Ezra beside her, if his name was pulled she imagine he'd have even more stress than herself, with the same exams, the actual pressure to win if only for the money, plus the Quidditch tournament. Eventually forcing herself to stop thinking of the negative she turns her attention to McGonagall, her eyes wide with anticipation as the names are called. She cheers for all the champions, slightly harder for Kazimir, she may have only just met him but she can be friends with strangers, but she cheered most of all for Jane. Her friend was going to be their champion and she could think of nobody finer to be representing Hogwarts, a true Gryffindor to prove the worth of Hogwarts.

As the champions were taken away and the students slowly filtered from the hall, Vivienne remained seated. She'd promised to take Kazimir to the dormitories after all and she wanted to congratulate Jane ahead of all the Gryffindors. Baptiste still sat with them and she'd been thinking of ways to cheer up his obvious dismay when an owl had landed with the grace of a Russian ballet dancer, as he spoke she translated with moderate ease having spent her early years learning several languages and french being one of those. "Is everything okay?" She asks him quietly

Ezra

He had been glad to not hear his name be called and was even gladder that it was Jane, he knew her from hanging with Vivienne's circle and he knew she would do them proud. Not only did Jane take the place of champion but the mysterious Durmstrang student had been selected, and now at least he had a name for the culprit of Tommy's languish. Although he wasn't sure if that was a good thing, even so he clapped alongside his housemates.

Eventually the hall started to empty, so he stayed with Vivienne drinking pumpkin juice with her and sitting crosslegged on the table tapping a hand impatiently to the wood and glancing to and from the door and watching the owls fly in, following the one to land infront of Baptiste, it was quite a beautiful bird and it had a rather fitting name "Your owl is called MieMie?"

@ThatGuyWithSouvlaki (Champion post coming up)

Baptiste let out a groan noticing the glances from his friends looking at him. To make things worse Miemie pecked at his hands, her payment for delivery was inadequate for a owl from such an esteemed family. He groaned and gave her another treat." Miemie is a proud retainer of my family who named her, and so she is quite the little madam." He explained the owl squawked at him as if understanding his comment. " Oh you learned English have you?" He said to the bird." Great... You stilll a bearer of bad news once too often." She squawked at him indigently as if she wasnt appreciated. Baptiste sook his head and looked back at the others. "Any ways. my fine owl brings news that my mother is coming to act as judge for the tournament. I will get her disappointment on not being champion in person."

Alvar only just began regerting his choice when he was tapped by Sylvia. "AH!" was his startled response. "Oh I was umm, helping this..."  he was fourtaly saved by Mcgonagal anouncement of the champions and arkwardly sat down next to Sasha and whispered a quick "Sorry." to the poor man. Kazimir Vasilyevich being the Drumstang champion didn't suprise him. He was a fool to hope he could be chosen, he wasn't his brother after all.  He was suprised when the beauxbaton student he assulted stood up,  ((he is going to stand up right? I mean he could go white with fear and become as frozen as a staute.)) Perhaps it wasn't a such a bad idea to wake him up after all.

Sylvia Forresis

Is Slightly Confused

She shook her head at her friends antics. He couldn't just shake some random guy! Her mother  pull have been shocked, all that "Pureblood Manners" rubbish. Huh. Funny how she now felt more ok about him shaking that guy.

She turned to Professor McGonagall who was calling for quiet. She was on the wrong table at the moment, Slytherin instead of Rqvenclaw, but she sat down anyway. She sat back in her seat, waiting for the winners to be announced. She hadn't put her name in, because she hadn't felt confident enough, but Alvar would have. Maybe it would be him!

She clapped as Kasmir Vasilyevich was chosen, her heart falling for Alvar. He looked a tiny bit crestfallen, but clapped anyway. The guy who had just been shaken by Alvar -Sasha- was called as the Beauxbatons champion. Then the Higwarts champion was called and that was it.

Sylvia turned to Alvar. "Hey. How are you feeling? I didn't see you yesterday, and you didn't get chosen. I knew I wouldn't get picked because I didn't put my name in but at least we can cheer together!" She told him. Her voice got a little small when she told him she didn't put her name in, because she felt slightly ashamed that she didn't even have the courage to put her name in, but she ploughed on, determined to cheer up her friend.

"WHAT!" Alvar yelled with disblief blostering his words yet still almost being lost in the frenzied gossip that typicaly followed the anouncement of the Triwizard Champions. "You didn't put your name in! Oh, that's why you weren't chosen."  He faceplamed. "You would of made a great champion." He started speaking again but wistfully. "Oh I see it now, Sylvia winner of 127th Triwizard Tournament, slayer of a chimera and ... do-er of another amazing task probaly involving the Whomping Willow."  He sighed and ploded his arms on the table in fornt, cradling his face. After a moment he perked up when he rembered what Sy had originally said  "Oh I'm fine! Hogwarts is amazing, so much warmer the Drumstang."

Sylvia laughed. The idea of her as the champion anyway would be kind of funny, not even because of the dangerous creatures, but because she really wouldn't be able to stomach talking to reporters and people like that. However Alvar would have been a great champion. "Are you kidding? I can soooo imagine you as the champion, brave while battling dragons and.... What were those things Harry Potter fought? Blasted Skewts or something?  Yeah, Alvar Bryjar, Skewt Slayer, and then suddenly this a huge fire and you forget how to use an Augumenti charm!" Sylvia laughed remembering the tree burning camping incident.

What at were the champions doing right now?  They were in the small room learning of their challenges... Part of her was disappointed in herself, and part of her was glad. But hey, she was still here, and got to experience Hogwarts. "And yeah, it is really warm here. I like it!" She announced happily. Hogwarts was amazing, from the plates to the ceiling, and this was just the Great Hall!

She was actually looking foward to classes, Muggle Studies in particular. She had never taken the subject before, and her mum would flip if she found out. She disapproved of Sylvia's "Softness" for Muggles, and the idea of muggle studies would probably lead to her having a heart attack.

"It is a school of grand history, and a castle full with many archaic secrets." Alvar spoke in manner similar of that of an old man telling a story. He quickly stood up when he realised that the majority of students were leaving. "Oh, umm we better go." He quickly stated.

Tommy laid low for a couple of days. Not being selected hurt him more than he admitted. More than he cared to show. He was especially defeated because of THAT guy being worthy. So Erza's stare went from his back to some Durmstrang brawns. Peeeeerfect. He would definitely spice up the competition now. And he had just the perfect plan how to.\

A couple of days earlier in the great hall

Sasha was... well not what he expected. He let out something between a choke and a chuckle when the little thing waddled towards the front. A petite Cherie. When the boy walked past him he strangled the need to slap his ass, instead he whistled loudly. He saw muggles do this gesture to girls walking alone through streets. He thought it was appropriate at this moment.

“From Durmstrang...Kazimir Vasilyevich” The applause defended his ears. So many people at the Ravenclaw table, girls and boys alike, were clapping and cheering. He stared at McGonnagal with disbelief. You what. How was this bloody git already better than him in every way. When he looked towards the other Durmstrang he felt their jealousy which seeped through him too.

- Guess the bastard is just as annoying there... -

He didn't stay long in the great hall after that. Many stayed just for the sake of discussing the tournament or waiting for the contestants to congratulate them. But Tommy immediately vacated off to somewhere. Alone.

Breakfast at the great Hall, Hogsemde weekend

Round about the time Tommy finished sulking at Erza and accepted his side character role in making this tournament epic was around the same time when the teachers announced that Hogsmede weekends will actually be conducted as per usual. But both Durmstrang and Beuxbaton students needed permission. Of course they would need a bloody permit slip to go to a little, perfectly harmless village. But when it came to a competition where you could potentially lose your limbs, mind of life... nope. No permit required.

Tommy opened up the doors in a dramatic fashion and walked in with a perfect flare. His house scarf wrapped around his neck he pretended to faint on the seat next to Erza.

-Ah my darling, you are determined to tear my heart out. I have been so lonely, why so cruel my beauty, why so cold?! - He yelled, throwing his body from pose to pose as his speach went on.

Ezra

"Oh, that's pretty neat. My owls called Jen and he's a piece of work. He wont give you your post if he's sulking with you. And he sulks a lot" He laughs lightly, watching Baptiste's owl as it nips him. "Your mother? That's never good." He comments, staying sat as he stretches his legs out in front of him, feeling impatient but not quite ready to leave his friends, besides he wanted to congratulate the Champions. More so the Durmstrang Champion.

Saturday

The week had dragged more than he'd expected. He'd already been dragged into a detention in Divination, which he'd predicted he would get and he'd achieved a rather formidable burn to his arm in Care of Magical Creatures because of his supposed crush on the Durmstrang Champion distracting him, despite having only ever spoken two jumbled sentences that ended with Ezra blushing and introducing himself as 'Ezzie' and then promptly excusing himself. So not a great week.

He sat this time at the Gryffindor table with Vivienne and their friends, Vivienne deep in conversation with Jane whilst Ezra sat with Kasumi, talking to her excitedly about the upcoming quidditch match

"...we've put in so much hard work this year. We're taking your house down. Gryffindors better get ready for this. We brought in a whole new strategy this year" He laughs, pausing to stuf his face with tea cakes. "So what about your week?" He asks her, taking the opportunity to actually eat his breakfast.

Once Thomas waltzed in, there was very little he could actually say, on one hand he was still pissed that Thomas felt so entitled, on the other hand he really did miss his friend. Besides who else was he going to wreak havoc in transfiguration with. Rolling his eyes and attempting to hide his smile as Thomas went on

"Shush you idiot" He grins, wrapping an arm around Thomas in a light hug "Hey! I haven't been cold"

Vivienne

"Oh god your mother? I'm sorry Baptiste. We'll help you avoid her if we can." She places a hand to his arm in comfort as she speaks "As scary as this is, don't let her get to you. The decision was out of your hands and she can't be mad about that forever." She tells him, rubbing his arm before glancing around the hall, there were few people still there and she knew the slytherin common room would be in full throttle, even though it is a gryffindor champion to represent them, they're hardly the house to turn down a chance to celebrate.

Saturday

Suprisingly, Viviennes week had been pretty good, already on top of her work and beginning her revision she felt confident, and with the other two schools here she'd been fortunate enough to expand her friendship circle, which was only helped by the fact they were mostly placed in the Slytherin timetable so she spent a lot of her evenings by the fires speaking to her new found friends.

Now the weekend was upon them and Vivienne was excited to finally go to Hogsmeade, she'd promised Jane and Kasimir a celebratory drink for being chosen as champions and a cheer up drink for Baptiste. It was promising regardless, and Hogsmeade always made for an interesting day out, even if it was one of the absurd ways of reaching for parental permission.

"Are you nervous for the first challenge? Halloween doesn't seem so far away" She asks Jane, cutting into her eggs and watching her as she speaks. She was confident her friend would excel, but nonetheless was nervous for her. The tournament was infamous for its ruthless nature and whilst there hasn't been a student death since the incident of 94 but an injury can be just as daunting.

Kasumi was contently eating her large helping of breakfast as she listened to Ezra talk excitedly about Quidditch, particularly the match coming up. Swallowing what was in her mouth at that moment and picking up another few sausages to put on her plate, she smiled at him. "I think we have a good strategy. Not that I'm sharing any of them with the likes of you." she waved her fork -with a sausage skewered on it- at him for emphasis. "I'm just shocked I got chosen to play this year." she admitted sheepishly, really, the only reason she was able to be chosen was because -at this point- she knew every nook and cranny of the pitch and her reflexes were a lot faster than they had been before. There was no way she was going to let her eyesight get the best of her. "My week was good, Carrie sent me Lord of the Rings since I finished the Hobbit a few weeks ago so I've been reading that, as well as studying Hippogriffs. And well, not a lot happened besides that." she answered, though her smile faded when some Slytherin walked up to her -but not close enough so she could see their face- and mockingly asked her how many fingers they were holding up, which she obviously couldnt see. Rolling her clouded eyes, she looked back to Ezra, "Been really looking forward to this Quidditch, hope it goes well." she finishes before continuing to eat.

@wichtlein

The week went by in a whirlwind Kazimir felt like he hadn't had the chance breath. He sent a letter to his father the second he was alone after the clue had been given. He received a package and letter this morning. His father said he was very proud of him and that his step mother and siblings had plans to visit Hogsmead at some point to congratulate him in person. Kazimir had mixed feelings about that, while he would love to see his sister and father he knew his step mother and brother would do nothing but pick out all his flaws. The packaged contained a few of his favorite salty treats and a hand knitted cardigan from his sister. It was well done for someone her age and he appreciated that it wasn't red but a dark purple-his favorite, folded in it was a handwritten note from her, he smiled.

He arrived a breakfast late debating weather he should put on his uniform or if he could wear some more causal clothes for his first trip to Hogsmead. Ultimately he decided that if his headmaster had a problem with it he could go change, so dressed in a pair of dark muggle jeans, a white button down leaving the first few buttons undone, and of course his new cardigan he made his way to the Great Hall.

It still took him a second to get use to the noise as he walked in but it wasn't as overwhelming as his first time. His eyes swept across the hall in search of Jane or Vivienne since they tended to hop around tables, this time they were at the Gryffindor table and he held back a sigh of dismay at the redness of it all.

Vivienne had been extremely helpful the last few days and she often let him hang around as she chatted with her friends. Still as he approached the table he felt nervous, as there where a few people he did not know sitting there along with Baptiste, whom he was still uncertain about. There was also Ezzie? Ezra? Kazimir was uncertain as the teen introduced himself as 'Ezzie' to him the first time they met before running off, but the others called him Ezra. Kazimir glanced at the arm the teen had  wrapped around the platinum haired boy he had seen on his first day, and frowned.

"Good morning, Vivienne, Baptiste, Ezzie." He nodded at each of them as he said their names, playing it safe and sticking to what the honey haired teen introduced himself as, it was also easier as Kazimir still had trouble with 'r's while speaking English. "May I sit vith you?"

 @wichtlein   (Mentioned @ThatGuyWithSouvlaki  @Veelen

Jane spent the next few days pouring through every book she could find, trying to figure out her clue but the effort seemed pointless. Satuday came around and Jane still had no idea what the clue meant. She decided that she would take a break for the day and just enjoy her time at Hogsmeade with Vivienne and her other Hogwarts friends. Before they left she looked around for Kazimir but could not find him, hopefully she would see him in Hogsmeade.

"Are you nervous for the first challenge? Halloween doesn't seem so far away" Vivienne asked Jane that morning. "Nervous? You could say that.." Jane replied, picking idly at her eggs, she hadnt eaten anything all morning. She couldnt keep her mind off the clue and what it meant. What if the first challenge came and she was completely unprepared? She might even die! All these thoughts raced through her mind. Suddenly a voice interrupted these thoughts, Kazimir's voice. Jane looked up to see him standing right next to them  "Good morning, Vivienne, Baptiste, Ezzie." He said, forgetting to mention her, Jane frowned at his forgetfullness "Hi Kazimir, take a seat" She said, gesturing at the space to her left, the space to her right was already occupied by Vivienne. "Have you figured out the clue yet?" She asked him, even though it had only been a few days since they had reieved it.

Jane pulled out the clue from her pocket, laying it out on the table as she stead at the strange marking, wondering what they meant "Do you have any idea what this could mean?" She asked, looking at her fellow redhead, Vivienne. There was nothing in the rules that said you couldnt ask other students for help afterall.

@Malachitea @wichtlein @Rumble Fish @Anyone else i've forgotten

Kazimir's head whipped to face Jane a sheepish smile briefly crossed his face, he really needed to pay attention to his surroundings, if he got distracted in the tournament because he had to deal with strangers he would end up loosing very quickly.

"I'm Sorry Jane I did not see you." He apologized taking the seat next to her. He placed a few pieces of toast and eggs on his plate before answering.

"Nyet, I'm sorry but I don't have a clue." He hadn't really looked at it since he received it still caught up in the weirdness of Hogwarts.

Baptiste nodded at Viviennes kind words but was unconvinced by them. Vivienne didn't know his mother, she was the head of his family and in both work and family she needed to have her hand and word in everything. She was sure she would nag and try to take over the running of the school if she wished from the moment she enters the hall. It was mortifying to even think about it. He tried to shake the thought of end went to finish the day like everyone. Hoping to feel better by the next morning.

The week went by quickly and the stig of not being chosen for the championship was gone, replaced by a little relief preferring the day to day grind of the school life than the excitement of a potentially lethal competition. Before he knew it was Saturday morning and he had to go down for breakfast. He went so and sat with vivienne and some of the others. He was gladdened about the idea of visiting hogsmead this weekend he had always enjoyed it. He eat quitely as he listened to the conversation turning to the first challenge. "I am sure they teachers and headmasters would try and drop some subtle hints soon. I am sure that the headmister of dumstrang and beaubaton will be searching for the answer already, I am willing to pay for a butterbeer for each of you if i am wrong,

Ezra

"The likes of me? I'm offended you wouldn't trust me with your top secret training" He grins, placing his fork down and wiping his hands on his faded jeans, he'd rather mess up the black denim than his muggle rugby shirt "Seriously though Kasumi, you got picked for a reason. You know your house are the Quidditch snobs of the school" He assures her giving her a friendly nudge before shaking his head "I can't believe it's taken you this long to read them! They're incredible. I mean sure J R R does know how to drag out a damn scene but it's incredible" Ezra chuckles, turning to Thomas for a moment "You're coming Hogsmeade right?" He asks "I got a job over the summer and I want to go spend all the money I saved" He jokes, only half serious. He'd saved up for a new broom and the rest of his money was accounted for, but he did have a small portion that he could spend on anything.

As Kazimir approaches the table, Ezra gives him a nod in greeting, blushing as his earlier embarrassment is brought up but not correcting him "Morning" He replies, pulling his arm from around Thomas and grabbing some more pumpkin juice

Vivienne

Sh tucks her hair behind her hair and looks to Jane "Eat something, we don't want you fainting today. Jane you'll figure this out, you have all of us to help you and worse comes to worse I'm sure McGonagall will help you in any way she can." She tells her, nodding to what Baptiste said "See, if she isn't willing to help you then you get a free drink" Vivienne grins to her, finishing her breakfast and looking to Baptiste "You looking forward to Hogsmeade again?"

As Kazimir approaches them she gives him a warm smile "Morning sweetie, of course you can sit with us" She begins to shuffle up before Jane offers the seat beside her. "Are you joining us at Hogsmeade?" She asks him, looking to Jane as she lays the first clue out on the table, delicately touching it to pull it slightly closer, frowning at the odd markings "Well it's definitely not a language or a code or something like that" She tells her, looking between the two champions "If you want we can hit the library later and I'll see if I can help you find anything" She offers, sliding back to the center of the table.

Kasumi smirked, "Maybe, but this Quidditch Snob is going to make history here." she said with mock arrogance. If anything, she was scared out of her wits thinking about playing Quidditch. What if she completely screwed it up? Or got hurt? Or let the team down? But then again... Harry Potter couldn't see very well but he did fine! Oh wait, he wore glasses. While Carrie and Edward had tried to get the money for getting her glasses, they could never raise enough to get some. They always had to use the money for something else. It was always quite tight, with both of them being in university when they first took her in and while Carrie had a pretty steady job, Edward was never really able to keep a job going for more than six months at a time.

A rumble from her stomach reminded Kasumi of the food on her plate. The girl continued eating as she listened to Erza talk about J R R. "Yeah, I just kept getting distracted and I forgot to tell her that I finished it until the other day." she rubbed the back of her neck as she ate more bacon. She looked over at Thomas as he approached and Erza greeted him, Kasumi waved to greet him as well. "I'm going to Hogsmeade as well. I wanna get some more books and other things. Been wanting to get a Puffskein since I read about them in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' over the summer." she said before looking towards Jane who had approached the table and giving her a wave. She listened in to what the others were saying before shrugging, "Maybe it's something you can see only under some light or something you need to look in a mirror for." she suggested with a tilt of her head. She didnt have a clue, truthfully, but it seemed that nobody did. Whatever it was, it would be something big. It always was.

"That'd be great" Jane said in reply to Vivienne's offer of help, she then turned to Kasumi as she spoke about looking at the clue in a certain light or in a mirror "Thanks Kasumi, ill try that" Jane said smiling at her. The stress of figuring out the clue seemed to lighten a little as her friends offered to help her. Jane suddenly sat up straight, her mood suddenly changing, today she was going to forget about the clue and just try and enjoy Hogsmeade. She picked a little more at her sausage and eggs before finally starting to eat. "So, anyone thinking of trying out for the Quidditch team this year?" Jane asked the group, considering on trying out herself, last year Jane had been a chaser for the Gryffindor team but even that didnt garantee her a spot this year. She tried to think if any of her friends had been on the team last year, but couldnt quite remember if they had.

Kazimir nodded at Vivienne "Da, I plan on going, my father gave his permission this morning."  Kazimir watched the group's interactions as he ate his toast absentmindedly, he felt to awkward to talk with them. Although he found that sitting with people who didn't sneer at him a pleasant experience.

He winched at the idea of Quidditch, while his gracefulness did transfer to the broom, an occurrence from his childhood left him utterly terrified of heights. He was playing a game it was a childish one involving a broom that only floated enough for the then five year old's feet to graze the grass, he would throw a ball in the air and do his best to zoom after it and catch it. He was at it for hours when his uncle on his mother's side left the party his parents were throwing, and approached him.

He called Kazimir a few chosen names, very much drunk, and forced him on a real broom. "Its ze only vay you vill learn." His uncle slurred. At first it was fun rising higher and higher into the air, but it quickly got terrifying. He had begged his uncle to let him down, the man just laughed and told him it'll make him grow a pair. Eventuality he got high enough that he felt like he couldn't breath, like the air was too thin and he passed out. He woke up with a sore body and a healthy fear of heights.

He could still fly but only at minimum heights, definitely not Quidditch material much to his father's disappointment. He looked at Jane from the corner of his eye and wondered if she was there that night, it was a fuzzy memory.
